  1. Arabs or Martians, it makes no difference. It is unacceptable act by individuals regardless of their nationalities. Calling all Arabs names is unfair and serves no purpose other than creating a divide. Arabs come from many different countries, and most are good and law abiding people.
  2. Agents can help when a person is unfamiliar with the process and requirements. I'm not against agents, but the possibility of falling prey to fake agents and ending up in all sorts of problems, I suggest you either consult a certified law firm, look for recommended and trusted agents, or simply do the work yourself which is simple and straightforward, and will cost you much less.
  3. The advice is not meant as a revealing tool to know if your partner is faithful, it's meant not to give motive as a security measure. Would you rather take the risk? I agree with you when it comes to selecting the right girl, but I failed to know how, and where to find one, if they ever exist.
  4. Regardless of your good intention and facts, I think such statement be kept away from public as many people might interpret it differently. ????
  5. I certainly verify this statement as I have noticed it personally. When I had my old split air-conditioning unit, my average monthly bill was about THB 4,000. This was recorded as an average for a period of 2 years. Once I replaced it with a new "Carrier" that is even bigger in capacity and fitted with inverter, I was shocked to see my monthly bill hardly goes over THB 2,000. It has been almost a year since I replaced it. Definitely worth it. By the way, I live in Bangkok, just in case.
  6. I share your concern as my case is almost the same as yours. Been here since 8th December 2019 and haven't seen my family or grandchildren since. I was also planning to travel sometime next month but now, I think I must wait for a clear picture.
  7. I am not an expert on this, but I came across such problems and I remember some people mentioning that one of the following solutions worked for them. Please make sure before you attempt any as I take no responsibility if anything happens; 1- Press and hold the power button for not less than 10 seconds and see if it works. If it doesn't, then, 2- repeatedly press and release the power button multiple times and see if it works. or as a last attempt. disconnect the battery to reset the unit. This requires you to to get into the inside of the unit to be able to disconnect the battery and reconnect after a minute or so. I believe it is a common problem that is triggered by updating the software. I hope this helps
  8. If the problem is in one particular location whereas other locations are not affected, I suggest that you conduct a full check on your wiring and components at the affected location to identify the cause which could be anything from loose connections to harmonics build-up. It is better to identify, fix, and treat the cause, rather than deal with the damage it creates.
  9. What could be the motive for her alleged killer? Was it for fun or what?
  10. Guess what, shortly after my last reply, I received an email telling me my appointment was on 27 July and that I would receive a confirmation SMS in my mobile the day before, which I did. It was at Bangsue Grand station in Bangkok, On 27 July, I headed to the location which was packed, but staff were very efficient and I managed to get my first AstraZeneca jab and walk out in 90 minutes. My schedule for the second shot is in mid October. By the way, I asked the staff who was registering my details if it's open for expatriates to walk in if they are from other provinces, and he said they can. I didn't verify his answer though, but vaccines are going fast.
  11. I was at Bangsue Grand Station for my appointment which was at 4:00pm. Took a taxi from Bang kapi at 3:00pm and traffic was jam was increasing as we got closer. Arrived at 4:15pm. Although my appointment SMS instructed me to head to Gate 2, I couldn't even figure out my orientation. There were were few people managing the traffic, so I asked one of them and he pointed the way in a polite way. The place was packed of people and multiple queues, side by side and not knowing where it starts, or which one to join. But I have noticed many staff were working so hard to organize and at the same time offer directions to visitors, without loosing their minds (really good job). Finally, managed to get to the right queue to proceed. Everyone working at Bangsue Vax Centre deserves applause for their efficiency and making the process as easy as it can be for visitors from start to end, despite the difficulties. This is how I saw it in person as a foreigner. It took me about 1 hour and 30 minutes from arrival to walking out. This includes the 30 min observation after the vaccination.
  12. Appreciate your encouragement Jingthing, I am registered with it from the first time it came out, and registered again after claims that it got busted. In fact, i was registered with the site that was before it, in all cases, I could not manage to get a date. What's strange was at one point, the site offered only two Hospitals in Bangkok. I succeeded in registering with Samitivej Hospital where they sent me emails requesting additional details and a copy of my passport, which I did. A couple of days back, I contacted them to ask of any update, and they answered me saying no updates available. I don't mind if I get it or not, what I mind is being denied the freedom to live normal because I am not vaccinated.
  13. You are one of the lucky ones. I am over 60, living in Bangkok with Hypertension, Diabetes type 2, and Cardiac patient with a stint. I have been chasing all possible sources that offer the vaccine in Thailand and in my own country since last year. I have registered in a number of Hospitals, health clinics and lately, the Ministry of Public Health, and until this minute, I don't have any booking date, nor any confirmation. On contacting the places I booked to check, the answer is the same "there is no update and we will contact you when there is". I said it before, I give up. On top of all of this, one of my diabetes medications is out of stock in the entire country and details of a substitute is hard to get.
  14. Is it legal for Condo Management to charge tenants 10% of the monthly water and other services bill value, if payment is made late by few days? I am not after any legal action, just need to know.
