  1. Hey, after talking to some brokers I'm following this advice. They want an insane amount of money. Amazon rep told me that they will contact UPS and try to get them to return it and that I should check my tracking by Wednesday to see if it's changed. UPS was trying to tell me that I can't have it shipped back to Amazon without an NBTC license. It's all a grift to get more money, so sad.
  2. You also dealt with NBTC for an Xbox?? Or do you just mean Thai customs in general?
  3. Yeah so apparently phones bought in EU have a different model number than USA phones. My s24 ultra model number starts with F instead of SM, so they want me to get ripped off by a broker for 22k baht in order to get my item (about half the cost of the phone), NBTC is a scam.
  4. s24 ultra so yes it's in TH. I gave them the model number in the email and they told me that the model number is not on the NTBC list.... so I would need a license or something like this.... lol
  5. Had amazon gift cards and had no problem ordering stuff from amazon to thailand before
  6. Hey bill, thanks for the info, could you elaborate a bit on your situation? You had a Thai call the Thai UPS for you, on one of their phone numbers here -https://www.ups.com/th/th/support/contact-us.page is this correct? So I suppose you emailed UPS that you wanna go with option 2? How much was the value of the 3 phones and how much did you have to pay for this roughly?
  7. Waiting is no problem. What do you suggest, option #1 Where I do it myself or option #2 where I get a broker? What is cheaper? I can go to DMK customs office in a few days but I do not know what I need. Keep in mind I do not know what I'm doing when it comes to this, I can show them my passport and my order on amazon but I don't know about any BS like NBTC licenses or any other kind of licenses. I thought it'd be a simple delivery like my previous amazon orders where it just gets delivered to my condo with no problem.
  8. I've ordered stuff from Amazon with no issues from Customs because Amazon always took care of the customs issues. I ordered a new phone from Amazon and I got this email from UPS. I obviously have no idea what I'm doing so I guess I should go with option #2 which is hiring a broker to do this for me. Any recommendations on companies I should use to help me get my phone? If it matters at all, I have a flight at DMK in a few days anyways so going to the customs office there is no issue if for some reason I need to go there. I attached a pic of the email I received from UPS.
  9. Thanks, clearly that guy who mentioned legends was trolling because theres no 4tb 990 pro in their shop. I have an MSI ge76 and i already bought 990 pro off amazon.com
  10. Lol where do u find this legends shop? I went on shopee and i went to shop and typed 'legends' but there's obviously a ton of different shops with the name legends in the name. give me the exact shop username
  11. Yea i ordered the 4tb 990 pro + a m.2 usb enclosure as I've seen that is what you need in order to clone from the old ssd to the new ssd. It's like $64 import fee that got added, and I used the normal shipping, it says estimated November 7 delivery, and I ordered on Oct 25. So, you're saying Amazon charged $17 for the import fee, and then refunded the whole $17, meaning you paid $0 for import? How long did it take for them to refund you?
  12. Wow thats great, I am on checkout screen on Amazon screen for 990 Pro 4TB, it's 13.8k THB total with priority shipping to my Bangkok condo. It's shipped by Amazon.com not a random seller, on the checkout screen it says: Sold by: Amazon Export Sales LLC The import fees deposit on checkout screen is $64. Does this mean it basically covers all the customs costs and will refund me some of the money if the customs price is less than $64?
  13. Do you have any idea about my Newegg question? I assume it'd be a hassle to receive items from them, but wondering if u or anyone else knows
  14. Thanks for the solution, they are overpriced af lol, it's about 10.8k baht($300) on Amazon.com - if anyone has a link to a better priced than the invadeit link, I'd appreciate that! On a side note, I also saw that Newegg delivers to Thailand, but its about the same price as the invadeit link but Newegg ships from outside of Thailand I'm pretty sure, I'm not gonna order with Newegg but I'm just curious for future reference, how does Newegg orders work? Do Newegg deliver it right to your address in Thailand or do you have to deal with someone from customs calling you? I'm not sure how that process works as I've never ordered anything from outside of TH
  15. I want to upgrade my 2TB SSD in my laptop to a 4TB. I mainly am looking for a Samsung 990 Pro 4TB. I see all over places like Lazada, IT City, etc. for 1 and 2 TB versions but it seems borderline impossible to find any 4TB m.2 SSD's in Thailand. I would also accept a WD SN850X 4tb if that's available and the Samsung one isn't. Does anyone know if it's even possible to find 4TB SSD's in Thailand? I am in Bangkok if it matters
  16. Can u link it here or dm me it? I saw some Chiang Mai site selling it, but its 8900 baht for 1mg, that's way overpriced when it can be got for $20-30 in US (with medical insurance)
  17. Thank u very much. So if I go ahead with this, I'd inform them to ship pens in a normal envelope to my Thai address, and it'd go in my mailbox inside my condo building, like when I receive the electric and water bills? I've never received snail mail before while in Thailand thats why I'm asking. Would it be advisable for them to include a piece of paper with writing inside the envelope? Or just the pens only? How many pens maximum would you think is safe to send? Someone earlier said 2, but I'm wondering if like 5 would be ok?
  18. I'll do snail mail then if I decide on having them ship to me, because its way too overpriced here. Can you answer the questions on my previous post that I asked him, regarding the shipping time and which shipping service to use? Is it like 2 weeks shipping from USA to bangkok, or like 1 month? Use USPS or is there something better?
  19. Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea roughly how long it takes snail mail from USA to a condo in Bangkok? And also, how much it is, and the best service to use, I assume USPS?
  20. I'm not sure what the rules are regarding shipping medical supplies like Ozempic. My family uses Ozempic pens to help with weight loss and they get it for very cheap. In Thailand, the best I've seen so far online is 1mg pen for $257, while my family get it for like $20-30 in US. So... is shipping Ozempic pens from US to my condo in Bangkok legal, or no?
  21. Joe helped me anytime I had a question, very sorry that he's gone and we no longer have him. I don't think anyone can fill his shoes on this website. Rest in peace, Joe
  22. Thanks, I'm used to the US where you cant spend money in the savings account, and to use a debit card, it takes money out of your checking account. Do you have an idea of what account I should get at bkk bank? https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Save-And-Invest/Save I noticed that the one I was looking at - "basic banking account" requires you to be 65+ ? I am 27 and going to be studying Thai here on ED visa, so not working. Which account of the 7 accounts on this page do you think I should get? The Thai school is going to provide me with documents helping to get an account open fyi.
  23. Thanks, what is your account type at Bangkok Bank? I'm looking at the "basic bank account" https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Save-And-Invest/Save/Basic-Banking-Account Not sure what is the best account option for me. I want no fees, and just a debit card. I don't care about saving accounts
