  1. Do you have any prior history of being in Thailand before these 3 visa exempt entries? It could be a determining factor. And yes, you may get in trouble if you land in Bangkok or Phuket. I would do a border bounce if you still have some left for this year (can do 2 per year).
  2. I was surprised I could get it done as well haha. French citizen. Took just under 1 month to get the passport. It takes 3 months to do so in France... They give priority for people abroad, who obviously need passports in a timely manner. But, you need an appointment which you make online and has to be at least 3 weeks in advance. So, 2 months is about right in total.
  3. Spot on, that's exactly what happened. Was taken to another special desk and it took 5 minutes to process. Thank you everyone for your answers and help.
  4. Thank you all for your responses. As suggested, I will just go to the airport and they should be able to manage with both passports. I'll report when I'm back from my trip if there was any issues or not.
  5. Good advice, will definitely try to call the immigration office tomorrow morning.
  6. Hi guys, Here is my situation: I last arrived in Bangkok on visa exempt and had it extended for 30 days. In the meantime, I applied for a new passport (EU citizen) and managed to get it done here which I received last week. They canceled my old passport, gave it back to me along with my new passport. Question: Do I have to transfer the stamp at Bkk's immigration, or can I just go to the airport with both passports to exit the country? Thank you
  7. I never understood why so many times they would leave many blank pages and stamp many pages later. Happened to me many times and it confuses other IOs every time I come back. And yet these same confused IOs leave more blank pages and stamp at the back end...
  8. Good job by the grandfather. Shame on the other parents. I know poverty is real but letting the guy who raped/abused my child pay me off to get scot-free, impossible to imagine...
  9. TM30 is indeed needed. Thank you for leaving the details here, it sure will help others. ????
  10. Thailand is going to enter its low season soon, I don't see why not honestly. They still need a lot of tourists to recover from Covid. The longer they stay, the better it is.
  11. Honestly OP, I would consider your offer if extensions were not to be renewed every 90 days. With time, I'm traveling less and less outside Thailand and trips to Chaengwatthana stress me out even though with Elite it always goes smooth. Wish you to find the right buyer for your product.
  12. OK, tu as donc 45 jours actuellement. After your 45 days, you can extend (in Bangkok or somewhere else) for another 30 days. If you want to stay longer, you'll have to exit and come back to Thailand one more time.
  13. Oh, wonderful ???? Well, at least he had to pay that gruesome 10,000B fine! Hit them where it hurts!
  14. So, probably stole hundreds of millions of Baht and will get 4 months in jail? pretty sweet deal if you ask me.
  15. I went to do that visa exempt extension at Laksi recently. Arrived around 10am and it was quite fast. 50 minutes total I would say. The staff helping out with forms told me I definitely would need a TM30 considering I had multiple visas issued in different provinces in the past. I luckily had a screenshot of my TM30 made by my GF online. I went to the shop nearby to print it and make copies of my passport. I had to fill 3 forms in total which was short to do. Staff were all very nice and no questions were asked. The copy shop staff was really pleasant and helpful too.
  16. Waiiiit, hold on there! I get the story, of course it was the dumbest of ideas to let a driver transport a flower bouquet where this much cash is clearly visible. Anyway, more important... Her boyfriend graduated university and she wanted to surprise him with a 50K gift?! That's the story right there for me and one lucky guy if you ask me... ????????
  17. OP, I'm like you, I tend to stress over silly details. That's why I take care of what can be taken care of ASAP. I see that you are here based on retirement. Hence, I'm sure you'll be able to clear your schedule and make your way to immigration before your departure. Just for peace of mind as you said. Otherwise, go to the airport and get it done then. If you forget or can't do it for whatever reason, then blame yourself I guess.
  18. Let her do the 90 day report wherever it pleases her and stop complaining. It doesn't seem that you have been learning any Thai in the first 3 months and your visa is actually bogus. Just enjoy the fact that you can play the system. And do start with the : "I really wanted to learn Thai" stuff.
  19. You can get a 30 days extension every time you come back from a visa exempt entry.
  20. I think your post needs more details. Isn't the agent going to make the extension for you? (Should be the main point of using said agent). Can't you go to your agent's office to try and get your passport back? Are you on a visa exempt and trying to get an extra 30 days? Where are you based (and your agent)? All these details may help others to answer you as correctly as possible.
  21. The only few times I got stopped by BKK customs were when I was on my Elite visa. They probably thought I was rich and bought my GF brand new luxury bags or watches from abroad. I did not ????
  22. OP, I'll just share with you my experience. Like you, I got a volunteer visa in September 2020 when it sounded like a good idea (was not..). Anyway, after that, got some Covid extensions and finally switched to an ED visa. Went back to my home country for Christmas and I admit that I was quite anxious when I came back early January. I had planned around 60K cash in Thai Baht and a ticket to Cambodia on day 37 or something. Anyway, I was pleased that most counters were open and it took 3 minutes to get to an officer. I chose a counter with a lady that did sound friendly. She looked through my passport (almost 10 years of Asian and Thai visas) and asked me if I had my card (?). She was actually referring to my Elite card as I used to have that visa. I pointed out that it expired in 2019 and that I actually did not have a visa this time. She just said ok and said I was allowed 45 days this time then. She stamped me in and was very polite all the way. Took 3 minutes total. So, I was not asked proof of funds, hotel booking or a ticket out of the country. I was not asked about my previous visa history or what I am doing in Thailand once again. I may have gotten lucky, I may have had the right officer. But it didn't look as if immigration was really on the look for people to deny their entry. One last thing, I do speak Thai and the whole conversation was in Thai. May have helped my chances, may have not. Good luck, but don't stress too much!
  23. The customer probably paid through her phone app and added a 0 somewhere without realizing. The staff didn't realize either. Good on the restaurant for being honest, but the customer would have probably realized it later anyway.
  24. Like people who study to learn Thai and then then don't. a Thai classic
