But as we all know each Imm office has its own rules and what can be done in one place cannot in another .

Precisely Mr Keith101, the Imm office is a powerful entity by itself, it fears nobody neither does it answers to anyone, so Tourism ministry knows it is useless to complain.

Why are these people choosing Thailand for convention or big conference ? There are other countries much better and suitable for such purposes.

Thailand is not cheap anymore. It used to be cheap so the impression still lingers on.

  2. Ok, Kon kean Jeff, lets' just be fair. You need your sleep at night right? So it's a good thing to get friendly with the dog. Just feed it and it becomes more or less your pet, you should accomplished this in 3 days. Then put a muzzle on the dog and keep it in a cage hidden behind your house where no one can see it. Make sure the muzzle on between meal times otherwise someone may hear it barks.

Feed it and make sure it doesn't die. Go on face book and have it adopt by someone in another Changwat far away from you.

I have my passport but my bankbook is in the house

If there is a lot of money in the bank then you must quickly go to the bank declare you lost the bankbook and have a new one made. Is it a joint account? To withdraw your missus and you both must sign ? If not then you are safe.

  4. From my experience people whom I helped just simply forgot about me when their problems were over.

I, of course regret helping at all. From being soft heart with empathy I evolved into a couldn't care less man.

When I found out a syndicate control the beggars on street corners I stop giving a setang to the beggars . I don't believe in feeding the fxxxing idiots who control the beggars.

The amount you mentioned is huge. Are you willing to loose that amount if anything goes wrong?

Being kind and helpful is good, being finally made to look like a bloody fool is not what you want.

In some cases I know the Thais in the first place didn't have an intention to cheat when they more or less beg for help. But when the problem was over they came to realize they don't really have to repay the loan, after all farangs don't kill people or even threaten anyone. A change of heart shall we say, and you lose all your money.

  5. Not real. It's glue on, I had my index and middle finger nails glue on for me to play my classical guitar. If you are used to using your finger nails in classical guitar when your nail is broken you find it difficult to play or you don't like the tone.

Consumerism make  fool of all these young people. They become slaves.

When brain transplant becomes possible in future, brains in thailand are the most expensive to acquire because the previous owners hardly used them at all, brand new. The label says, "Brand new, hardly used, very little thinking done"

And it's lovely and cool at the minute without having to have the air con on or the fan on full.

I'm currently back in the uk, living on trifle, pork pies and english sausages  - the veg can wait until i get back to thailand next month.

I came back last autumn . I guarantee you'll be so happy when the trees start to change in a month or so and your lungs fill with those damp leaves

Hello Mr Coleman, "the veg can wait until i get back to thailand next month",  may not be a good idea i must say. You need all the veg you can get.

Why? Because about 3 months ago I ate a lot of beef and beef fats as well as pork, guess what happened? I started to pass blood in my stool and also external piles(not big one i was lucky).

The blood in stool was quite bad, every bowel evacuation there was blood. Very distressing and worried. Worried it would turn to Colon cancer.

Started fasting and also bought probiotic from pharmacy, nothing seem to work.

When I started eating my own home-made Kimchi it helps tremendously. The fermented Kimchi has lots of flora that heals the colon. The high vitamin C also help. I ate Kimchi for the first week and it started to show results, less blood. After about 12 days the tiny piles were gone. Now, almost no blood. Still see little stains of blood traces.

Gone off meat for quite a while. Now only eat very little meat. Avoiding red meat like plague.

Take care don't over eat meat. I did and learned a lesson.

Three years ago I wanted to marry in Thailand. Everything o.k. but thefamily wanted a last check. An old monk, a venerated "future teller" had to check me. I agreed.

The old monk looked to me and sat down for meditation. His cat jumped inside his meditation seat. We had to wait a long time. Then the cat closed the meditation by jumping outside.

The old monk gave information to the family of my bride: Nothing to scare, he is not good for money and business, but very good for "nature".

