  2. Hi all my friend in SiSaKet had been doing his yearly non o visa extensions(retirement) at the office in SiSaKet for some years without the cash in the bank. Found out today that it can't be done there anymore. Been advised to go to Pattaya. Does anybody know of a reliable agent that can help him out there?
  3. The letter should come from your embassy and notarized. Only a few embassies will provide said letter

  8. I will be coming to Thailand with a 60 day tourist visa and want to change to a non-o after 45 days. What is the process to complete this? Do I have to leave the country or can this be done at any immigration office. Will an income letter from the embassy in bangkok suffice as proof of retirement funds?
  9. I have just completed a border bounce to Cambodia and back with a 30 day entry stamp. Is it possible to get a 30 day extension near the end of this one at an immigration office in thailand?
  10. As a Canadian you are able to get a notarized letter from the embassy in Bangkok confirming a pension income of 65,000 baht. No need to season money in the bank.
  11. I am fortunate that the Canadian embassy still issues income letters. That should suffice I hope.

  15. I have an O-A visa that had to be used by December of 2022. I came into the country January of 2022 and was stamped until December 13 as per my valid insurance policy. I left in June for 4 months came back in October and was stamped again until December 13 as per the expiration of my insurance. I purchased another policy that is good until December 13th 2023 and did a border bounce to Malaysia and was stamped back into Thailand until the 26th of October 2023. I left again in February 2023 and have just re-entered thailand only to be given a 45 day stamp as the original o-a visa has expired. Even thought I was valid until Oct 26 2023. Am I to understand that I am unable to leave the country and return using this visa after the use by date but I could stay until October 26 2023 as per the stamp from malaysia
  16. Does anyone have experience doing a border bounce to Padang Besar, Malaysia? Thinking about taking the train from Surat Thani to the Malaysian border and walking across.
  17. I have come back to Thailand after a few months away under my OA multiple entry visa which is valid until December 28th. Upon entry at Bangkok I was stamped good until December 13th due to the expiration of my medical insurance. I have extended my policy for another year. My question is , if I do a border run and re-enter before December 13th will I get stamped for a year upon entry?
  18. I have just re-entered thailand on my multiple entry O-A visa. It is valid until Dec 13. I left Thailand for a few months and just arrived back today. They stamped it as valid until December 13. Should it not have been good until October of 2023? My required health insurance will expire around the December date. Will I be able to have it stamped valid until October of 2023 once I have renewed my health insurance?
  19. Might be better served if they did the checks on drivers before they are involved in an accident
  20. I am attempting to come back to Thailand on my O-A retirement visa through Phuket but I am running out of time awaiting the approval of my thai pass QR code so I think I my just cancel that and wait for the latest on the Samui sandbox version. However, as I have read it must be an international flight into the island with transiting through BKK not permitted. That will be very limiting to finding a flight, Singapore with Bankok air twice a week. I hope that changes. Any insight would be appreciated.
  21. I am lucky that the Canadian embassy will issue the income certificate. That seems like a good route to go
