  1. Hi

I recently applied for an extension of stay. At the end of the process, they gave me the following document in Thai (see attachement) to fill out.

Anyone know this document? And what is it good for? And why is it in Thai only?

As far I know, all the information on this document are already somewhere all the other documents I gave them.

Sorry if this topic has been discussed already somewhere else.....

  2. ....he starts eating all the leftovers.... = a man with a lot of civil courage.

They are all looking down at me when I'm doing that at home - and their friends too, but I don't have the "cochones" to do this in the public.... Sooo many people are starving in this world.

That is original rule that have been clarified and refined by more than one ministerial order or a immigration order since 1979 when the immigration act was done,

I was thinking about that when posting this article, but I thought, Ujoe will intervene anyway, hahahaha. I just wonder if any of those immigration guys have the overview about all those changes....

  4. Hi

I had the same problem with my Hitachi AirCon. I asked the experts here, what I can do to avoid something like that happens again and they told me, there is nothing I can do....

After they fixed it, I reopened the whole thing. On my board there is a small whole, where one can put the finger inside to open the board.  This is the only way the Gecko could crawle in. I closed this whole - that's it. See attachement.

The price for my board was about 5500 bath.

  5. I always thought, Crossy is untouchable ????

Well, I got a visit from immigration even 3month after the approval of my extension of stay for marriage visa without any notice, while I was learning Thai at school. I changed to retirement and it is such a relieve.....No endless admin and not wasting that much paper any longer. I always felt very sorry for the trees..... - maybe one day in 1000 years archoeologist may think that there must be a huge jungle where I'm living right now if I would stay if this insane paperwork.

... Walking along the Phnom Penh river front a 10 year old vendor of trinkets approached me to sell something. Her English was excellent and I asked her where she learnt. She said tourists taught her and she wrote down anything new she heard. After an interesting chat ( with a 10 year old for heavens sake ! ) ...

I made the same experience in Siem Reap 10 years ago with a little boy about 7 years old.... his English was amazing while my 16 years old nephew can't barely speak English while going to a very expensive private school with extra English lessons....

You surely are a good Stepfather and you are angry because of the situation. But there are things in life, you can not learn at Universities and life is bareley fair. A university degree doesn't grant anything. I was told by my mom, that I have to work twice as hard as others.... I have university degree and I always worked very hard just to learn the lessons in life, that there are people who don't have a university degree and some didn't seem to work at all, were so much more sucessfully than me - some of them were doing nothing else than networking all the day long... sometimes a brown nose is also very helpful for a career...

But the real lesson I have learnt was, that if you get used to hard work, you will always find work and can survice somehow, while people with or without a university degree who are not willing to work are useless, because they always depend on the goodwill of others.

I wish your step-daugther all the best and that she will make the right choice.

  8. As already said before, they can come everyday, wasting their time and the goverments money, but what makes me really angry is the fact, that I wasn't at home, when they where here.

Assuming I would have a hard time with my wife and therefore she would tell them that I just went out "f..." my girl....blablablabla

What do you think, what would happen? What do you think who they are going to trust and believe...

Yeah, yeah, their rules, their games.....

they haven't visited you 3 month ago when you were making an extension.

There were overstretched with the majority doing their extensions at the same time, end of september.

now they were passing in you area and decided to visit.

    ...

I was told at immigration, that the visite is only for the first application to get to know each other....And I'm living only 100m from the immigration office....

Never mind, this is not important...

According to my understanding, there shouldn't be any problem for him to enter Switzerland based on the vaccines here in Thailand:

Link is published by the Swiss Government:

    https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home/krankheiten/ausbrueche-epidemien-pandemien/aktuelle-ausbrueche-epidemien/novel-cov/empfehlungen-fuer-reisende/quarantaene-einreisende.html#-440105700

Which COVID-19 vaccines allow entry to Switzerland?

People who have received one of the following vaccines can enter Switzerland:

    • Pfizer/BioNTech (BNT162b2 / Comirnaty® / Tozinameran)
    • Moderna (mRNA-1273 / Spikevax / COVID-19 vaccine Moderna)
    • AstraZeneca (AZD1222 Vaxzevria®/ Covishield™)
    • Janssen / Johnson & Johnson (Ad26.COV2.S)
    • Sinopharm / BIBP (SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell))
    • Sinovac (CoronaVac)
    • COVAXIN®

People who have been vaccinated with two different vaccines are considered to be fully vaccinated if:

    • the vaccines used have been approved by the authorities in Switzerland (Swissmedic) and the EU (EMA) or are on the WHO emergency use list and
    • they were administered in accordance with the regulations or recommendations of the state in which the vaccination took place.
