I have heard of a condo in pattaya taking a bar to court over excessive noise (causing condo rooms to be unsellable and unrentable) and winning the case. Not saying where it is as its ongoing.

Most popular spots on the beach for thai people and many tourists are the natural beaches with trees and shade which are free to sit on. Beach ‘make overs’ only serve those with vested interests in making money from the construction !

I have noticed at the police checkpoints in pattaya that they mostly stop tourists and the locals sail through without helmets . Seen this many times in jomtien and 2nd road.

All they have created is an artificial desert which heats up the beach more .Plus people have to walk much further to get to the sea over scorching sand. They destroyed Don tan with the road now they going to finish the job,why cant they just leave the beach alone?

Do they even know what sustainable means? mass tourism overloading the eco system and infrastructure is not sustainable tourism! In the long run more does not =better. Tats goal of ramming ever more tourists into thailand will just kill the golden goose,(which is on life support right now)! There is some hope though with thai national parks closing to let the eco system regenerate.lets hope we see more projects like this.????

As are tour buses key components in blocking traffic in pattaya.
