  1. Depends on the hospital in particular whether its worth it or not. Ive had to visit the local kanchanaburi public hospitals regularly with dying neighbours admitted there. Its horrid!!! Balls out on display for all to see, people shtng themselves, i dont need to see cathiders fitted, people.just bleeding from ill fitted butterfly clips and usually family have to clean up the mess, not enough beds so people lined up along corridors, family of just sleeping all over the place, smells like death and pollution with all windows open to the humidity and constant burning rubbish smell, people dying constantly and laying there for quite some time, doctor comes around everyonce and a while and they look like they are 15yrs old and know nothing and dont talk, nurses are just flatout lazy and sometimes theres not any nurses or doctors to be found with hundreds of desperately needing attention.

Ive been in private hospitals and the main difference is they cost more, little cleaner but they still have idiot doctors and lazy nurses. I had a curable disease that can be done for free world wide these days but at the time when the treatment arrived here it was easier to do it here. Cost 1m and my treatment was stopped early because i showed great results but the disease hadn't been killed off. I did treatment again which will usually fail with a small chance of success. It failed miserably and now my life will be shortened considerably do to the effects of the treatment let alone the disease.

I did a last ditch effort at curing myself by buying fake drugs from india and getting them in the country illegally which was a success but not sure yet if all the disease has gone. I should state that it cost 100,000b to get all drugs from india sofar with better success and i ended up spending 3m in thai hospital to be worse off. Thais get the treatment for free!

Should have just gone home for free treatment in the beginning.

Many private hospitals dont have equiptment needed also. I dont have faith in any hospitals here at all.

  2. I used to run an export biz and would send small packs daily with thai post. This happened to me repeatedly with things that were deemed unable to export like things that MAY contain oil, fuels and such.. i was selling motorcycle parts given this excuse but there are many banned things.

That said, they are absolute morons and strange things happen and as soon as you complain more strange things happen until your forced to use other delivery services to protect your biz.

There are many cases however that information is not updated in the public tracking system or entered wrong. If it hasn't returned this is probably whats happened but youll probably have to check.

Has to be the worst postal service on the world. Thank god for kerry for domestic!

Reading another post they quoted that you don’t need to leave after 90 Days, just do a 90 Day Report, is this so ?

if you re enter just before it expires do you have to apply some where to get the extra year or do you assume you have another year ?

If u re enter just before it expires you get a further 90 days. There is no specific number of times you can or cant leave within that year.

After your last entry you will need to go back to your home country to get a new multi no o-a visa.

Thats my understanding and what i do.

You can get the multi from other countries consulates but i have never bothered as this seems troublsome.

  4. I have a non o. Its a multi entry 1 year visa based on marriage. Every 90days you have to leave the country and re enter for a further 90days. Solong as you do your last visa run if thats your choice just do your last just within the 1yr timeframe and you will get basically a 1yr+90days.

I have never gone thebimmigration reporting route. Seems annoying so always do runs. Easy and cheap. I live close to the Myanmar border though.

  5.  not your faultIts not your fault. Its not you fault. The law states no dogs are allowed to roam free unattended. You should have kept going. That is the thai way. Being a foreigner no matter how descent you think you maybe when there is an issue you are the enemy. Offer nothing and tell them to take you to court.

If it were me i would ask them for damages in return and actually process a court hearing for which it would never get that far. Dont let the police try and negotiate money for the dog owner. Ask for legal assistance if needed. They now have to supply a lawyer but police are ignorant, dont know laws so just twiddle thumbs and play ignorant. You did nothing wrong.

Ive killed many and my neighbours have killed mine. Ive never got a cent from dogs killing my dogs on my property, etc so why should this scum.

Yeh in Aus if it happened the owner would be in trouble. Makes sense but i guess thats the diference between a civilized society and a zoo.

  6. Wow so much negative comments. The answer is simple as to why you see so many working. The parents  are usually lazy, like to bully and be controlling and also they like to keep family close for there own selfish but at the same time financial security. Those kids will end up in there 50s in the same crappy house doing the same crappy thing to there kids.

I agree though with the op ita weird but i get it. My personal opinion is that any kids under say 13-14 shouldnt be doing any such work. That said the mentality of a lot of parents is that of a 3yr old.

I left school as soon as i was old enough and worked full time and ran my own business from the age of 18.

  7. Couple posters are talking about sex and latin america aint for them. Well they have clearly not been with any latinis and probably have to either payfor it or are just plain weirdos or peadophiles. I was attracted to asians at one point. Its pathetic to admit but its true. You get enough of anything though and you get over it. same same.. And id like to add that ive never paid for it.

Thats my somewhat irrelevant 2cents worth of thoughts no one asked for..

  8. why would any normal person retire here anyway.... Luckily i have lived here for decades still too young to be officially retired but basically retired since 30. Probably in the next 10years or so we will move to my home country. Even things out a bit by taking the value back out of Thailand. Seems too strict and getting more so but when you put bad organization, corruption and greed in the mix im guessing 65k per month could be far better spent elsewhere. Foreign values are way to low to bother here.

  9. the immigration have been harsh. Feel for the poster. Not everyone is loaded and if they were its an embarrassment to be in Thailand. Far better places to sepnd money. Immigration should have let it through.

im on a non o just a lil young to retire but never will. Been here too long and spent more than i should. Ill border run and travel home indefinitely. Its cheaper and safer than extending and what not for me.

  10. wash ur undies separately. Problem solved!

Sorry i know this wasnt helpful but i couldnt resist...

could even be the water. I know in the past i realized the last rinse was stinking up the cloths so would stop it.

  11. phu nam ron is the best and its 960b. just walk to the first box with a window roadside. hand over your passport, pay the money and wait for a 1km ride by van or ute. the driver takes care of everything. you just enjoy the short trip to myanmar. all up its about 45min.

you dont need photos or photo copies or any of that garbage and there is no hagglers. pretty good!

  12. thais need to make money off the interest in a bank account. Nobody cares to verify anything. Thats why the price has gone up and no need to verify..

im not from the uk but couldnt do this. deal was i buy it everything and its in the wifes name. she works. We got the assets and live well but spare cash in those sums is tight for people that have worked out how to live here comfortably.
