  1. I just connected with Nextfix on my fairly old TV and received a message that I would no longer be able to get Netflix on this device beginning next month.  You can read for yourself and see what applies Google :: "netflix no longer available on this device" .

  2. No, and I did submit twice.  The second time worked. But if you go to the website, Click on "Check the Status of your application" if that is your concern.  If it shows it there, you can click and download a copy.

Thanks. They look very nice indeed. I’m being quoted 24,000 baht with 24 follow-up treatments and ‘guaranteed’ for five years. They also do a two-year deal for 18,000 with 8 follow-ups. I’ve never had it done before so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I’m in Bangkok.

Sounds good to me.  BMW and Mercedes dealer have used my recommendation, so Honda may use someone outside to do it.  Nothing wrong with that. I would go for it.

  4. I haven't read all the pages. I will only say that a few years ago I accidentally let my account I usually use drop below the 800k mark in THAT account.  All I had to do was show I had another account at the same time with enough deposited to make up the difference. A statement and bank letter was needed for both accounts but it didn't matter that the full amount was not in the same account.

When going around in Thailand, let your wife check-in. Problem solved!

Not necessarily.  Based on my experience, some Hotels may fear being fined for not reporting and will still ask for passport even if wife is checking in.

So you stand outside in the sun looking at your car? Our car is light colored as its cooler inside when we drive in the heat and save on air conditioning costs. 99.9% of the time we are inside the car and cannot see much of the outside of it, otherwise we are somewhere else and not looking at it all.

No, I stand in the shade and look at it. Its beautiful.  I can't even imagine worrying about the cost of running my car air conditioner. Actually, it is a 4x4 four door pick-truck.  I don't worry about the cost of operating that either. Oh, my wife likes to look at her black car also.  To each his own.
I guess I should add, in answer to other posts, Black IS harder to maintain if you want to do it properly. Both ours are "ceramic coated" and I enjoy washing and detailing on a regular basis. I would never let someone else do it. It relaxes me and looks better when I stand in the shade or sun looking at them.

Being born and raised in Detroit, Mi (Motor City) I have been a car hobbyist all my life, so don't waste your time criticizing.  BTW I only scanned through the posts so I didn't see what the "Trans" posts are about. But, the Pontiac Trans Am was a great car.

She turned it down. Now how much better do you feel for posting rubbish?

However Khin Win refused to accept it and through a Myanmar translator said: “Money in this envelope cannot be compared to the life of my daughter.”

She added that she was not angry with him because she realised he was as sad as she was.

She then patted his head with her hand amid the mournful atmosphere at the funeral pavilion crowded with guests because it was the last night of the prayers.

Thai banks, at least some of them such as Krungsri, have a method whereby a spouse's name can be invisibly added to the account records and the passbook.

The bank passbook's face page will still show only you (the farang) as the sole account holder, and that's all Immigration would see. But the bank, when it examines the passbook, can see the spouse's name added invisibly on (I believe) a place in the very back of the book.

Via that method, it would allow the named spouse immediate and full access to the account in the event of the death of the primary accountholder, without having to put the account deposit thru Thai probate.

I've been avoiding this debate up until now and only read hit and miss. I only want to second  the above is 100% correct. I have the same on more than one account at Bangkok Bank.  They also have a power of attorney in my wife's name on record.

There are a bunch of Toyota Revo groups were those shocks and springs are being sold second hand. Many Thai people want them, as they aren't available new from Toyota. You could look up the brand profender (Thai brand). I have them on my Ford Ranger and it's night and day. I also added one extra leafspring in the rear (Ironman) and Ironman springs in the front. Ride is now as comfortable as a pickup can be.

Thanks, so don't keep me guessing. ???? Where did you get the shocks?

Edit: I did some searching and there are some shops listed in Chiang Mai.  I'll have to go see.  I checked a YSS shop today but they said "not available yet" for my GR Sport, which I find hard to believe.

I would change your shocks and also you may have tires that are meant to be driven off the road you need to have tires that are for the regular pavement that you drive on like in the city. Also, my tire pressure says 35 in all four tires, I am not putting 37 and all tires and the tire mileage I get in the tire wear longer so I want to change the soft and you’d be surprised to extra pounds in inch tires you get better gas, mileage.

Apparently you didn't read my post above. But thanks for your input anyway.  It is not the air in the tires or the type of tire.  I am not new to this game.

Tyre pressure is extremely important as noted by others.

Brand is also important e.g.'s Pirelli are hard tread a walled, but compared to the next tyre noisier, but a very durable compound, Michelin are a tad softer but between the two in durability, Yokahama are a softer wall, quieter tread noise and give a softer ride but wear out maybe 15 to 20% faster than Pir's, Continental make a superb tyre also in a good range of patterns and performances.

Like others have said you can replace the shocks but you need to consult a suspension specialist not some local dude with a shopfront as horror stories abound of ignorant fellas changing out stock shocks for some fancy thing that 'bottoms out' (eventually blow out) or rides way too soft and interferes with cornering stability.

Thanks, yes I agree.  I was hoping someone may have experience here with a shop that is not, as you state, "some local dude with a shopfront".

You're right the GR Sport uses different shocks and incredibly stiff springs (part of the GR Sport Package). If you change the shocks and springs to standard Toyota OEM Spec, then the ride will probably get a bit softer. Sell the GR Sport shocks online for 20,000 baht (that's how much they are going for).

Good to see you familiar with GR Sport and I agree with what you said. The Omni Shock and spring changes are one of the selling points on the GR but it is more extreme than I care for.  I had "Rancho" brand adjustable shocks installed on my previous Hilux 4x4 but my source is now gone.

I think I will try to source some quality after market shocks although hard to find in Chiang Mai.  My main question is which has the most affect, the shocks or springs.  Where did you see GR Sport Shocks for sale?  Thanks.
