  4. NO!! Absolute <deleted>. God does not excist. Its just a fairy tale imho.

I was born and raised catholic...but since 25 years or so I am completely Atheist. I even refuse to enter Churches..temples or whatsoever religeous buildings.

All this religeous humbug has caused the world much suffering...pain... and deaths.

If I see the treath that Islam and some other extreme religeous fanatics are making towards the world nowadays its just frightening. They truly want us back in the stone age.

In Europe you can eat a decent meal for under 10 euro = 340 baht. You'll get much food, much meat, fresh vegy, condiments, good seat/table, police around the corner, clean/safe streets/traffic and so on....And after dinner you can have a free safe walk through the nice cities with perfect sidewalks and mannered drivers.

MM Mind you the safe walk could end up very violent nowadays in larger German cities. We have knife attacks daily. NOT funny. Much does not even get into the news...but we all know what is happening. Most of those attacks (i would say 90%) is being performed by Merkels guests from the MIddel East or North-Afrika.

If i see how fe Brazilian,Polish,Chinese or Russian Police handle crime...I can only applaud them:-)

Under 10 euros..?? a decent meal??? I live in a border region (D/NL/B) and mind you in Belgium and in The Netherlands you can NOT get a decent meal UNDER 20 euros..in a restaurant..!!(I am not talking snackbar or something like that) In germany yes...but Germany is still an exception in this.

Exactly how many FOREIGN BUSINESS AND INVESTMENTS are in Thailand.

How many people do they employ? How much of Thailands GDP is export based on products like cars that those FOREIGN businesses manufacture here and ship to Australia and co?

    Exactly!

Not much I think...I honestly think Thai people do NOT like foreigners at all!!!!

    my 2 cents.

Westerners (from Europe at least) don't need the shoppingmalls at all because Europe is sooo much better for shopping..

I don't understand ANY person who prefers Thailand above Europe unless they love to be in a chaotic filthy mess.

Europe is soo far ahead of Thailand and even cheaper these days....why would anybody go Thai at all?

Agreed....prices in fe thai supermarkets are pretty high...!! A package of margarine butter of 500 gr cost 114 Bath?? Realy??? Such item here cost max 1 euro...I am sure in germany (and also in The Netherlands) prices for most products are much lower!! I said that before here.

besides that I think we have in Europe (at least Germany) much better customer protection and quality.

I predict..Cambodia will be the next "Thailand"..!!

    take care...and good night.

  8. I lived in LA for many years...am fluent in Spanish. Lived in Paraguay,Argentina and also Colombia. I can tell you that most prices are way way more in South-America. Also level of service tends to be LOWER then Asia..!! I also have been to Panama,DR,Peru,Brasil and Uruguay.

If you want to have a easy country to live in go Argentina...after 2 years of residence you are able to get an Argentine passport!!!!!!!! Compare that to Thailand!!!!! NO WAY you could do that in Asia.

The ladies??? well thats very very different from SE Asia....imho. Very difefernt indeed. Outside...and inside. Its just another world.

Speaking spanish is a must...if going to Brasil Portugese offcourse. However...latin people tend to be much more violent..then Asians!!!! Tell you that.

If have questions..feel free to ask. I will try to answer.

    suerte

You get 60 days with each entry, which you can extend by 30 days at an immigration office. So effectively you need to leave every 3 months. If your last entry is just before the expiration of the METV (visa) then you get another 60 days (+30) anyway. So in reality you could stay for 8-9 months with two trips abroad meanwhile. Probably the best option and easier than getting a retirement visa.

As for your girlfriend, I'm not sure if METV is available in the Philippines, but SETV (Single Entry) visas probably are. It'll give her 60 days (+extend 30 more) so effectively the same schedule as you - but she will have to re-apply for a new SETV after each visit.

I don't know too much about housing in Pattaya, but I am sure you could either arrange a 6 months contract, or take a 12 months contract and leave early - you will just lose your deposit.

I do not understand..I am German (have 2 passports..also from the Netherlands because my mom was Dutch) and when I enter Thailand i only get 30 days...??

I also have that problem..my GF is NOT Thai...she is Chinese (mainland)..and its realy a hassle for her to stay in Thailand..so actualy we want to change the country were we can both live longterm. She has NO intrest in living permanently in Europe and I have NO intrest in moving to China. Right now we meet in Thailand (we met before in China) and then we go investigate if Cambodia (Shianoukville) is an option. For her it would be easy as many Chinese are there. I personaly also think Malaysia or Vietnam could be an option.

The thing with Thailand is...I realy like the food etc etc etc..but i do not want to live there...neither my GF. She only has business to attend to untill end of next year...then she is free to go. She is activ in real estate and organising tours for chinese tourists.

She wants to marry me in Denmark..or in Hong Kong...but I am not realy keen on marrying her..right yet. I need to sort this out ..I was married twice before...We are only 3 years apart in age, but she looks way younger..:-)

    Take care all.

    Hans.

  10. In most Supermarkets in germany fe 500 ML lokal brewed beer cost 29 eurocent..!! yes thats correct..good quality. Offcourse brands like Warsteiner,Becks or other A brands cost more, up to 79 eurocents for 500 ml can. So I agree that thai beer is kind of expensive. My GF told me in Hua Hin cost about 40 bath a can of beer..! thats more then 1 euro!!
