If you're not already due, wait a few days and you could find the rules change again so no visit is necesssary.
This is a bold statement, but if you have enough experience in TH, it is possible. After what I've read here so I'm not so sure. Had been waiting for the new announcement, hoping to get an easier solution. That was a handle .... in the toilet !!!!!
I received a letter from the German embassy and already wanted to go to the IMMI. Then I heard about the "new" regulation from the government. Postponed visit to the IMMI for now. I still have time until April 10th. What is the best way at the moment? I think I will wait until next week.- 2

Hi Detty I'm from Germany too. Try to write the German Embassy in Bangkok if you don't want to show up in person.

Here you can find what you need: https://twitter.com/GERinThailand?
Looks like they send it by email.
@ bestie --> Hi bestie, many tanks for the information. I am now more hopeful
because I sent the documents to the embassy yesterday. It was like an "inspiration" to try it.
But didn't have the clues from you yet. Now I have to wait ...

Thanks for the quick reply and important information. So I definitely need a letter from the embassy or consulate. In the meantime I have contacted the honorary consulate in Pattaya via email, described my situation and asked for a certificate to extend the visa. Now have to wait and see what happens. I hope the certificate comes soon.
For the rest, I come from Germany.Consulate issues certificate for Vias renewal, but you have to appear in person to receive the certificate. What an effort. It cannot be done by email or post. No chance !
What has to be done now ? -

You can get a 60 day extension of any non o 90 day entry based on visiting your thai wife/child. This is a standard extension, nothing to do with covid.
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, that's right, but that's not true for me, no wife, no child.

Do you have the letter from your embassy certifying that you have an emergency.
Your immigration official official does not even need the Memorandum. You apply for a 30-day extension of stay under clause 2.28 of Police Order 327-2557 (2014) with the embassy letter and and documents proving your necessity, which in your case are the information from your airline about the cancellation of your flight on 6 April and the re-booking for 25 April.

Who can help me. My current situation is as follows:
My stay ends on April 10th, 2020. My non-immigration visa "O" expired in mid-January. Got 90 days before. Flight was planned for April 6, 2020, but airline canceled the flight, rebooked for April 25, 2020. I was already looking forward to the memorandum of March 18. to get an extension. Visited immigration to Ubon Ratchathani today, but the memorandum was not known. I received the recommendation to do a border run to Laos and to return with a normal tourist entry confirmation (Visa on Arrival / Visa Exemption) for 30 days. In the meantime, all borders to Thailand are closed, which means that I could not enter Thailand after a border run. I understand the current situation like this.It must be possible without overstay until April 25th. to be able to stay? I look forward to an answer with maybe a solution. Thank you very much.

I have received the letter. Went pretty quickly. In the meantime I heard about the "new" government regulation regarding renewal. I put off my visit to Immi and wanted to wait for the result of the decision. The result is sobering, actually I expected something constructive. Well, that's our beloved paradise ........ !!!!!
I will wait a few more days until the beginning of next week to go to Immi. Lets see what happens .
Greetings from a frustrated man.
Otherwise everything is fine. ????????
