I had a lot on my mind due to building a house plus a problem with getting a Tax ID # for my wife which has been dragging on for more then 8 months. Nevertheless I lost focus when I was on the bike and when I looked up I knew I was in a heap of trouble since I was too far over on the shoulder and was heading for the downsloping embankment. I tried to compensate by accelerating and swerving to the right away from the embankment and the next thing I knew I had done a face plant on the pavement.

Had a few over the years, many near misses. Collarbone being most major..... .....surprisingly it happened in similar circumstances to the OP. When riding motorcycles, the only thing that should be on your mind, is the task at hand.

I know people who do contracting work, they make enough money to come here for 2,3 or 4 months ( or longer ). If there's a shortage of work they might not come for a year or two.

Would they not be considered tourists?

Wouldn't the distinction be the activities engaged in while here, for however long, differentiate the nomenclatures. As I'm sure you're well aware, there are many types of tourists and previously you were more interested in what would have you designated long stay, expat etc. Over 180 days; long stay expat. Irregular vistitors under 180 days; tourists of all persuasions. How do you view irregular family visits? Thanks for the chat Harry but; I'm done with semantics regarding this however, you feel free to tie yourself in knots for as long as you like.

They don't come at the same time every year to escape winter.....

    Any season birds?

People on long service leave, retirees on multi year round the world trips. Most definitions of long stay, expat etc. would be anyone staying over 180 days. Thai immigration seem to think that's a cutoff point and if you haven't got unlimited portability, the Australian government does as well.

When you say all of your papers? What papers? I thought all you need is your passport and TM47 form

Because of @cliveshep particular situation, I'd hazard a guess the ones outlined in his post; possibly with passport copies and TM 30 as well. "So a lady took my passport and the papers we'd brought, copy of expired TM47, postal receipt, result of tracking showing delivery the following day, 14 days before expiry."

The 3rd woman to complain needs to get a life. How can a guy asking a girl if he can kiss her be harrasment

The article seems to be lacking any mention of asking for the kiss or permission being granted here: "Sending her a rose on Valentine's Day and kissing her on the mouth". Provided those are the pertinent facts, what would you prefer it was called; if not harassment?

So perhaps it's you who needs to get a life!

Drop into an all Thai nightclub sometime with a rose and and plant one on the prettiest girl in the room without consent. I'm sure you'll get more out of life than never thought was possible.

And if the airline (for your/my overseas travel) wants proof of vaccination before they will confirm a booking, do you send them a scan/capture of the yellow book page? (Which could easily be a photoshop production.)

Or do you front up to an airline office to show the original (which might have been photoshoped)?

    Or???

All highlighting that in modern times digital/easily & quickly verifiable online proof of vaccination is much more sensible/practical.

We all know the Thais love to stamp things. There'll be special ink used that can't be forged and UV lights involved...... It will be safe.

Vaccinated Thais will get the passport, but no word on the several million foreigners living here as ever..

Who do you suggest the "Passport" field is for on the front cover then. Thais have an ID card field there......

It would probably be welcomed by aliens who get vaccinated in Thailand to facilitate an easier entry to their country of origin.

My sincerest apologies, I didn't mean you, I responded to you as I thought you would be interested in the article.

In hindsight I should have started with the word "other".

Humbly accepted @sandyf And while I'm not interested for myself per se, I can think of someone who is. Looks like that's tomorrow taken care of then.... It'll be like a trip to the IO minus all of the officialdom......

Registering is free, and the 7,000 baht from my understanding is deposited by two 3,500 baht payments per month over two months, and it is only if the applicant is successful, apparently you only get one crack at it, my wife was rejected and they don't give you a reason, her sisters and family all got theirs, can't tell you more than that, maybe someone else can.

This is a database for Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs), all data is sourced from VigiBase, the WHO’s global database:
    http://vigiaccess.org/
Search “Comirnaty” -the trade name for the Pfizer Covid vaccine-on this site.

So, according to your source almost every disease known to man is now linked to the Pfizer Covid vaccine through an ADR. I'm in no way denying the possibility of ADR's, though the way it's being presented here is ludicrous in the extreme......

  11. Clarification needed please...... A relative "assisting" in the rental of GF's farm. Is it the GF's farm or, are her and the relative renting it from someone else? Crystal clear facts can make all the difference to responses.

The thread is not irrelevant at all, the original post was about two different routes to Hua Hin, one by sea to Pattaya and the flights to Udon Thani and Chiang Mai, the article is very clear about that.

Some people have become confused and claiming that flights to Pattya are unviable, that's probably true, but flights to Pattaya were not discussed in the original post, which mentioned the two routes that are starting again in April to Udon Thani and Chiang Mai.

I suspect the bridge will never happen, but who knows?

From time to time facetiousness is my preferred method of conversation
