  1. Lol so a private company holds monopoly over essentially (near) all water supply on an island, while not even having water enough. This is so cliche Thai. So if the same company was a government company, charging the same rates, instead of focusing on profits, they could invest it in fixing this. The entire issue is where all the endless massive streams of money end up with, Thailand could have most tourist cities look like Singapore already with all they earned on tourism and the like, if the money arrived in the right hands and corruption was eliminated. O wait, wasn't that what they said to do in 2014?
  2. Not sure the first picture of the OP is his actual bathroom, if it is, do something about those tiles.... for the love of god. At least put something original in terms of tiles there, while on it, put a rain shower in it as well
  3. This is like the third phase ignorance (first being a tourist, second being a newbie expat and third being this stage). Anyway, P4P is with any girl sooner or later, if not, you should be worried what is going on or you have a very very rare exception. It also only counts in that case if you were together 2-3 years or longer. Aside from that, what is actually new on what you are saying, there is single girls anywhere, most of them might smile and joke with you, just because they are bored and get commissions on purchases aside from having a good look on performance. Few are actually interested in actually dating a farang, most even have bf/husband/kids. Just because they still look relatively young, smile at you and give a good chat or service, doesn't mean that a Thai girl is into you, let alone wants to date of fk you. This is some really delusional stuff that many foreigners here seem to believe, even after years of living here, if they only understood Thai, they would know within minutes.
  4. Yeah they refuse you for sure. How are these questions even real, of course you can do that. There is ten thousands of foreigners in Thailand who live here by doing visa runs constantly, that didn't change or something. How you think most live in the south. This website and forum is just so extremely toxic if it comes to visa's, that it seems to give any member anxiety issues with immigration lol.
  5. If she has double passports she can simply buy with the foreign passport under foreign quota, logical. I don't believe this with not being able to buy as a Thai from a condo with foreigner quota too, my friends here sold their condo's plenty of times to a Thai, while they had the foreigner quota. I could believe you might 'lose the foreigner quota' once buying it as a Thai, but it should not be impossible to buy the unit itself in general.
  6. You are missing something if you didn't understand this before Thaksin already hehe. Thais are all the same, if you would tell you stole 20 people their retirement funds and destroyed their entire family, a few years back in the west, but you now changed and went to a temple for 2 weeks, they will love you, and you being rich. Some would deny to like this or be the same, upon asking them, until it actually happens in their real life + they also benefit from it. This is the real Thai culture: you simply don't mention it and take the money. Don't think too much, sabzi sabzi.
  7. I thought they just returned and had fallen sick due to covid / pollution, the pollution is like just as bad now as the last time he was here too. Populism at its best.
  8. Deadly accidents like this happen all the time on Phangan too, it rarely makes the news. I can see it by seeing the posts of some monks on their social media pages only. I think at least a few per month. Sometimes they are murder, sometimes they are not, sometimes nobody knows. What often seems the case, similar to any other islands, if there are some young naive western girls who are way too drunk, dressed up sexy, and start chatting with a few local guys, these local guys will absolutely hate any western backpacker, who now eyes that girl too.

    Hotel Bangkok

How does that make a super B gym important, training can be done in the <deleted>tiest gyms
  10. For some reason there is rarely follow ups here in Thailand, which is strange as it generates boat loads of readers and that is how they make money.
  11. No it's called luck, and it is when a guy starts to say ''must be something about me'' when they are about to attack lol.
  12. The latest nuclear bunker Iran has build apparently takes like dozens of warplanes with the most heavy bombs, full loads, to then maybe reach the depth of the bunker. Israel is not capable of doing that, they would need USA for that. Smart politics though, give Iran some billions knowing they will use it outside the agreement, then trigger a war that makes trillions for the industry.
  13. Sounds like a good timing, then the USA can pretend that it is not a good time to do elections.
  14. Russians made a huge sacrifice to make Europe free again, but then the allied forces pretended all the honor was to them, the Russians weren't even invited on the party after. Is funny how they barely write about it in history too, at least I got told little/zero about the Russian contribution as a European kid in school.
  15. Since when are specific businesses usually reserved for Thais only. It's like they now make up the rules as they go, that the jobs are for Thais only has nothing to do with the legal ability of a foreigner to be a shareholder in that company. As far I know, as long a Thai would agree with you as a partnership/deal, even they consider that now a nominee, is perfectly legal too, as long taxes etc are being paid. So not sure what they are even talking about at this point. Illegal activities are a different thing but that has nothing to do with a foreigner in general, working with a Thai (only way), owning a business here. Or are they secretly telling us that now business is less good, they want to make it illegal for us foreigners, even if working with Thais, or being married, to not do any hospitality/tourism business too.
  16. Learned the hard way and that is that I can't do it worse than 99% of them, even better. So I just taught myself online how do all of it, tools are cheap to buy here anyway. Funny thing is, until I did, I didn't get why I or others always want a 'handyman' while what needs to happen in reality is very easy to do. Maybe our brains just go auto-pilot and always think to find someone doing it, same with AC, it was not cooling anymore. Cleaned it myself in like 30 minutes for 2 units, runs like brand new again, and the local guy, after calling 10 of them, wanted like 1000-1500 baht for this job. Must say I am now jealous to not be Thai, one could make boatloads of money by just offering these services properly / nationwide / easy website or booking system etc. Even doing this properly in whatever town, I am sure it is not hard to bring home around 50K a month.
  17. Is very rare to come by, you would almost need to start digging on eBay or amazon abroad to find the actual body of a laptop. Isn't exactly a common replacement part, you could still turn it into like a normal PC too though, using something else or some creativity so certainly worth keeping.
  18. Pause it, why not just terminate it permanently, it is nonsense in the first place and by air you don't get it too.
  19. Likely but I think the guy had a heatstroke actually, as the story originates that he suddenly was a Debbie downer and then decided to swim. Likely the booze boosted his ego to show off how good he is to swim the entire reservoir and that killed him.
  20. They are clearly kind of the worst if it comes to technical stuff, I mean just think back a while when the site was down for days, to do a simple migration lol, that should be with no downtime at all, max 5-10 minutes, for a DNS change with TTL on 5 minutes.
  21. Yeah I suspected he was doing a Thaksin on this already, that is the only logical conclusion, if that likely means you will be set free. Otherwise I would accept to die here yes, certainly at the age of 80, and knowing I would be on the run since '97s and did horrible things.
  22. One wonders why he decided to fly back, as I'm pretty sure he would be aware of his arrest to happen most likely. Ran out of money I guess + too old to work? Even then, you would think one would commit suicide here instead of going to jail the rest of life. As he left in like late 90's I am not surprised at all that he managed to leave, or use another ones passport. This is even before 9/11, there was barely any checks on anything, nobody used fingerprints yet etc etc. To be honest, if you look like someone a lot, they never been to Thailand before, I think there is a high chance it still works today too.
