  1. What you're asking about is Non-Bi (investment) visa. It's issued by a Thai company inviting you to the country to look for investment opportunities as you intend to do. Usually SunBelt offers such services - they send you a letter and supporting documents that you need to bring to Thai embassy in your country or wherever you're allowed to. You'll be given 3 months visa in most cases.

Some law companies can send you documents for as little as 150 USD.

It had some sence when several countries issued 1 year visas on basis of such documents, but it's difficult right now as I heard.

You can search for business opportunities even having tourist visa or border stamp.

  2. :PMaybe, I should search for a foreign doctor that doesn't think that 6 hours after water breaks is too dangerous for a child?

I found the natural birth specialist, but even she tells me stories about how good C-section is, which is very amazing to hear.

I don't want a doctor to panic around about nothing and tell me awful things when I'm going to be in a labour.

And I certainly don't like what I read here, on ThaiVisa "it was wonderful hospital and doctor and nurses... bla... who gave my wife C-section."

What else, btw, they tend to say? About water breaks and 6 hours is being the limit for Thai doctors, I understood. Anything else to not believe?

  3. I don't like Veg.Society that much, too. Food is not that tasty and has a lot of garlic. The same about Heaven something on Thapae road, though people rave about it.

I didn't know about buffet in TianZi. Almost 2 times more than for Kun Churn's buffet. Do they add garlic in their dishes? Kun Churn does, 50|50, so I still can eat something.

  4. cozumelito, I believe he is remarkable. Due to the rain, I couldn't come at 5, so I had to wait 2,5 hours yesterday before I saw the doctor. He seems to be very professional and to know his subject :) At least, the explanation was very detailed. He explained why the pain occurs, what to do to reduce and prevent it. Medicine + stretching technique + some ointment. Not cheap, but I guess, worth it. Thanks to everybody for recommending Dr.Suthee.

  5. Oh, thank you for removing offtopic comments (I didn't see them because I didn't get any email notification) and thanks to everybody for useful advices. I used this term only because I don't know the good one in English. I will certainly use Dr.Suthee services. Will try to go there today.

  6. I need to find such a specialist, not sure how to name him/her in English. Leg problem, it hurts very often, but the doctor in McCormich just did radiografia, said nothing broken. But it's not the only reason for pain... Maybe you know a good doctor and can recommend? Would be very much appreciated.

  7. I found this topic last week and managed to find Hean Kha Jao off Keaw Nawarat Road. It's actually located on soi 3/3. It was really nice evening. The guys told me it's not a Kantoke, because they don't bring you dishes on kantoke small round tables, and you have choice of high or low big standart table. But Khun Kantoke has exactly the same according to their website's gallery.

So, Hean Ka Jao has a menu with dishes 60-120 baht, sometimes up to 200. Drinks - non-alchohol - 30-40 baht. Show consists of 13 numbers with beautiful female dancers that looked to be pleased to perform, not bored to death like in Old Cultural Center. Show lasts for 1hour and half, starts at 8 pm.

You cannot even compare prices of this place and standart kantoke places. We had plenty of food, lots of drinks and still didn't get even close to the money we would spend in Old Cultural Center.

Also, they have a small museum on 2nd floor, you can look around it after the show.

About the food: it was good. The dishes for 60 baht are small, but you cannot blame them. We ordered vegetarian dishes as well, and guys were very careful in taking the order and asking for full details, offered us interesting dishes with meat and seafood substitutes, very good choice.

  8. Depends on the age. I see many families coming to Imm Eco on Bumrungrad road. The minimum depth is 60cm there. There are sun lounges, towels to use, table tennis... 100 baht per person. They also have a guard on duty. The pool is nice and quite big.

I also have been in The Real Center of Universe, it's a nice one, too. It's quite shallow on both ends, but not less than one meter. Also have sun loungers and towels for RENT, fees vary, but most of time is 200 baht per person. The good thing about this one is that it has Salt water, not chlorine. It's really soft and nice.

And many kids love 700 years sports complex swimming pool as it's big and have things to jump from... on different levels of height. I don't know their pricing.

  9. Yes, it really is better type for using in curry pastes due to its' stronger aroma and more interesting flavour. I prefer kaffir lime over usual one which is too plain if compare. Try kaffir one if you have a chance.

  10. I use full fat milk, not sure about the brand. As a starter, I use Dutch (or Dutchie) yogurt, sweet one. I put 1 yogurt (120ml) for 2 litres of milk, so you cannot say that yogurt produced is sweet. As a cloth for a cheese, I believe you can use one that sold for steaming purposes.

  11. I have a black male cat (around 6 months old) living in my garden. I'm willing to give it him a very good owner.

    black_cat2.JPG

He's not totally black, have 2 white spots, below the neck and on the belly.

The cat is healthy and doing good because I take care of him. I can afford this, but I cannot take him home, as I already have 2, and it's enough for me. Besides, one of my cats is almost identical to this third by her look and behaviour.

By the way, behaviour is really nice. They murr, they like to be pet, and very nice and tender creatures, that are supposed to be very good with kids (no fighting or scratching).
