    There actually is a "cyber" law against spreading false news on the internet. Can we assume that this ministry will be prosecuted accordingly?

    I mean, what's good for the goose (us, the unwashed public) also should be good for the gander (the government), right? Or does the Thai government not have to observe its own laws, perhaps? Is it exempted?

    On a different note, there actually should be 2 charges: one for spreading a fake picture, claiming it to be factual; and another for having delivered one of the worst, most amateurish Photoshoip jobs I have ever seen anywhere.

    Computer criminal act section 14

    Section 14. If any person commits any offence of the following acts shall be subject to

    imprisonment for not more than five years or a fine of not more than one hundred thousand baht or both:

    (1) that involves import to a computer system of forged computer data, either in whole or in part, or false

    computer data, in a manner that is likely to cause damage to that third party or the public;

    (2) that involves import to a computer system of false computer data in a manner that is likely to

    damage the country's security or cause a public panic;

    The prices here even for the highest tier are less than currently charged by most govt hospitals to all fee paying patients.  In other words these publications are largely ignored and do not reflect actual pricing

    Those govt  hospitals which see a large  volume of foreign patients have long had double pricing. Those which see few foreign patients don't bother

    Not yet because a lot of hospitals have not yet introduced it but they will. Because the matter is complex, the hospitals go for the easy way and adjust there prices equal to the ministry ceiling prices. The king mongkut hospital has done exactly that! It is actually a violation of the regulation itself!

    they confirm to me that the price was 15,000 baht

    No, the price is not 15,000. The ministry have set the ceiling price at that but the hospital have to calculate according true cost without revenue. The board must sign and agree on the price setting. At least that is the regulation.

    But the hospitals are not willing to calculate the true cost because it is much simpler to set the price equal to ceiling price and much more beneficial to the hospital $$

    Always ask the price at the hospital according there own price list, NOT the MoPH regulation ceiling price. Hospitals MUST publish there price list!

    well they won't reach those numbers unless you test for them otherwise people just died of ........................... something and got something

    the right question to ask this so called "senior health minister" is - how many tests for CV-19 have actually been done in Thailand ???????????????

    UK are doing 10,000 per day soon to increase to 25,000 - the rest of the west are also testing huge numbers along with Japan S'Korea Malaysia and Singapore

    WHAT ABOUT THAILAND ???????????? the self claimed Medical Hub of South East Asia - How many tests have you done ???????????????

    Thailand has done 17,829 tests. Phillippines only 3303. Have a look on wikipedia COVID-19 testing.

  5. It seems that nobody realizes that Thais do not have to pay in the gov hospital appointed to them at all. Not even the mandatory 30 baht. The old pricelist of the hospital was for the group of cash paying patients that was based on non-profit, and that included foreigners also. Government hospitals are not allowed to make profits. Government hospitals are not subsidized but are self sufficient. It is the free healthcare for Thais that is subsidized but you can't ask the cash paying patient to pay that bill. That bill has to come from the government tax. And yes, foreigners also do pay tax, they do not have tax exempt. But the government is not willing to cover the full expenses of the rising cost of the free healthcare.
