  1. I have had a dissapointing experience with [name removed] who re-sell IPTV sevices for Myiptv in Phuket. [name removed] are very expensive charging 1600THB a month when most international and local competitors are changing a mere fraction of that. I had no problem with that until I found, to my dissapointment and expense,  that the price did not include customer support.

I first subscribed to [name removed] services nearly four years ago and had no problem with their service until very recently. A few weeks ago my TV programmes were freezing to the point where they were becoming unviewable. I approached [name removed] for assistance and got nothing from them other than to be  told to changed my ISP which at the time was not an option. After a short exchange of emails [name removed]'s replies became aggressive and insulting.

During the ensueing weeks my viewing enjoyment became ever more difficult with as much as 20-30 minutes of freezes during a 60 minute programme becoming the norm.

My research led me to the manufacturer of my STB who suggested that I do a factory reset of my box; which I did. However I, stupidly, neglected to make a note of essential settings relating to my connection. I emailed [name removed] for details of the settings but received just a short but incomplete procedure which, needless to say did not get me back online. A further email to the company ellicited no reply and a reminder  had the same outcome.

I have now terminated my account with the company.

I have brought this to the attention of the ThaiVisa readership to inform them, and to warn, that [name removed] is not a customer focused company nor is it a very helpful or friendly one.

On top of that it is extremely expensive.

    Caveat emptor

Why not grant PR to all long term residents after 3 trouble-free years in the Kingdom on Married, Retd or work extns & include a 'no drink driving' clause to ensure compliance by those that routinely do it here (we all know them) but wouldn't usually dare at home?

    Just my 2p ????

They would have to actively enforce existing laws first!

It seems to me that most of the people that do obey the laws are farangs!
