  1. Only had a waiting problem once; as a newbie. I always use my app & pay through the banking transfer option (PAYSERVI); then immediately go back to your Lazada account/go to chats/confirm delivery address. You'll soon have more confirmation emails than you know what to do with.

The only way to make it even vaguely foolproof is to have the vaccine passport linked directly to peoples own passport, ie a government official addition, rather than merely a document which can be faked .

So when I get my paper vaccination certificate fake or otherwise; I'll take it to my Embassy to have it inserted into my passport officially...... because I'm pretty sure they're not accepting any responsibility for seeing their sovreign citizens vaccinated here.

  3. I get the same message of overstay using the app...... previously in one of the many threads on the subject a couple of members said to correct it, just enter you last entry date and permitted to stay date in those relevant fields and it's good to go. Next report due 12 February which is second last day so I'll be giving it a try. Last report was done online because of app overstay issue, also on second last day.

Will report back......the worst that can happen is 6-7 day over at the office. ????

  4. No new driver’s license until Emergency Decree ends

The Department of Land Transport (DLT) has announced that there will be no driver license services until the Emergency Decree in Thailand ends. Jirut Wisarnjit the DLT Director-General reported that the Department will be moving all driving license services out. Originally the plan was to re-open the services again on 7 May 2020, but due to the extension of the emergency decree the DLT has also moved out the date and the services will continue when the emergency decree ends. The goal is to minimize the spread of Covid-19, as a safety measure to the people and the employees at DLT.

Those with an expired driver’s license from 2 January 2020 to the date when the emergency decree ends will have an extension as long as Thailand is still in an emergency state. The DLT has notified the Royal Thai Police and the Office of Insurance Commission to allow those with an expired driver’s license since 2 January 2020 to continue driving on the road. The Insurance Commission will make sure that those with insurance will be able to claim the costs in case of an accident provided that you are driving the type of vehicle as registered in the driver’s license. For example, a Private Car Driving License, a Taxi Driving License, and etc.

For those who have already booked an appointment with the DLT for a driver’s license examination or to renew their driver’s license will be served first when the driving license services open for business as usual. The officer at the DLT will provide those who have previously made an appointment to enter the exam or to renew their driver’s license before those with no previous appointments. When the services become available, the DLT will continue to practice safety precautions in the prevention of the virus. This is to make sure that the people will not be at risk when visiting a Provincial DLT Branch.

Thailand’s nationwide Emergency Decree has been extended again

Thailand’s nationwide Emergency Decree has been extended again, this time until the end of February. The decree gives the Thai government the ability to set policies and procedures to prevent the control the spread of Covid-19… things like restricting travel, setting up road checkpoints and introducing other restrictions without having to consult the parliament.

Government spokesperson Anucha Burapachaisri says it is just an extension of the decree that is currently in place that was initially set to end on January 15. The extension, adding on another 45 days, was proposed by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration and approved by the Thai Cabinet this week.

The initial emergency decree was enacted in March last year and has been extended ever since.

  5. Morrison has bi-polar or schizophrenia...... "It is why I asked Australians to return home on March 17, 2020. At the time, DFAT expressly warned of the difficulties, noting that travel was becoming ‘more complex and difficult’."

He then went on to "advise those abroad to find a safe place to stay, follow local rules and keep in contact with Australian embassies." Is it any wonder people got stuck?

The premium is irrespective of age (crazy!),

    What is crazy about this?

Because it's alledged the elderly are more susceptible to  Covid, yet they only pay the same as a 25 y.o.  Greater risk, higher premiums; isn't that how all insurance works??  They certainly won't let me pay the premium of a 25 y.o. on health insurance; irrespective.of whether or not I'm in better health.......

Since the funds are earmarked to pay for medical costs for foreigners does that mean that retirees will no longer be required to buy overpriced and undervalued health insurance?

    asking for a friend!

Only if they deem us as permanent tourists and not change the goal posts so that extensions make us permanent residents with none of the perks.

The garbage will attract rats and the rats will then attract snakes.

what closes the cycle, problem solved LMAO

With rats and snakes breeding exponentially; introduce an alpha predator such as us, and it'll be a nicely rounded out closed environment in no time.

I much prefer my rats to come from an orchard though.
