  1. I am planning to go to Savannakhet for a 1 year Non O ME based on Marriage to my Thai wife. I tried to book a room for a few nights using Expedia. Everything is booked. I usually stay at Pilgrims Inn. Any daily room recommendations close to Thai Consulate? Please let me know. Thanks

  3. Hello everyone , I am getting ready to visit a buddy in Pattaya . My 30 day tourist extension is up on the 31st of March. Am I allowed to go to immigration on Friday the 24th to get my additional 60 day based on marriage, or do I need to wait until Monday March 27th to get that sorted? I would like to go Friday , and then head to Pattaya on Sunday if that's possible. Have a great day! Billyburi
  4. Hello everyone. Im gonna do an in and out tomorrow AM at the Surin/Cambodia border. Is one photo enough, or do I need at least 2 photos? Anything else I will need as well , Please share. Have a great day.
  5. LEO BEER seems to hit the spot. fairly priced , and it tends to get me buzzed at around 3 or 4 , 490 ml cans. I prefer cans vs bottled beer in LOS as with sun and heat exposure any bottled beer in Thailand tends to get skunked too easily. Place the cans in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Case closed.
  6. I don’t own any type of transportation currently. I have never owned a car in my 16 years here, but have owned a 650cc Ninja , and a bunch of different scooters over that time frame as well. These days I walk everywhere for the exercise. I can only say that you need to have eyes in the back of your head and always walk against traffic , or it’s only a matter of time before someone will run you over from behind. Whenever I am out in the zebra crossings I am always extra alert as they tend to speed up wether it’s a motorbike , or car when they see you crossing. They cannot wait those extra 3 seconds for you to cross. So a pedestrians life has less than 3 seconds value vs showing any signs of driving with some sort of caution, let alone any responsibility for their actions….just plain sad. RIP Miss. I have a daughter and her Father must be heartbroken.
  7. I had 2 different flat screens I had purchased brand new at different electronic shops in Pattaya 10 years back. Both were Samsung brand. A little after one year both of those TV’s went blue screen on me. Right after 1 year warranty both times. I will never buy a Samsung flat screen again. I would venture to guess the heat and humidity have a negative effect on all electronics in this part of the world.
