  1. I own a debt free condo in Bangkok and am looking to borrow money against it. Local banks are not interested to give me a loan as I am a freelancer so my income fluctuates month to month. Does anyone know of any other options?
  2. Looking to buy covid insurance for 30 days to comply with Thailand Pass. I believe a minimum cover of $20,000 USD is required. AXA seem pretty expensive at almost 4,000 thb for 30 days. Has anyone found a better deal elsewhere?
  3. My family and I are going overseas for a month or so leaving Bangkok end of April this month. My wife and two kids have a Thai passport, I have a UK passport. When returning back to Thailand one of the requirements is to have covid insurance minimum $20,000. My first question is: 1. I seem to remember that the minimum $20,000 covid insurance definitely applies to foreigners (me) but do my wife and kids (who have Thai nationality) also need to have this insurance? Second question is: 2. It says on various websites that "your covid insurance must be valid for the entire length of stay". I live in Bangkok permanently so does this mean I have to get covid insurance indefinitely?
  4. I have just received my new UK passport. I now need to transfer the visa stamps in my old passport to my new one. I have the form that immigration gave me in order to do so. Does anyone know if this process is straightforward once you get to immigration? Any idea how long this process takes at immigration?
  5. I am planning on going to the UK for a couple of months end of this month. I have been triple covid vaccinated. On the Thai Embassy website https://www.thaiembassy.com/travel-to-thailand/thailand-travel-restrictions it says that for "Test & Go" I need to "book a SHA+ Hotel for Day 1 while waiting for the result of the RT PCR COVID test; must possess a COVID-19 Insurance." I have no problem with this. My question is "Do I also have to apply for Thailand Pass?" On the website it says this..... Applying for Thailand Pass Everyone planning to come to Thailand should know that having a valid Thailand Pass is mandatory during the COVID pandemic. The Thailand Pass is a web-based system designed to support Thailand’s “Ease of Travel” system and to make the documentation process of the travelers entering Thailand simpler and more efficient. You may visit the MFA website https://tp.consular.go.th/ and apply for the Thailand Pass directly. It is advised to submit/register your Thailand Pass application at least 5 to 7 days before your scheduled departure. You cannot enter Thailand until you have received your Thailand Pass, so make sure you start the application process well in advance. The application for the Thailand Pass is free of charge, however, you may also retain a service provider who would assist you with your Thailand Pass application.
