  1. Sorry if I failed to express the things in a way to understand my situation completely. But even though your answer helped already, thanks. I did not expect that i can apply 30/45 days prior ... I had a shorter period in mind. 30 days would work, 45 days would be great for me, no stress. Could you do me another favour and explain to me why you wrote "30/45 days"? When do 45 days apply? And I did not know, that presenting a flight ticket could even help. I have to go to the Immigration in Lampang.
  2. Hello all together, I have an extension of stay based on a NON O Visa (retirement) and a mulitiple reentry permission on top. All arranged without using an agent and circumventing potential problems and I want to do so in the future too. I would like to leave Thailand in the end of november for 4 weeks - which is around the date when my EoS is coming to its end on 14th Dec 2023. As far as I remeber there is just a special period of time around the date of expiry to appy for a renewal. (Right now I am not aware of the exact details). And I guess that i would like to be outside Thailand during that whole period. Have you got any good suggestions for me how to obtain an extension legally quite early? (I don't want to apply for a new eVisa in my home country). PS.: ... if there is no easy solution available I will probably not leave Thailand at that time. Thanks for your help Uwe
  3. I was in the same situation about returning but decided differently than you even though I had troubles with the paper for the Non O visa based on retirement too. My different decision was based on two things: 1. I was worried about having problems when I want to change to from visa exempt to Non O within Thailand. Even having all requirements correctly I fear that (fabricated) problems might arise and I refuse go for special solutions. 2. I have to travell about 100 km to immigration which consumes money and a lot of time. So I decided to apply for the visa in Europe. If I was lucky everything would be fine (and I got my eVisa already now). If I wasn't lucky I still have the visa exempt as fall back solution.
  4. Yes, in generall an option. But as my immigration is far away from my home it needs a lot of traveling. And as my immigration isn't great about the normal process without supporting options I am afraid I will not manage in one day ... thats why I would love to sort it out online ....

  6. Hi all, as I left Thailand two days ago to Germany I want to use the situation and change from my old Non Immigrant O-A Visa to the O Visa because I don't want to continue with the TIGA-approved health insurance. So I have just started my first E-Visa process for Thailand at the consulate in Frankfurt/Germany. And I checked again my process is based on the Visa-type "Non-Immigrant Visa(O)"! Filling in the data I was surprised that there was a mandatory field for the expected flight number - that did not bother me, i could fill it. But was suprised that that information was mandatory. But on the fourth and last step about supporting documents I got stuck right now. There are 9 different documents required (all marked with a red star which I regard as sign for mandatory) and some of them confuse me. I hope for clarification what I have to provide: 4 . Proof of the permanent residence in the country where the application is submitted - I don't know what type of document should I bring? Is my German ID-Card with front and back side the right document (address is on the back side). 6 . Health Insurance issued by insurer with outpatient benefit of not less than 40,000 THB and inpatient benefit of not less than 400,000 THB. - OK, I got a document for that but I thought for the O Visa I don't need health insurance (or just for the extension?) 8 . Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her consular jurisdiction and residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency. - Is my German ID-Card with front and back side the right document (address is on the back side). Thanks for your help Uwe
  7. I just tried to follow your description, but failed. I got a newer Version than you: 3.17.1 on my android phone. clicked on the three dots, logged in, but on the page I do not find anathing like "Request account statemenet". I thought to find it in the block of "Other Services" - but nothing. Am I too stupid or is that service not available any more in the higher Version that I use?
  8. I forgott to describe one more function after booking my appointment. On the day before the appointment was due I got a reminder mail from the immigration (without the link to cancel or reshedule the appointment).
  9. Clear answer: No and I can report about this now: My new appointment is next week on Tuesday so still several days in the future. And I just checked to try to change the date. Right now it worked again. I regard this as the clear proof, that changes generally can be done several days ahead of the appointment.
