  1. Don't worry about that. Any mention of DCC should be ignored and let the card do the f/x transaction. It's very easy but also easy to get ripped off if you press the wrong button.
  2. I think you've already answered your own question and good luck in your search, OP. Strange thread, by the way.
  3. This is the fantasy land that elected officials frequent. Entirely untrustworthy and same old for Thailand.

    Grab tips

That wouldn't buy more than a slurp of Est.
  5. Like I stated in a previous post, there's no outright British restaurants in BKK, although I'm happy to stand corrected. You really need to look at the middle ground and there's plenty of British dishes on the menu.
  6. Agreed. There doesn't seem to be any outright British restaurants in BKK but the Western-style outlets do provide what's required, when we read between the lines. The international hotels also provide a decent representation of Western food, at a price, of course.
  7. We're getting old when we can remember Albert Tatlock. He was on a good gig. Didn't really act or anything, just ordered a drink in Rovers and mumbled something or other. I suppose that's why I remember him.
  8. No Idea! But, before you write me off, my wife and I previously patronised a restaurant named No Idea on Soi Sukhumvit 22 and very it good it was. Appears that the lease has expired (according to website) and the owners expecting to relocate and reopen in August 2023 and definitely one worth considering. No Idea
  9. I made no mention of a cheap key.
  10. Cool, but still a lot of faffing about.
  11. Yes, it's not by magic.
  12. Surely just download the ISO from Tinternet.
  13. Seems like a lot of faffing around.
  14. I attended secondary school in the early 80s and as soon as any teacher turned on the VHS player, I switched off. No matter the content, I wouldn't have noticed in the slightest. I merely filled the void by dreaming about girls.
  15. Let's make up, but we're now up to 251. ????
  16. Please accept my profuse apologies for the circa 250 sad emojis littered about your posts this past week, but it wasn't stalking. I just don't like your point of view. ????
  17. I suppose the common denominator is is that they all have wheels. ???? Anyway, what is the question?

    Grab tips

I'm trying to understand your point and have been reasonable. I think it's best we don't communicate any longer as life's too short. Take care.

    Grab tips

I don't settle cash as I've got my UK credit card attached to Grab. Are you okay my friend?

    Grab tips

Well, yes, I'm sure a wage is a consideration for the drivers. Slightly confused what your point is, though.

    Grab tips

Both interesting points as both posters obviously reside in LoS. My Thai wife agrees with you (and not me, as I'm probably too generous but I base my calculations on my UK expectations). If I lived here, then would probably calm my tipping down a notch or two so ignore my visitor approach, as required.

    Grab tips

I'm not stupid and nothing wrong with tipping. The UK reference was obvious as I made a comparison on the relative price of UK/Thai taxi fares. Let me repeat, an aggregate twenty minute Grab journey (circa £5.50 including tips) in the UK would get me to the end of the road. It's not hard to understand.
