The bottom line is Thai drivers really "Do NOT" care about road safety and care of others on the roads and that includes Taxis, Buss's, Cars and pick-up drivers not in that order.
What the Thai Government should be steering towards is proper vehicle driver training! And getting strong on those who constantly abuse???????????? I read they are only handing out a small fine and 3 points for drunk drivers where it should be an automatic 90 day ban and 50,000 baht fine and ordered to re-sit driving test!!!????????

It's ok before not too long Thailand will not have any complaints against foreign visitors because it will not have many coming! Because Thailand in heading quickly into economic recession!

Apart from The TM30 which is total nonsence you as a forginer to have 800k on a Thai Bank exactly 2 months before and 3 months after application. Still have not fogired out what the 800k if for!!!

The bottom line is greed and totally unrealistic in these bad economic times, and Thai Baht against foreign currencies!
The government do not care as Thailand moves quickly into recession which it may never really recover from. I was in Rayong a few weeks ago and i was the only foringer on a totally empty beach! Very sad to see Thailand like this.

You only require 800k in a Thai Bank exactly 2 months prior to the application and 3 months after the application where you can reduce thee sum held in the Thai Bank to 400k.
I have still to figure out what the sum is required for in the first place.
I do not know of any who can prove a pension income of 65k baht per month!

I have been working for over 40 years and a British foreigner staying in Thailand. I personally do NOT have access to 65,000 bhat and have NI payments over 35 years! Who are these people that have a pension income of 65k++

This is a very sad event for Thailand and for sure 100% is NOT an isolated case!
For some odd reason many Thai drivers get behind the wheel and get pocessed by the "Road Demon" Really it should be automatic that you move over for all emergency services! PERIOD
Alas in Thailand this NOT the case
The government really needs to do something about very serious events like this with HEAVY Fines and 90 day driving bans for those who do NOT comply (including Taxis)

I agree 100% with the Thai government ban! Thailand should NOT be ruled by the USA. I'm 100#% sure "Monsanto" is behind this and is a company which is NOT open and transparent and just lies about the products sprayed onto our food. Again i agree 100% with this ban!

I stopped there and woke up!
What Thailand should fear is if overseas tourest just stop coming to Thailand and foreign investors just see Thailand too risky to invest in! Anything is possible in these dire economic times!

Well i checked around and found cost excessive at 65! 7k to 22k USD/year.
To that end i cannot afford the cost! Anyway just have to plan and leave my Thai wife.
I'm convinced the "Thai Government" will take good care of her like i have been doing for the past 11 years!

Not a real issue. I went to knong kai and crossed over into Laos and paid 25 US for 30 day lao visa

I really cannot see a single benifit of this visa and the cost outweighs any advantage over other types of visas in Thailand

You can do a 90 day online easy just use internet explorer and same with TM30. Bottom line dot the "i" and cross the "T" and comply. However i have a Cat "O" one year retirement visa. Actualy the immigration have a help line number and last time i talked to them they were helpful and extreamely pleasent????????????

Not as far as o am aware and in fact my son and his friend were given one year visa's each because we acted as their sponsors. No issues whatsoever

Not a hope in hell! Just forget the stuff and move on. The bottom line and your mistake is you should NEVER have trusted! <deleted> my X Scottish wife who i was married too for 24 years got the lot and i am British. House, Car, 2 bedroom flat etc...I survived

As long as its legal money and you name who its going too and what exactly it is for . I cannot see any issues!