  10. I had used to book an appointment at Lampang immigration. Got an instant confirmation mail. Some days later clicked on the link within the mail to change the date. Failed, Failed for several days. One day before the appointment the link worked and I could reshedule - with instant new confirmation mail. My conclusion: typical local prgramming: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. (Note the failure to reshedule my appointment also occured on normal workday/worktime - several attempts)
  11. for your information: As I need to sign a new "local" health insurance for my first extension of stay I contacted LMG a few days ago. They stopped signing new contracts based on the "old(recent?)" requirements and only sign new contracts with the "new(September 2022?)" requirements. Now they offer three different plans with different deductibles: 300,000 and 500,000 and 1,000,000. For the cheapest plan under the old situation I would have had to pay 6,000 Baht per year but due to the new situation I will have to pay 14,500 Baht per year (with 1 Million dedutible) at the age of 58 years for the cheapest plan now. That plan is a real never use insurance for me ... just for the extension of stay as some sort of fee. PS.: Of course I make sure that I will be coverd by another insurance (worldwide). I have attached the document from LMG for your information. Brochure -Long Stay VISA 100K USD.pdf NEW.pdf
  12. Three weeks ago I failed to do my TM30 online by webbrowser - even though I had done it several times before. I got the recommendation to try the app (called Section38 [for android]) and manged to do it by the app. I suggest give it a try, you can use the same logon data as by the webbrowser. Good luck! The online-services like TM30 and 90 days reporting let me fear for the Thailands future in the digital world ...
  13. you say you where able to "save changes". Are you sure that the final message was a success message? Some days ago I had troulbes too, but my final message after saving the data was en error-message written in Thai. And consequntley I could not find stored data. the search for stored data never caused wrong data to me yet. On my post here for my problem someone suggested (too late) that I should have marked the tick box in front of the table where the data are transferred to. The solution for me was to execute the app for section 38 which I downloaded for my android phone by this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.go.immigration.section38&hl=en
  14. Your guess is right, I did not tick that check box. But I am quite shure that I never did before. But over all you are right that could have been a solution for me this time! Thank you. I will try next time! This time I managed to save my data with the app. For calrification: the error massage was after the final confirmation to save the data and it was a small window just in Thai writing - when normally the succes message was displayed.
  15. The app worked with me just some minutes ago. Thanyk you very much!
  16. After I finished the sandbox I finally arrived at my Thai-home yesterday and wanted to fulfill the standard duty with the tm30 online some minutes ago. I have done TM30-onlinereporting before and it always worked in the past. But today the final step of saving the data ends with an error. I logged on, choose notification, edited the data, transfered the data into the table clicked save and confirmed that I want to safe the data but then it ends with an error. I have no idea what went wrong. Does anybody know of general problems? When I check data, nothing is found, so it seems true that saving the data failed. Any suggestion what to do? The local hospital has put me under 7 days home quarantaine which did not bother me until now. Thanks for your help, Uwe
  17. I have a multiple entry non immmigrant O-A Visa that expires on 17th November 2021. A few days ago I entered the sandbox and got stamped a validity until 24th September 2022 for my actual stay. The balance at my bank account is above 400k since long time and above 800k since 22nd of September 2021. What is the right date to apply for an extension of stay (and start with the health insurance)? Or is that chance already gone for me this time because the balance of my bank account is 5 days late above 800k? I want to prepare myself for a situation where I have to leave Thailand in a real hurry due to a family reason on an unpredictable date. And I would like to avoid to apply for a new visa when I want to return to Thailand again. Thanks for your answers! Uwe
  18. That happended to me some time ago too. If you are still in Phuket I suggest that you return to the airport and contact the immigration. When I had my problem I realised it when I was far away from my point of entry (BKK) and I wanted to extend my visa in Chiang Mai. My data luckily where in the IT-System but they refused in Chiang Mai and sent me to the immigration at Chiang Mai airport. I did not mange to get it solved at the airport because Chiang Mai wasn't my point of entry and they suggested to me: make a boarder run to Lao - which I finally did. So I guess if you manage to contact the immigration at your point of entry they will manage to help you - cross my fingers for you.
  19. I have left already once and returned before expiry. I intend to leave after expiry date of the O-A visa once again and return some time later. Hopefully based on an extension of stay that allows me to do this - but I don't know, if that is possible. Or do I have to apply for a new visa in that situation?
  20. Hello all together, I got a non immigrant O-A visa and need an extension of stay in some time (December). I am not married (yet) and have a medical insurance from a european company, that was good for the visa application and is valid until April 2023, contract and certificate in englisch. My bank account is above 400k continusely since some time transferred from aboad, but not above 800k yet. What requirements do I have to bring for the extension of stay at the immigration (in Lampang)? Do I need a local health insurance? And I need the option to leave Thailand and return again. What do I have to do to recieve that permission too? Thanks for your help and answer Uwe
