  1. Why do you say these crazy things if you don't want people to quote you?
  2. Mr BS once said he came to Thailand "to slowly drink myself to death in the sun." Now he is upset that people are encouraging him to complete his mission.
  3. Australia must not have much news it they cover a concert interruption in Toledo Ohio.
  4. Thanks for the answer. I have a US debit card but no longer have a US credit card and was hoping this might be a way to get one. I may have to become a US resident again to be able to get a US credit card again. It is just the additional fraud protection with the credit card and I would also like to reestablish a US credit score. I think not having a credit score may cause problems if I wanted to return to the states.
  5. Did you open this while in Thailand either online or at the Citibank in Bangkok? I see on the Citibank site that there is access to US based credit cards. Do you have a credit card through this account?
  6. What would you be willing to pay per month for this type of service? I don't think I would want to pay what it would take for the bank to be able to make a profit.
  7. Thanks for the reply. Do you have any idea on what will be required when dealing with the Thai RD. Will I need to provide my US tax returns and balances of my US accounts as of the end of 2023? I have only transferred money from my saving into Thailand but have no idea what they will accept as proof of that. I hope that the Thai RD also sees ""received" is equivalent to "earned"" and not that received is equivalent to distributed. I assume if I do have to pay Thai taxes I can claim them back on my US returns?
  8. @Jingthing said "OMG. Wait a second. I thought anything earned before January 1 2024 is exempt? So for example a typical IRA say 300k usd. So you withdrawal 12k. Isn't that all very old money so exempt in Thailand?" Sorry Mike I am a bit confused by your answer but I am confused by all this tax stuff. I thought the only US Pensions that were exempt are Social Security and Government Service Pensions. The US treats IRA and 401K distributions as normal earned income at the time of distribution so I thought this would be taxable in Thailand. Is it in the Thai tax law or the Thailand-US treaty where I am missing the IRA/401K exemption? Thanks for any clarification you can provide.
  9. Come on Mr BS, we all know you deeply love Thais and Thailand. If you didn't you would leave and go somewhere you were happier.
  10. Like I say immigration did not staple it in my passport the times I did it myself. Funny immigration has never said anything to me about it not being in my passport in all the times I have dealt with them. I have handed my passport to immigration 4 times in the past year and not a word. The last page of my passport has the receipt from my 90 day report. It may just be that a copy of my TM30 is always included in the stack of papers I hand over each time I deal with immigration so they don't care that is not in my passport. I will trust that you and @IvorBiggun2 are correct and I have just been lucky. I will staple my current TM30 in my passport.
  11. Some men have a superiority complex. They think they are god's gift to women so it is ok to mistreat women. I don't think this is unique to farangs but it is easier to point your finger at others then look at yourself.
  12. I don't think you are required to have a TM30 in your passport. I have never had a hotel put one in my passport and the times I have been to immigration myself to get a TM30 they did not staple it into my passport like they do with the 90 day report. Maybe I have been breaking the law and didn't know it.
  13. @TPDH did you get your 90 day report done and did they tell you why it was rejected by the online system?
