  1. In many years of using have never been asked to pay more than listed on Lazada shipments. Ali Express is a different platform. There have been special FTA rules for China and others however and bulk payment systems, but this may be subject to change as government has directed that everything must be subject to 7% tax (elephant pants protest) reaction.
  2. I have two of the same model you have - both read about the same - and both about 50 or more lower at home rather than when in hospital. Just take with you to hospital to check - White Coat can be extreme for some of us. Covid isolation/fears has made it worse IMHO.
  3. As said it is probably best to arrange plan now to be sure you get what you want (low price). Wife is likely to be pressed to spend more and be made to feel she is not providing a proper send off for her loved one if she has to take care of arrangements after your death. Embassies do have lists available for those providing such service and you have several recommendations already for a service that others have used and had good experience with.
  4. That is welcome news - my last report was rejected with no reason so hope there is a silver lining at some point and might explain CW telling user to fill 15 days early next time. It used to be notice was sent before they even accepted form so had to wait.
  5. For anyone using CW.Bangkok it sure does. Your next due date will be 90 days from approval date.
  6. Quakes and typhoons are normally not an issue in the Duma area and you have both the sea and elevations easily available. Duma has a number of expats due to low costs and good living conditions with easy travel but there is room to avoid if that is your desire. But also good shopping and medical facilities when wanted or needed. Even with issues of truck smoke PI has enough natural air flow to keep things clean in most areas. But no hurry to make a final decision on final resting place as you can move your things and easily move elsewhere later if you change your mind, for find someone to change our mind.
  7. It that valid to a US post office box? That seems to be the issue for many as only official government mail service seems to be accepted as final path.
  8. I do not remember the name exactly but it had tracking and cost was about 580 baht for about 30 A4 insurance pages.
  9. We were advised in March that EMS will not send to US PO box address anymore due to non delivery/late delivery issues (as of sometime last year). Alternative was a Thailand Post option (almost as expensive). But expect IRS has heavy workload currently and that all will be OK with time.
  10. Actually they (and most things) can be much lower price without OEM front plate and fully understand the quality might be a bit less - but for my use want odor removal which requires short lift carbon type filters and these fit my needs at a reasonable cost and work very well for home use. If I was running an operating room would have more concern with 99.5 or 99.9 type figures but for use in home these are secondary to having full time breathable air. Howard Hughes - I am not.
  11. Should not be any issue - you are just adding a new payee account - but if using for immigration extensions make sure foreign origin of money will not become an issue for you.
  12. Believe starts that way and some prefer to do it that way but believe some still get longer time if they request. At any rate still seems to be a simple procedure.
  13. It is a month or two at first and 3 or 6 months at a time I believe - up to a total of 3 years. Believe it for any tourist visa entry but have not checked if for Thai. You or agent will have to visit immigration each time but simple fill out form/pay and go. So if on island without immigration perhaps agent would be useful.
  14. Have seen much longer times mentioned (perhaps because of no idea how - but as you say also up to the speed of the court).
  15. Actually not when it is in your name only. Thailand does not provide pay on death and will have to go through normal court process from my understanding.
  16. Just a caution that money must be in account at required level for required time each year. You say 800k in account which would be for retirement extension requirement but that you will be extending for 400k marriage. Be sure you have the 400k in account for 2 months before next application for extension of stay (moving funds can be an issue at times - you are aware that for marriage you only require the 400k in bank for about 3 months each year)?
  17. Unless you are asking to get a retirement visa (some good deals on such for special groups) there is no need for any visa agent. You can stay for 3 years just extending original entry before you have to leave for 24 hours and start again. Nobody is going to tax anything - but until you get ID card will have to use bank ATM or money transfer service for funds (first few months) as card required to open bank account. In any case your location will be a major factor on any recommendations.
  18. Normal recommendation is about every six months (cleaned on wall - only outer case removed - power wash with detergent). And they normally need this cleaning and you will notice colder air. Only costs about 600 baht from most stores and about an hours work for both units. Take a look at the water coming down from wall unit if is any doubt of the need for cleaning.
  19. You might want to check your tax payment requirements in Thailand if using "income" to support your stay. Thailand has said they will be making tax claims on such money starting in 2024.
  20. If from USA that is the method used - 65k per month documented to come from overseas for income method. As for Embassy/Consulate they are not immigration so could accept something else for visa issue - but suspect this is just an oversight as the 65k per month is only required for about 3 countries - all others immigration will accept Embassy letter of income. If you can not meet the income requirement the 800k in bank account only needs 2 or 3 months before one year extension can be provided. The requirement for extensions is show of bank passbook plus one year of bank statements - suspect Embassy would be the same - if they accept.
  21. Facebook? My phone number appears as (+66)xxxxxxxxxx on LAZADA.
  22. If you have Google account just use that for log in - have been doing that for the many months without issues.
  23. I seriously doubt that signature would be accepted as it was the previous system and is no longer accepted by Immigration. The current income proof is 12 months of 65k or above each month to a Thai bank account in your name only. If you can use the 800k method you could convert tourist visa or visa exempt entry to one 90 day non O and extend for one year.
  24. Actually CAT and TOT merged 3 years ago to become NT.
  25. That may well be the issue - as suspect most do not install more than basic taps.
