  1. Forgive me, how does crushing exhaust pipes see them implementing their policy of: 'We shall banish all street racers from Thailand'? Surely one can street race without modified exhausts, or even with no exhaust at all....
  2. 2000kms is a long way, for me, anyway. Perhaps not for a Canadian. It does smack of some element of planning though. And it does seem that Manitoba is around northwest of Ottawa. Having said that, I think he was lucky to have just been arrested....
  3. Is no one here a little confused over the headline? 'Man arrested over toppling of statue English slave trader' Perhaps better English would have been: Man arrested over toppling of statue of English slave trader, Man arrested over statue of English slave trader toppling. Man arrested over toppling of English slave trader statue.
  4. A tweet, 3 years after the alleged behaviour...? What happened at the time? The director was empowered to this alleged behaviour allegedly by the producers. The tweeter could do nothing at the time? Say nothing? No union representatives? I A podcast hosts says the alleged behaviour goes back to Buffy and Angel days. Nothing done or said then? Sounds like another Epstein, perhaps not of the sexual nature though. Everyone knew, no one did anything. Or perhaps it never happened. We will never know for sure. Or will we? Tune in next week...
  5. The association of mask wearing to numbers of sick people is unproven. I saw Anutin himself without a mask on several occasions, he did not get sick, therefore not wearing a mask does not make you prone to sickness. See my point? Anutin does not require an apology from anyone on this forum. He was not appointed, nor was he likely to have been elected by anyone on this forum. Perhaps he was right, perhaps there was a better way of expressing what he expressed. But, the impression he gave was not positive to foreigners. He'll be gone sooner or later, but the impression a senior cabinet member of this government gave will linger.
  6. Football clubs are like airlines. See Alan Sugar's comments on owning Spurs...
  7. It was the tree in the road, notifying traffic of a broken down vehicle ahead...They used the whole tree, as the breakdown was a long way down the road... they tree them here, they tree them there, there's Eucalyptus everywhere
  8. Gain experience, how? No L plates here, no accompanied by a licences driver here. Drive around empty school yards? Not after next week, too many kids to knock over.
  9. 68 is considered elderly by the article's writer? What's 80 then? Dinosaur? What age does 'elderly' start at? Hacked off by a cheap shot. Age has little to do with driving skills, perhaps reaction times will be longer than if he were 28.times if he was told by passengers that he was falling asleep and failed to heed them, that's criminal.
  10. Pays for the new army trucks. This must be the private donor....
  11. Kids are not bigotted when born. They learn this trait. The handwringing and soul searching that goes on now, with only actors of the same race or skin colour, being able to voice a character in a cartoon... Soon only dogs will be dogs, cats will be cats etc...
  12. The vans are as safe as houses, as the expression goes. It's the crazy assed drivers. They should be repossessed. Oh, perhaps that's what the problem was. They were possessed.....
  13. Perhaps the EOD was a tourist EOD that got drunk and found itself up a tree. Woke up and bounced on the ground. Tourist police involvement.
  14. Sorry, what's a high end tourist? if it's not defined, it cannot be catered for.d Backpackers, package tours, resort stayers, all known items. High end tourists? Have a gander at tbis: https://austchamthailandadvance.com/2018/06/28/june-2018-how-to-create-a-high-end-tourist-market/
  15. A 3rd one issued...? Was what he used to do before relevant to the story? No. He is a sub-division official, he was a navy warrant officer. He is a wanted man, he was not wanted before. See the difference?
  16. Catch the shoes of the dude on the far left....
  17. With respect, her problem, not yours. This appears to be now she accumulated all these assets. She keeps a million a month in her handbag.... if she makes a million a month, and she has not enough cash to buy the place and cannot get a loan, pull out from the deal.
  18. Perhaps schools and educational establishments should review their uniform policy for a while, until this has all blown over....
  19. Never be a guarantor. It's another way to get shafted, especially by family.
  20. A subsidy for exporters. Why export then? Cane the locals again for someone else's problem. If there is no profit in exporting, sell them locally cheaper. Outrageous.
  21. Perhaps Bigstar is stir crazy... A lot of older people around where I live can neither read nor write and do not have smart phones. They do not shop in places where this app is being used. A lot of them don't know about the app. They shop locally or from motorbike vendors. Rice is from fields farmed by them and their families. Chicken is rare and only served when someone quick enough to catch one can be found. Fish is from the rice fields after the rainy season has finished. Truth can be a double edged sword too. Thailand has been told it has had no domestic infections for 32 days now. Complacency and apathy are not words that should be used here. People are being told no infections for a month, therefore they are safe. No in has got it, so why all the hoohaa? 50% - 60% of Thais around where I live wear no masks. In the village now, no one wears masks. The monks wear no masks when asking for alms. It's as if nothing happened. enough of my ramblings...
