It's pretty much the same 20 posters driving the hate on the forums. Miserable old gits stuck near a jungle somewhere with nothing better do 24/7

Tens of thousands of bottles of wine will turn to vinegar soon without foreigners around to drink it.
Prices will go back after they shift old stock

What about those that got vaccinated in one country and plan to fly out with a COE from another country. Mate of mine doing this but can he?

Still using room night to make the figures appear higher than they really are, I see.
I note that room night numbers were nowhere to be found when arrival numbers were climbing due to the influx of Chinese even though western arrival numbers were down. I wonder why?
Why would they play with the numbers and leave them so small?

How many retirees without a bean left before next pension? How many retirees without any form of health insurance? How many retirees leaving the Thai health system to pick up the tab?
How many are dying with the tax payer paying for cremation?
The contribution to society is very very tiny and of course the thais know this! But reading this forum you would think the whole village must worship big bwana

Just go to Phuket for 14 days and you can fly to Bangkok. Will cost you 1k for a flight. Just do it.
It's an option that's tested and works.

So will punters be able to fly straight to a Bangkok hotel or still has to be Phuket?

Fantastic? I was hoping for 'real' not fantasy...
The Phuket sandbox was smashed on the threads here as fantasy as well before becoming "real"
There are going to be big changes if they hope to catch high season however we will have to wait for any final details. This TAT announcement would have half of it lost in translation alone as usual

Wow thats an extortionate price 8k, most private hospitals do it for 3,5 k and still make a fat profit, they really have been gouging the cherished visitors.
That's for 3 tests
-
In a post by Richard Barrow on Facebook it also says the cost of covid test to be halved.
So a drop from the current 8k.

what point are you trying to make
Tree Town is open ? and one 7/11 opposite and the cops will be along soon to arrest you for breathing
What are you being snarky about? I provided proof
And it's not one 7/11 every 711 from treetown down to Tukom including many restaurants open. Get on your bike and go look ???? or take my word for it I'm staying in buhakao!
All bars are shut but that's old news
Your on the darkside which is very dark ATM

it is even difficult to find a 7/11 open
Plus there still remains a curfew in place from 9pm
madness
Tree Town right now no tables available and the cocktail bus open and busy all 7/11 down to near Tukom open including family marts and Tesco.
Are you on the dark side that would explain it.

Only the right of the regime to demand impunity and take down anyone that threatens it...
Nobody on TV gut the guts to protest anyway preferring the keyboard warrior line of attack.
Just sayin

Absolutely. And kids in private schools using the UK curriculum were lucky that school closures coincided with the normal school holidays. Thai kids were meant to be in school for those two whole months!
Trying to keep the school thing linked to the thread topic, there is so much focus on the baht to be raked in from tourists, but I never see a government comments bemoaning the lack of schooling.
I’m beginning to sound like Brewster, but the contradiction in terms of, on the one hand enticing in tourists at almost any cost, whilst on the other hand keeping kids out of school, is just too much to ignore. Both happening at the same time within a small island with a highly vaccinated island.
Life comes before school. Those kids are safe at home. Lives being destroyed is and should be top priority.

Yes I'm in retirement. Personally zero stress for me in Thailand even with covid.
Spend 6-7 months each year Samet and rest Bangkok. Stress if you want. Up to you.
Yep that's me in the red T.
Life is tough?
Sounds great but what do you do on samet? Is the phone internet ok?

Wake me when the numbers are 100k.

UK reporting big infection numbers daily nearly 40k regardless of vaccinated so it's not the answer, covid is not going away
Thailands cautious approach to tourism is the right one for now

I think we all agree this will end in tears.
It might for you if your not vaccinated. Thais ran out of tears and switched to suicide
This is a good move
If Pattaya officials want to re-open Pattaya they should be arranging jabs for all the working girls.
