I think you mean, sick people near the West Virginia, Kentucy, Virginia borders. Never read a John Grisham novel?
Not in 20 years at least.

It's ok, he is fighting with everyone including himself.
Ah man, I thought you would let me answer this alone.

My point was more in regards to WV which is my home. Darling let's not fight we are surrounded by zombies.
I appreciate the sweet condescending homosexual term of indearment, but would rather you don't use it with me sir. I am not your darling and its not a word I use when addressing other men, nor would I expect other men to use it with me. If you are a woman, still not your "darling".

That would be the US government, would it not? And of course its Commerce Department that incentivized US coporations to offshore their jobs to China.
You believe the USA is the source of all the worlds problems, at least that is the line you continuously post. Everywhere. All the time. Usually while turning a blind eye to CCP, Iran etc. On to you buddy!

I don't see it that way. At least WV isn't pumping up ventilators with 80% failure rates bankrupting themselves to keep people alive that were dead two weeks ago. Wv is used to grave hardship. Constantly reminded of how stupid they are and completely under served by any branch of government you can think of.
As bad as that sounds it makes me the sexiest man in the furthest most northern point of the south statistically recognized by the census. Hancock county.
My neighbor who I am drinking with just leaned on me and said Biden can come and do push up contests anytime he wants to.
All interesting but nothing at all to do with what said in response to a point about cancer.

I have been living here for nearly five years without car, but in the next 5 months I plan on making the exact same choice as you in the same price range! Congratulations!! That has to feel great!

But do you believe in I live in Manhattan, don.t have a job , or food for the week after next and Cuomo is going to solve my problem? Dominos pizza bills are beginning to add up.
Are grocery stores in NYC closed? Are people forbidden from visiting them?

West Virginia is pretty country if you don't happen to find yourself in a strip mine cancer cluster. I'll let you know next time I'm in the neighborhood.

You said it is a choice to support a dictator or not. So I was simply wondering why you support the current regime in Thailand by your presence. I often wonder why expats in Thailand actually care what happens in the USA. I am not trying to confront you but it is the same question I would ask JT.
Isn't there better ways to use your time if you do not live in the USA? I live in West Virginia. New Cumberland to be more precise.
Thailand is in transition away from military rule. And have recently held an election. Thailands people can handle that transition perfectly alone by themselves. And YES that is their responsibility NOT mine. I am not involved in anything to do with the Government by my presense.
I support a Thai family with my presense. My wife votes as she sees fit. I still am an American citizen. Still vote. Still have family in the USA and still am American, and still love my Country. Odd you would be in West Virginia and wondering about me posting on a site called ThaiVisa.

The intention of my post was 'this thread has nothing to do with China, but still you try to pull them in'. Unfortunately many posts are like that, you reply with your own frustrations.
You brought up China, and asked ME about how my heart (health) was. I responded.

Sorry for this question but by your own standard why are you in Thailand?
Why are you asking me such a question? What are you trying to imply?

I don't believe in 'orange man bad' nor do I believe in defending a country.
I do believe in facts though.
Don't believe in defending your country? There is only one word for that: Cowardice. Even if it means defending it from the Tyranny of its own Totalitarian Govt.

My heart is fine. My blood pressure is in the green. My weight excellent. My abs just starting to show again. Thanks to exercise. Age 61. I will live long enough to see China's CCP fall just like the Soviet Union fell. And all their mouthpieces and syncophants will be hunted down for being the enablers that they are. Not frustrated man. Right on course. How bout you? How's your heart doin?

The 'fly over' states aren't exactly self supporting are they. Due to trump administration political decisions 'fly over states' have required massive Federal subsidies for the agricultural industry.
Just a few days ago trump declared it was state level decisions on when to commence relaxing stay at home / social distancing and so on, but within hours trump reverted to type retweeting highly partisan reversal of his guidelines. There would be no need for all the hyperbole if trump could control his impulses, unfortunately he is incapable to fulfil his role as President of the USA.
Another gem of incompetence by the trump administration...
Your link has nothing to do with your discussion. Zero.

Not sure that those people had much choice in the matter ??
People around the world are responsible for the Governments that they have. Including those that are led by brutal totalitarian regimes. Everyone has a choice.

I suggest that Americans tranferring funds to Thai bank use Bangkok bank and not Transferwise. It is far cheaper.

it will be many years till pattaya gets going again .due to unemployed who cant afford thai trips any more and will struggle to put food on the table and pay rent..they will try to sell assets but so will many others and it will be a buyers market for assets..we are entering a global slump ..its like year zero on an industrial scale
I think this is far more grim then what the reality will be. In 2021 they will be coming.

Changes to requirements to enter the country I expect....just an opinion....
Will change soon....as other nations reopen I expect Thailand will look for ways to get the tourists back.
One think I expect is some sort of instant 5 minute test that will be paid for by the flier perhaps as preboard.
At least in a way that can yield a fast easily obtained document for flying, and accepted worldwide.

What a mess the U.S is in on just about every level. I just hope that these governors who have been given authority to open their states will do the right thing, because its not looking like the federal government has the capacity to do so. If there is a large "re-opening on the 1st of May you'll see a second spike that was completely avoidable, and with 34,000 dead already from this virus in the U.S that is an absolute crime. Anyways, I hope all the best for the U.S my home country, but i can't see too much good in the near future, or long future for that matter.
Yer about as American as dim sum

Please, find a new hobby. The Chinese are throwing Africans into the streets and banning them from restaurants. Well at least they won't have 20 carriers as quickly as they thought. I expect the Chinese thrown out of Africa soon enough. Such racism doesn't concern you... coming from a dangerous totalitarian state? A state that unleashed yet ANOTHER plague upon the world!

Try again, chrome browser works, with the online version website, not the phone, as of 2 days ago. If you do not have a laptop, and app not working, try the online version. And if issues with that on phone call up desktop version of website.
The issue I had with phone app is that lat long location button shutting down app.

Keep hearing it's a small part of the economy...yet apparently each of the 40 million tourists spend 5,000 baht a day...without tourism Thailand is nothing...it's rice exports have diminished as has the car industry......they don't really export or make anything else...
Anything in double digits isnt a small part...tie that to the rest of the mess.... the drought, reduced crop yields....it's gonna be tough times, not a baht crash, or total collapse some are saying but tough times. Not a time to bet on Baht rising.
