  1. So you are trying to say that no child ever plays with its granddad's toys or belongings therefore they must belong to the children?
  2. What he did was enforce the law. The corruption of slipping a few thousand baht to immigration to get around the rules for visas was one of the things he cracked down on. It seems many people think that police corruption should be stopped as long as it isn't police corruption that they find advantageous.
  3. Of course they have, this is a last ditch attempt to owst him or as least slur his name so he is dropped from running for chief of police. The methodology is not valid and they know it however they hope it delays his career sufficiently to be able to hide their misdemeanours.
  4. Cannot be published in the Royal Gazette if the method of dismissal is not according to modern procedure which it isnt
  5. He hasn't been dismissed from the force
  6. Ours went off last night for about 2 hours, first time this year. Last year we had no power outages whatsoever which was incredible. I think solar panels and batteries are my next big purchase
  7. They forget to say that the larger the room volume the more it will cost to cool. I have divided both our bedrooms Scandinavian style with glass wall dividers and a sliding door, so that one half holds the bed only and the other half holds the wardrobes etc. i.e. a dressing room and small sitting room. Therefore a much smaller volume to cool at night and during the day in the dressing/sitting room but still have the sensation of relative spaciousness. Each original bedroom was L6m x W3m x H3m. Our living room is huge and costs a fortune to cool during the day. Hence looking at getting solar panels for use during the day
  8. No big deal. It's standard practice if someone doesn't work there. He was initially transferred to the prime minister's office. It takes time to get action done via the convoluted bureaucracy the order to remove the was probably made weeks ago.
  9. A highly secretive organisation using it's requirements for secrecy to hide misdemeanours and abuse selected staff for the pleasure of senior staff. Sounds about right.
  10. I am a former registered nurse. I worked in the operating room in the UK. Basically there is no need to wear a mask in the OR so the male dominated theatre technicians stopped wearing them. Yet the female dominated Nursing staff insisted on keeping them. The reason being that even the plainest woman looks sexy when only her eyes are visible. My female colleagues paid great attention to using eye makeup which enhanced this feature
  11. Yes you will be penalised if you have not made your 90 day report at the correct time. You will be fined for each day you stayed beyond the date you were supposed to make your 90 day report ie. Until you leave
  12. I had a similar problem water main burst in the village all the water from my tank drained into the village system even though the stop cock was closed. Faulty stop cock which wasn't a apparent when the village water supply was at normal pressure
  13. 300 baht is peanuts tourists and potential tourists won't even notice it. This is a roundabout way of raising money for government coffers. That's fine if it goes into improving the infrastructure, but I seriously doubt it. It will probably be used to fund bonuses and pay rises for civil servants
  14. He's a troll winding you up. It's obvious to anyone with a brain cell that you were not being racist but merely pointing out the rarity of black african people in nordic countries, which is a fact.
