  1. Only it keeps getting worse! Should be a big boom for the tourism sector. Most polluted city top ten year in and year out. Feild burning tours will be very popular.
  2. How did they manage that? The speed limit is less than 50 kph through that underpass and they still manage to have a pileup? Incredible, any slower and they will be going backwards.
  3. So what about all the massive celebrations for the 'New Year' that the rest of the world enjoys ? As I recall Thailand also enjoys massive celebrations over "New Years". Just saying.
  4. Possibly, but proof presented from embassy could be easily verified. Might end up getting kicked out of Thailand or jailed for fraud or counterfeiting official documents. It has happened before.
  5. Yes but you can't officially marry them without a <deleted>load of paperwork proving that you are not already married.
  6. Do their parents know they are using their motorbike without a helmet? It's all fun and games until someone gets their head smashed in.
  7. Getting worse by the day. Will most likely break all records this year. It broke 500 Aqi late March last year. Chiang Mai made most polluted city on the planet several times. Bangkok has been better last few days but that won't last long. Stay inside windows closed, invest in air purifiers and avoid outdoor activities. Don't plan a running event like they did last week in Hua Hin when smog levels were off the charts.
  8. Two or three months to go and it'll be safe to go outdoors again. Everything is under control.
  9. They will always find something to burn during the dry season, even if it's only the roadside garbage!
  10. In Thai culture that could be viewed as "loss of face" so must be very careful how you phrase it, however I'm sure someone would be happy to come along and help her burn once it's been collected.
