  1. Plenty of times. Never a problem. Once I shaved my legs the tights would slip off easily.
  2. Smiley Lewis - I Hear you Knocking (1955) Dave Edmunds' cover. (1970) My first single and my introduction to the world of Blues.
  3. So they're making a surprise visit on Friday? Hope nobody informs Takky as it will ruin the surprise.
  4. Actually the Thais did start building a wall to run along the Thai-Malay border about 30 years ago. Never completed and only a short stretch was built and possibly still remains.
  5. The above vid reminded me of an under-rated musician by the name of Harry Chapin. Six-String Orchestra - Harry Chapin What Made America Famous? - Harry Chapin (1974)
  6. If trying to learn the guitar to play this song do not, under any circumstances buy Ralph MacTell's book.
  7. Are you a professional a55hole or just a gifted amateur?
  8. Isn't CW the base of operations for Big Jok? Not so long ago he was caught in a media maelstrom and then all of a sudden, nothing. Maybe he's back to pen pushing. I did a 90 day report on Tues. 14th. Usually there would be agents hanging around the main doors but I didn't see any of them at all. I got there at 1pm and the number being served was A127. Mine was A289 and I got seen at a few minutes to 3pm.
  9. Also from the tv series 'Resident Alien'. Avi Kaplan - Get Down. Not sure where I heard this one but I think it was from 'Damnation' tv series. Avi Kaplan - Change on the Rise.
  10. Then led me to a Rock-a-Billy tune called 'Adam's Rib'. And then this one. And no, it's not CCR. 'Ask Around' by The Roues Brothers. Fancy some Cajun music? Titled track from 'Undaunted' by The Roues Brothers.
  11. Came across this track on the tv series 'Resident Alien'. The Roues Brothers - Hawaiian Blue. Which then led me to 'Let's Go Find Johnny'. A song about Mississippi Fred McDowell.
  12. Big Nothing (2006) I already had this downloaded and had seen it twice already a while back. I was surprised when I came across this on youtube and just watched it again. Still funny. Haven't ever seen a bad Simon Pegg movie yet. Full Movie.
  13. Never been a huge fan of Leonard Cohen but after watching and thoroughly enjoying the documentary 'Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, a journey, a song.', I've now added this song file to the half dozen other songs of his that I like.
  14. Well, nothing is held together with two lengths of bamboo and a pakama, so that rules out it being Thai-made.
  15. I remember riding against the traffic on a main road in BKK and getting stopped by a traffic cop. He didn't fine me but pointed to other riders nearby and told me that I should be riding on the sidewalk.
  16. Have to agree about Yala. The Deep South, for me, has the best roads for m/c cruising and I found the motorists are a little better behaved. I found the communist tunnels just outside of Songkhla more pleasant to crawl through. Narathiwat. Wat Khuat (bottle temple) is worth a look. Made out of beer and tonic drink bottles along with sea shells. (Sisaket has something similar called Wat Lan Khuat, or 'Temple of a Million Bottles') I only have 1 province to check off my 'Provinces to Visit' list. And that's Trat. I'm in no hurry to go there but I'm still looking for a nice feather to place in my cap for when the time should come.
  17. He did some good live stuff with Ry Cooder at Eel River and also himself with his daughter Roseanne and Cooder and his son Joachim at the Vienna Opera House. A medley of tunes from the Cooder-Lindley family.
  18. “Indeed, talent like this can’t be restrained! What a vivid imagination! This kid’s really good, and mosquito coils are cheap, let your child enjoy playing with it!” Great! Now perhaps let your child cut out shapes from asbestos sheeting using a grinder.
  19. Robbie Robertson stepping in to help out when Clapton's guitar strap unfastens. R.I.P. RR.
  20. New Riders of the Purple Sage - I Heard You Been Layin' My Old Lady. 'You Should've Seen Me Running' from another fine album.
  21. The underrated Roy Rogers, producer of John Lee Hooker's grammy award winning album 'The Healer'. 'Baby Please Don't Go' And a much younger Roy Rogers with one of many great blues tunes from his tutorial video. 'Look Over Yonder's Wall'
  22. I doubt CW is open 24/7 so the 7-11 there will be closed for 12 hours(?) each day. Meanwhile the aircon and refridgeraters must be permanently on running up the overheads.
