Absolutely unacceptable comment from a monk. His job is promoting the temple and it's events, not insulting performers that are trying to help the temple.

Swedish Man Arrested for Allegedly Working at a Bar in Karon
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
"Recommending"? Was he selling drinks or just a customer making suggestions about the menu? It would not be unusual for a regular to suggest things to someone new. You don't need a permit for bar chat. On the other hand it could also be the horrible vocabulary of the posts on this site. What is this guys relationship to the bar? -

Prison for a year or two. Reparations to her, then back to Europe. Maybe he would prefer the UK where he can commune with some football thugs. -

Tolls are still part of the negotiation for that, but I leave Pattaya for the sophisticated foreigners like you. -

Your personal opinion guns
cjinchiangrai replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Never owned one, never needed one, never wanted one. The gun crazies in the US are just that, crazy. Cross the Venn diagram with delusional MAGA morons and you have a deadly mix. -
Wow! So you can get a whole smart phone for 1k but a key-fob is 6k? Not exactly a god value is it? The circuitry in the fob is nothing, I would be surprised if they cost 200 baht, including the case.

Thai taxi driver slams cops for toll indulgence
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
It is always odd through the language barrier and there are usually issues on both sides, however, I am not fighting with anyone over a 100 baht toll charge. Maybe he had an EZ-Tag? -
Thai taxi driver slams cops for toll indulgence
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
As I clearly stated: I have never entered a toll road without the driver asking. -
My MG6 uses an electronic key-fob. There is a plastic door key inside the transmitter as well. You could copy that easily enough but it does not start the car. I have both of mine but what are they asking for a replacement?

Thai taxi driver slams cops for toll indulgence
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
They need signage to clarify that tolls are extra but people should have some sense that there is no way to add tolls to the meter. I have never entered a toll road without the driver asking. I always arrive with small money to pay for the taxi and tolls. Never give 1000 because you will not get change. The falangs were wrong and should have been made to pay. -
Thai immigration cracks down on misbehaving foreigners
cjinchiangrai replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What they need to do is crack down on the IOs doing under the table extensions, then they can limit O applications to two a year. Eliminating the shady visa holders will eliminate most of the shady behavior.- 73 replies

I was just told that the Korat office is charging 2400 for an O annual extension. Is this a new rate or are they just short of tea in the office?
