Just one question to be answered. What is the cause of the fracture. Normal X-ray can already show bone cancer. MRI or CT scan maybe. But maybe it got worse and spread to the brains.

With a 15 nights /16 day quarantine. And a mandatory negative Covid 19 test in home country. What in earth is the risk? Turn hotels in Bangkok into quarantine accommodations. Open up those Phuket ALQ hotels. And after quarantine let people travel freely. Problem solved. Numbers of tourists are limited due to quarantine. Not all tourist can stay for a long time. Have Thai people tested before entering. Because in SQ are the most infections found.

Maybe Transferwise is a better option. Can do direct debits, has a debit Visa card,  good valid money transfers and widely accepted for online shopping.

Ship in private container. Requires a list of the goods. When used goods value is almost zero. Tax calculated over value. So almost no Tax. Done it several times. Container to your doorstep on truck. Two hours loading yourself, driver is not helping. Container goes to harbour, on ship, comes into port, goes to shipping company, pay tax, and container will be delivered at your doorstep, unloading yourself. Driver helps for a tip. The only thing you have to do is to find a shipping company and to deliver the list of goods.

Phuket International Airport is ready to welcome foreigners arriving with the Special Tourist Visa (STV).

 

Minister of Transport Saksayam Chidchob went to the airport on Saturday to follow up on preparations to receive tourists and businessmen issued the STV. He also supervised the screening checkpoint and the examination process in Phuket Airport.

 

Saksayam had told Airports of Thailand (AOT) and relevant agencies to assess the readiness and potential enhancement plans of Phuket International Airport and five other airports: Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Chiang Mai, Mae Fah Luang – Chiang Rai International Airport, and Hat Yai, to accommodate STV visa holders, according to government policy.

 

At Phuket Airport, all systems are ready, especially the sample collection and Covid-19 testing.

 

When the first group of tourists arrives and the screening system works well, it is expected to lead to an increase in the rate of easing virus control measures. Phuket province and related agencies are required to make adequate arrangements in case of an increase of tourists, including the management of the airport premises, quarantine areas, tools and equipment.

 

The Phuket provincial office, the Harbour Department and the relevant departments have requested the government to consider ways to promote water tourism like yachting and cruise ships in Phuket to stimulate the local economy.

And when can retirement non immigrant O visa holders issued by a consulate come to Thailand? Most of them are condo owners and travel every winter for 3-6 months to their second home. They bring in money.

So first tourist visa, then booking trip and/or accommodation and ticket with thai travel agency, expensive Thai health insurance, pre arrival covid test, quarantine hotel and so on. Wow Thailand knows how to empty our pockets.

What about letting all people in with a valid O visa. Those who have apartments, money in the bank, those who spend money on golf courses, in restaurants, need taxis and tuktuks, go shopping, etc.  OA and OX can come in but O is still ignores, refused, etc.

The loophole are the visa agents putting 800.000 in a bank account for.1 day. Ask and pay bank for letter and go for visa. Agents paid a very high fee and poor retiree happy . And Thailand office the visa fee. Three people happy. Except the persons who are outside Thailand now and see their visa validation run out. FRAUDE? MISLEADING?

Then let us hope that besides the O-A and O-X visa holders also the O-retirement visa holders issued by consulates/immigration are granted entry into Thailand to check upon their properties, bank accounts and so on. Because the way I see it this difference is discrimination.
