  1. hmm..vehicles present at the DLT... Here is my situation.

I am living in BKK for many years, non o visa.

Renting  a condo in BKK. But I also rent a small condo in chiang mai. I spent a few weeks in BKK and a few weeks in CM. Back and forth.

So my plan was to buy a new scooter in CM. I don't need a scooter in BKK. The dealer in CM said no problem, he will register. Just need proof of residence. But i cant apply in CM as i am registered in BKK. On my last trip to BKK i applied already for proof of residence paper. Will receive next week i think. I thought with my next upcoming trip to BKK I will register my bike at DLT, and then I will take the license plate with me back to CM.

But if I have to take the bike with me to the DLT in BKK then it will  be difficult. And i also not want to buy a new scooter in bkk and drive up to CM

    Any solutions for this problem?

    Thank you

  2. Hello,

My car is now more than 7 years old,  i understand I have to apply for a certificate of roadworthiness ( MOT) first before I can  buy a new tax sticker.

I read I can do the certificate at the DLT at chatutchak, but it seems it will take a very long time as it is mostly busy there.

Unfortunately i don't have the time for this at the moment

There are also private testing centers where I can get this certificate. Can anybody suggest a center in BKK somewhere around suk road or close by. Or what is the exact name I can search with google maps. car testing center or similar i only get a few results.

Can these private testing centers also manage to buy the new tax sticker?

    Thank you

  3. Hi,

a few weeks ago they sold in Macro B(Bangkok) Black diamond Pomegranate (that name was printed on the label)

. I am a big fan of pomegranates, and this was the best i ever  had eaten.

The fruit inside is very dark red, almost black, sour flavour , much better taste then the regular pomeranate.

Of course it was only a short time promotion at macro, now all fruits are sold out.

Does anybody know a place where i can buy or order this black diamond pomegranate.

    Thank you

  4. ...one more question...my due date of the 90 day report was last monday 13th. Last thursday the 9th i register for the new online 90 day report service.  I received two email, one for registration and one for receiving the informations, but the status is since one week pending. When is the last day i can do the 90 day report in person at muang thong thani without paying the 2000 THB fee?

    Thank you

  5. Hello,

a good friend of mine made a covid test at a Hospital in BKK yesterday. He had fever for a few days and is coughing a lot. Today afternoon hospital called him and told him the test was positiv.

They told him they will call him back if they can arange a free bed, but nobody called him. So he called back, but they told him just to wait. Now i start to get a bit worry, as his state become more worse,

and it become difficult for him to take care of these things. And i am not sure if he understand what is going on.

I called some hospitals, Bumrungrad, BH, but they said they are all full.

Anyone an idea how i can find a place in a hospital for him?

    Thank you

  6. @eisfeld

There are two sellers on Lazada, but they not have stock and have to import the bike first also.

Seller A Price 130.000 THB, need 75  days and i have to pay 50.000 THB deposit

Seller B Price 160.000 THB need 30 days and deposit is 50 %.

But this is to risky for me.

This bike is very light, only 50 KG, easy to put in the back of a pick up. It is very impressive. There are a lot of videos on YT where they compete against 125CC or even 450CC

  7. Hello,

Nov 2020 i have to do my first extension of my NON O Visa based on retirement. When i apply last year in november i showed 800.000 THB in my kasikorn account. The IO told me the 800.000 THB have to stay three month in my account, and after that three month the minimum deposit must be 400.000 THB. Two Month before my extension the amount must be 800.000 THB again.

I asked the IO if the minimum amount of 400.000 THB can also converted in another currency. IO said that is not a problem as long as it is equal to 400.000 THB. So after 3 month i transfered around 500.000 THB in euro to my euro account also at kasikorn Bank. This money i never touched. In september i plan to transfer from another account outside thailand 300.000 THB again to my THB account. So i have 500.000 THB in euro on my euro account. And 300.000 THB in my THB account. So complete 800.000 THB again. Both at Kasikorn Bank here in TH.

So today i met a friend and he told me this is not possible. The money have to be in THB here in Thailand, Immigration will not accept another currency for an extension. Now i start to be a bit worry, and i not find any information which is 100% clear. Can someone give me advice whether this is true or not?

    Thank you

  8. Hello,

want to share my experience today at CW immigration and ask if i have any other options ...

I am german nationality, over 50 years old, at the moment i stay on tourist visa extension

So today i applied to convert my TV to a non immigrant o visa based on retirement,

I had the usually documents with me. I dont have the 800000 THB in a thai bank account, so i used the monthly income method

I had bank statements from the last 12 month with me, and also 12 bank advises where is it shown i get every month more then 65000 THB a month from oversea into my KK Bank account. I had also the bank letter with me. All documents are original and provided from my KK Bank branch.

Unfortunately the IO didn`t accept this. She said i must either have 800.000 THB in my thai bank account or i must show a proof of income from my german embassy that i am retired already and have a minimum monthly income of 65.000 THB. I told her politely that i read there is a new rule since beginning this year that it is also ok when i show proof of income from a bank outside thailand and transfered to a bank in thailand, because some embassy will not provide this proof of income anymore. But all i heared was can not, can not, can not. ..i still keep on asking, she asked a colleague, but the outcome was the same "can not". She made clear again, 800.000 THB or letter from embassy.

I have now only 15  days left on my TV extension, so i have to leave and apply for a new tourist visa outside TH again. I read also i can apply for a non immigrant o visa based on retirement outside thailand but i have to show a police clearing and a proof that i am retired already. Police clearing will be no problem, but it will take 4 weeks, so time is to short.

Is there any embassy in laos, vietnam, indonesia, or a country nearby which not ask for a police clearance and proof of retirement when i apply for a non immigrant o visa based on retirement? I can show bank statements from banks outside thailand with sufficient funds.

    Thank you....

  9. Hello,

next monday i will go to immigration in Bangkok CW and will try to convert my tourist visa extension to a 90 day non immigrant o visa , so i can apply later for a one year extension (retirement)

I will use the use the monthly income method.

I get from  Kasikorn Bank a full set of bank statements from the last 12 month, and i have 12 printed bank advises (one for every month for the past year)

where it is shown the money was transferred from outside thailand.

I just have a question about this bank letter and the thai bank book

    - has this bank letter a special name, what informations must this letter contain.

the letter has to generate the same day i apply for visa right?

That means before i go to immigration i have to go to my KK Bank

I see there is also a KK Bank at the CW government building, can they obtain also this letter of i have to do in my

branch where i opened my account?

    - Thai bank book...i not update regularly, so there will not be a lot of entrys to see for the IO.

I just make an update at the machine the same day i apply for visa, and a copy of the last entry

    Is that right also?

    Thank you very much......

  10. Hello,

i read now a lot of topics but i am not 100% sure my understanding is right. Can please someone help me

In two month i will turn 50. I will apply for a retirement visa in chaengwattana after my birthday.

At the moment i stay with a new Tourist Visa which is valid for 60+30 days extention

So the first step is, i apply for a non-immigrant O visa which is valid for 90 days. 30 days before this non immigrant visa ends i can apply for a one year extension.

How long before i need to transfer the 800.000 THB to my thai bank account when i apply first time for this 90 day non-immigrant O visa?

Does the 800.000THB have to be in a thai bank account, or can be any bank account in another country.

when i apply for a one year extension the 800.000 THB must be in a thai bank account for minimum 60 days before i apply?

    Is that right?

    Thank you....
