    Try Gourmet Market in Emporium

Out of stock at Gourmet Market at Paragon.

I'm not actually looking for it.  Tabasco is not my favorite.  I just noted recently that it was out of stock everywhere I went.

    I cook a lot of Tex-Mex.

  2.  Some Americans will understand:

    No Tabasco in stock.

    Crystal not available anymore.

Franks Hot Sauce may be running low but is still on Tops online.

Louisiana Hot Sauce may be running low but is still on Tops online.

There are a few overpriced sellers on Lazada and Shopee.

Reminds me of the Great Refried Beans Fiasco of 2009 when Villa arbitrarily decided that Casa Fiesta refried beans needed to triple in price overnight before coming to their senses a few months later.

Agree and seem all the same inside, with small variations on how the magnet works.

Actually, the point of my starting this thread was to find a toaster that toasts well, not one that lasts a long time. By toast well I mean fully browned evenly on both sides.  I was unclear about that.

However, it is also true that all my toasters have eventually malfunctioned, usually because one bank of the heating elements stops working.  All of them have been Thai or Chinese brands costing around 300 baht.

  4. I have an Electrolux toaster oven.  The on/off knob is a twist timer to the right that is completely smooth.  Impossible to turn with the slightest moisture on my hand and if you turn it off and go slightly too far to the left it is designed to stay on.  I have done that accidentally a few times and only noticed the toaster oven blazing away a half hour later.

There is no possible way Electrolux does not know about this design flaw.  I'm guessing it has caused more than one kitchen fire.  There are discussions of it online.

So, it seems to me that something ain't like it used to be at Electrolux.

It's a little bit more than that as in you have full entitlement to use the property and reap the reward. ie you could create a long term lease to a third party (not a transfer of the usufruct itself).

My understanding is that a usufruct has a fixed fee and no remuneration is needed between the person obtaining the usufruct and the chanote holder. I paid 75 baht last week for a 30 year usufruct on 14+ rai of land.

I don't think any land office is going to allow the holder of a usufruct to register a long term lease to a third party that extends beyond the death of the usufruct holder.  That is just some foreign lawyer's idea of what the rights of the usufruct holder include and, as far as I know, it has never happened.  However, I would be happy to be proven wrong.

Foreign lawyers come up with these legal theories and parade them as fact.

  6. I've probably had 5 cheap toasters over the years  in Thailand and all were mediocre.  Any suggestions for a truly good toaster in 1000-1500 baht range?  All the recommended ones on consumer reports etc. are not available here.  I like to toast an occasional bagel and whole wheat bread.  Thanks!

Logitech M221 Silent Wireless Mouse, Lazada 150 baht.

Bought 2 weeks ago. Works perfectly.

At that price it is certainly fake, but if it works, it works.

The trick is to break the cycle, and find your nightly routine that lets you get enough quality sleep without medication as a long term solution.

Melatonin and magnesium pills don't really do anything for me.

What does work is Stilnox.  You can buy a strip of 10mg over the counter in Thailand.

10mg gives 8 hrs sleep (ish).  Half a tablet ie 5mg is perfect for a solid 4hrs.

Just keeping it by my bed, not taking it, helps me sleep better because if I wake at 2pm and dont fall asleep again naturally I have a plan B.  Just knowing it's there helps me relax!

It's 'clean' ie no drowsiness in the morning.

    It really works. Avoid alcohol.

    Known as Ambien in USA.

Well, it seems unlikely to me that you bought Stilnox OTC in Thailand.  I guess it is possible that someone was selling smuggled Indian Stilnox.  Just curious, how much did you pay and where was it?  I have seen pharmacists in tourist areas sell people antihistamines for sleep when they ask for Xanax and tell them they are getting "same same" Xanax.

I know one that does it for 599 baht, if this helps. Suggest also you change your attitude, being a bit defensive in your comments when asking for help is not the way to go.

Thanks for your advice.  Like we say in Texas, with a wink and a smile ... Bless your heart.

Hi, no one is answering OP's question (to which I have the same question!!) - Does any know / use an agency in BKK that does 90-day reporting?   Preferably located in Asoke/Ploenchit/Chit Lom area?

I appreciate that everyone has an opinion of the online system, etc. but when it doesn't work, I prefer to pay someone instead of wasting my time.

    Thanks.

Bumrungrad Office Center at the hospital does it for 650 baht.  You don't need to be a patient. Good service.

The biggest shortcoming with these 90-dayonline reporting rejections is there is no error code to explain why it was rejected.

Back when they implemented the whole system they had to make a decision as to whether notification would be acceptable or if the notification itself would need to be subject to an approval process.   Maybe it was a no-brainer for them.

If you are using passport number + the magnifying glass to pull up previous data then check dates in the report before submitting it.

I had my last report rejected because "visa stay expires" was an old date, I've never had to update that date before, had always been done by immigration office when applying for a new 1 year stay (retirement).

I do use the magnifying glass and did check all the dates.  😞
