Yes, I have AIS 5G service on my new Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G phone.  You need a nearby 5G tower, a 5G-enabled phone, a 5G SIM card and a 5G monthly data plan for it to work.  I live two blocks away from AIS's only 5G tower in Hua Hin, but the signal and speed is excellent.

I even bought and set up the "Huawei 5G CPE Pro" device from AIS and use it for 5G wireless service for all the networked devices in my condo.  It's 6-8x faster than my 3BB DSL and only cost about 300 baht a month more.  I made a YouTube video explaining how everything works, but I got dinged here last time I tried to post a link to one of my videos.  PM me if you want the details.

You can rent a small box from MBE and be able to use a proper postal address, not just a PO Box number.  The staff there will sign for deliveries on your behalf.  I've used the company many times.

Thailand Post's main office in Bangkok used to offer a Post Restante service where you can collect your post.  They have an English-speaking line where you can check if it's still available...

    MBE sounds like a plan.

    Thank you

  3. Hi,

Just came to Thailand and forgot my bank book in my home country. I want to send it back to myself via DHL/UPS.

I dont have permanent address in Thailand.

Can I rent a PO Box in Bangkok or are there any other alternative to get a package?

    Thank you

you need to do these steps,

    (1)  Declaration Form
    (2) Copy of passport of the non-Thai national married to the Thai national / children of the Thai national
    (3)  Copy of spouse’s Thai passport / parent’s Thai passport
    (4) Proof of relationship with Thai nationals, such as a copy of marriage certificate or birth certificate.
    (5) A copy of valid health insurance covering all expenditures of medical treatment, including COVID-19 with the minimum coverage of 100,000 USD.

once approved, you can proceed to book ASQ hotel, but not before, so don't book any hotel just yet, or even flight ticket.

Any idea if there are hotels that will let me book first and I will pay with cash once I arrive?
