  1. Yes . I have exactly the same problem. Commbank people said the same thing to me .They said take the phone to an AIS shop and ask them about whether it's been blocked for some reason . I'm waiting for my son to recover from covid so that he can make sure the people at the AIS shop understand the problem 100% -- my Thai is average . If thay can't help , the Commbank bloke said - to buy another sim with a different number and see if it works -- if so , put it in each time I try to make a transfer .
  2. I would have a condo in Jomtien and the Gold Coast , Australia -- and would visit Syd ney , London and Osaka frequently
  3. JP Hotel is walking distance to the action .If you have a car best not use it during Rocket Fest if you don't know your way around Yasothon . Like most of Thailand beer is available everywhere . There's a very friendly group of Thais and Farangs at the far end ( from your direction ) of the night market most nights . Outside food everywhere , Khun Ya is a good air Con restaurant -- 10 min walk from JP . A lot of ATMs run out of money during the RF as they did recently during Songkran . You'll need cash for everything so get sorted in the day , before you go out .
  4. I did the 45 + 30 days then land border run and was told quite clearly when I re entered that I could not do this again ( they gave me 45 days again ) and that I had to get a long term visa if I wanted to stay longer -- so that's only one land border run allowed . Also , I think that the 45 day on arrival thing stops at the beginning of March .
  5. It's only one course in height so it doesn't mater which way up .
  6. If I fly from Ubon - DM - Ubon , will a passport copy at check in be accepted , or must it be real passport only ? What about train bookings ?
  7. Just before the V became available it was supposed to lessen the likelyhood of getting it .When almost evryone got both it , V'd and nonV'd people , the lessening effect wasn't mentioned anymore .
  8. Would I be able to get IPTV with a formuler tv streaming device ?
  9. Being only one block high and non load bearing or retaining , nothing can really go wrong . Definetely use waterproofing that mixes with the mortar as well as on the blocks . If the concrete surface is very smooth ( unlikely in Thailand ) , rough it up a bit first .
  10. Steve -- how can the uploader problem be rectified ? Watching footballl and cricket is my main reason for getting IPTV and therefore the andriod box . I gave up trying to be technologically smart a long time ago .
  11. I'm about to order my first ever item on line , via Lazada -- an android box . Are all smart TVs compatable to all android boxes ? I have all the specifications for the A-box to give me IPTV . My TV is a Samsung UHD AU/7700 ( 55 inch 138cm ) . Will this be ok with an 8 or 4gb/64gb , 11 tvbox ,Amlogic s905x4 2.4+5g ethernet 1000 dual wi fi Android box -- I'd hate to get it , only to be told I need a different type of TV ?
  12. Does anyone that lives in Ubon know of a shop that has a large range of Android Boxes to choose from ?

    Prescrition glasses .

Thanks Denim . There is a Top Charoen place here but I'm a bit worried about the acurracy of the testing . I can't give them old lenses to make the glasses because I've lost them . Have you or soemone you know of had prescription glasses from TC after eye testing ?
  14. Can anyone tell me where I can get my eyes tested for getting distance glasses ( everything beyond looking at computer distance ) and then buy them , preferable from the company that tested for them ? I hope I can get it done locally here in Yasothon , but accept that I might have to go to Ubon . I've lost the glasses I brought from Australia' s ' Specsavers " a few months ago . They cost AUD $ 250 . Hoping for cheaper here .
  15. Yes , thank you .I am looking into them . waiting for my son to come home to help translate some the writing .
  16. Is a magicsee box specific to 3BB or would it also work with AIS , which is my wifi provider ??
  17. IPTV has told me via e-mail that I need box with 3/4 gb of Ram and 32gb of Rom to access their stuff . Esp Premier lg , cricket and NRL .It's all their sport that I really want , plus some movies for my 10 y.0 son
  18. Thanks Longball , You are spot on with your first two sentences . There are no local people to help and have been told in the biggest IT place in Yaso ( via my wife's translation ) that I cannot buy an android box in Yasothon .Unfortunately the person who put me on xtreme IPTV , already had the box, tv , wifi set up when he moved in -- he can't really help me -- he's in Hua Hin -- I'm in Yasothon , Issan . I don't have car -- would a town like Ubon Ratchathani have an IT mall that evryone's talking about ?
  19. So , this looks like a VPN and an android box are one and the same ??
  20. Thanks Peter . Does that mean that the smart TV already contains 3/4GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM already in it ? As I said my friend's rental condo has wifi connected to an android box and the TV
  21. I am very tech unsavy and have been told that I need an android box to connect to my WiFi and smart TV in order to get IPTV . It must have 3/4GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM ( don't know what ROMs and RAMs are ) and a google playstore . Very few people at tech shops speak english here in this Issan town . Is it possible to walk into a shop and buy the box I require . My wifi provider is AIS but they never know what I'm talking about when I go there . IPTV gave me above info and told me to get a firestick ?? and go to Amazon ? The only Amazon shop here sells coffee and the only other Amazon I know is the river and jungle . I want a box , not a stick because my friend who has a box and IPTV might be able to help me connect it ( his box and IPTV were already included when he moved into his rental condo ).