Later, the cat jumped to my bride claiming some sweetheart for the good job.

Now we have two cats for happiness.

Just couldn't figure out what you are saying. Do you know how to skin a cat?

For the same reason why thai pay 20 baht and foreigners pay 200

How much do you make in an hour? How much the Thai makes in an hour?

If a Thai pay 200 baht he will starve or his family will starve too. Do you want to see that? Please 200 baht is nothing to you. You should pay 280 baht, the 80 for prayut chan ocha, because he so graciously allow you to stay in Thailand that's why.

Thailand belongs to the Thais so they make the rules. I can't be wrong.

  9. I gather in the future sea fish will be so expensive that only the rich could afford to eat them. With the pollution non stop, farm fish(farm in sea water) are seen as safe to eat , at least they don't eat plastic if sea water in clean area free from plastic is pumped into the tank and filter before being pumped into tanks.

I visited a sea water fish farm in Malaysia in port Dickson about 70 km from the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.  They dug big holes near the sea and lined them with thick plastic so water don't drain into the sand. Then they pump sea water into these ponds.

Dory fish from Vietnam is cat fish that's for sure. I have seen a documentary and it's horrible. You will see them inject hormones into the fish. And the pellets they fed to the fish are dried chicken feces mixed with rice husks then made into little pellets. So it cannot be healthy.

When I sent an e-mail to the company of Dory fish(from the address of the package) asking if they fed those fish with pellets made from chicken feces, the reply I guess was drafted by the company's lawyer. Because the reply was evasive they didn't say yes but it did sound like a positive answer. So they try to avoid any legal implication. Only lawyers with minds bend on cheating and lying can write a letter like that.

I avoid Dory fish as well as Fish Fingers or any fish that I don't see the head and tail. Any Mcfish burgers or anything like that don't interest me at all.

The big corporations are trying to kill you slowly, because if you died too early they couldn't get enough money from you. I am also beginning to believe this "De-population theory" put up by someone I can't remember his name.

Only true insofar as Thai Immigration is unaware. Here are two reasons under Section 12 of the Immigration Act where Immigration is supposed to deny entry:

Note that Thai Immigration will generally be unaware of crimes committed outside Thailand, even if they have your fingerprints. The Thai authorities probably can access some information via Interpol, but only a tiny fraction of the committed crimes end up in Interpol's database (typically as a result of international arrest warrants).

Good info you have BritTim. There are robbers or criminals in Thailand who often become friends of the police and these dirty people are walking around town having a good time because these robbers have help policemen who have financial problem.

Foreign countries also welcome them to live there, e.g. Dubai is the home of a famous fugitive of Thailand . And his sister is even made a citizen of Serbia. Isn't it a Wonderful  world? just like Louis Armstrong singing, "I see them bloom for me and you and I said to myself what a wonderful world".

  11. Many years ago I met some Hong Kong people in England. I met them in Alysbury a small town in the countryside.

These Hong Kong people were telling me how quiet England was. They didn't quite like the quietness because It seem boring to them.

They are used to people waking up early in the morning and started making lot of noise.

Noise don't really bother Asians ( except Japanese) .

You just got to wonder. They want tourists to come to the country and spend money and stimulate the local economy, but they don't want you to come too often. Like what's the issue? All we do is spend-spend-spend. We take taxis, buses, trains, planes....we pay. We eat/drink...we pay...We stay in hotels/apartments/rooms/houses...we pay....We go see movies, go shopping, go to clubs, have a massage, get a gal for the night....we pay, pay, pay.

Yes, you are right. I just don't understand how they think. Even if you stay for years on end you still pay for everything it's not free is it?

May be it's because they couldn't get any corruption money from you?

I can't think of any other reason.

If I put lots of money in an envelope and discretely pass it to them would that solve my visa problem? The money is passed by myself personally not using a runner.  Anyone knows? I mean lots of money. How much? Say 1,000 US. Someone out there must know the answer.
