Well, it´s March 12th in Thailand already. So if you have to present that App after landing, it should be available already, but I haven´t found any other App. Did you?
If my info is correct, you can get it on Google Play.

Can they check your passport for this info?
Yes, they can. But what about those on transit where you don't get your passport stamped?

"So, would you take your family of four to Thailand in the coming weeks, given the above scenario?"
NO.
I would cancel that trip if it is not necessary to go. Thailand will still here for a long long time to stay.

Some warning about ibuprofen. I was wondering why it was not common in Thailand vs paracetamol and found that it's dangerous when having dengue fever. Since dengue symptoms can be confused with a flu it makes sense to not use ibuprofen.
Spot on.

Thais and foreigners who came from these places will have to go through self-quarantine for 14 days at home or in a hotel room, where they have to report themselves to the authorities every day or officials will come to check on them," health ministry spokesman Rungrueng Kitphati told Reuters.
If the person needs to go to the police station or the police come to check, is it not endangering the police and others?

Once again, you have a plan, but what you are doing is not the "usual". Bring your plan to your Immigration office. If they don't like it then you can have a discussion about what will work. Be careful who you talk to. If the Immigration officer is not high up what you are told may not hold when you go to get your extension. Ultimately you need to ask yourself how important an extension is and what you are willing to pay for it and have a plan B if things go wrong.

Totally agreed, there is always a price, question is are you willing to pay.
Thanks

I can't tell from the OP article whether the self-quarantine rules by country are only meant to apply to Thais coming back from those countries, tourists arriving from those countries, or both?
If I read it correctly, it is meant for everyone coming from those named countries.
Thanks

What difference does it make flying Business Class, same airport, same aircraft same recirculated air !
The air inside an aircraft is much cleaner than the air outside, that's my knowledge.

I went with Atena. I lowered my plan now it is 35K but the cover is not so good. I have personal care package 600K per illness, 5K per night hospital. I was on the one million THB platinum plan. I almost switched to Pacific Cross but agent made the offer without adding deductible and I was down to my last day to be able to renew my Atena I heard Pacific Cross will raise your premium very fast if you actually use it, even the agents told me if you spend more then the premium in one year you may get slapped with a 25 percent increase. Be careful this is coming from the agent. I have been with Atena Thailand 17 years through its various name changes. Pacific Cross seemed to new to get any real reviews so added with the reason listed above I just stuck with Atena but yea I am a bit under insured but better then have my premium jacked up 25 percent if I actually use it. I am 52
Thanks for your input,
I agree with you that your coverage is a bit low, I will have a look at Atena.
Thanks
