  1. I think there's an auxiliary office in Sri Racha, but as far as I know they don't process extensions. At least they couldn't do the Covid extensions. But I think their services are limited in general.
  2. It was at Jomtien. I was planning to change hotels on the 1st, so if I ask at this hotel to fill out the form, I guess the TM30 might show up wrong in the online immigration system on the 3rd, if another hotel has registered me. I guess I will extend at this hotel if they will fill out the form. Seems like having the paper form will make it easier. I had to request TM30s several times in prior years and most hotels had no idea what I was talking about.
  3. I arrived with visa exemption, and went to Chonburi immigration to attempt a 30-day extension yesterday, with less than two weeks left on the original 30 days The clerk said, "Queue is full. Come back on Nov 3 or 7." My last day for the exemption is the 8th, so I don't want to wait until the 7th... would like to do it before the 3rd. Anyone know why she'd give me such specific dates? Is it worth trying again on the 1st? Also, I didn't think a TM30 was needed for a 30-day extension, but she gave me what looks like a TM30 form, "Notification.... Residence". I'm staying in hotels. Do I need the hotel manager/owner to fill out this residence form? I had to ask hotels to print TM30s from the website in past years (during Covid), but not for a basic extension. Also, I didn't get a TM6 arrival card at the airport. I found a post here from a year ago saying those were suspended, so I guess they're still not required?
  4. But the immigration office didn't even check online to see if they submitted. Now the receptionist is saying the online system isn't working. I've tried contacting hotels before booking many times, in Bangkok and Chonburi, to ask if they can give me a copy of the TM30 and if they even file it. but they always say they don't know what a TM30 is. But then it turns out that they do file it... I remember the whole TM30 online system was down for a while. Did they ever get that working again?
  5. I think the hotel did submit my TM30 when I arrived. But immigration is insisting they fill out that homeowners form. And the manager said that form is not for hotels, which I believe is correct. The owner isn't here, it's a chain hotel with dozens of locations across Thailand. If I can get a screenshot and they won't accept that, I'll have to go to another province. Maybe the foreigners who go to the immigration office in KK these days don't stay in hotels, so maybe some of the younger the immigration officers don't know what to do. I mean, everyone else waiting at the office looked like they're from a neighboring country, so probalby here for work, not expats/tourists who stay in hotels.
  6. I'm trying to do a covid extension in KK. I checked into a hotel yesterday, and went to immigration today. Immigration is insisting I need the ID of the owner and the homeowner form. I called the hotel from immigration and an officer talked to them for about 10 minutes, but they didn't seem to come to an understanding. They told me to take a photo of the form and show it to the hotel. Back at the hotel, the manager says he can't provide that form, because it's for homeowners, not hotels. I have heard some places want a screenshot of the online form, but here they insist on this other form. The manager said he is going to try to figure out what to do... Any ideas?
  7. Is this a new requirement? I've done many Covide extensions and never been asked for a screenshot of the TM30
  8. I tried to register a while ago, but I couldn't, because I don't have a visa, and I don't see visa exempt or Covid extension as an option. Well, I guess I could just choose a random visa from the menu... but I try to avoid angering the authorities in Thailand. Has there been any discussion of people without visas registering?
  9. Are there any options for someone under 60 on a Covid extension to get vaccinated in Chonburi?
  10. Just go back to Jomtien immigration this week before you leave. Those "under consideration" dates are not firm, in my experience. I went two weeks early last month and they didn't mention the date. You'll probably need to drop off your passport and go back the next day to pick it up. Even if it's not busy, they give you a queue card and say "come back tomorrow" when doing the UC thing. Two trips, but it's all done at the front desk, so not a long wait.
