  1. I remember following this rescue effort when it happened and thinking it likely they would not be able to pull it off. But they did it. Very inspiring and heroic story. A great role-model representation not only as how to act in a crisis but as members of the expat community acting with valor in their host country. These aren't the only expats who stepped up when needed also. Not to detract from John and Ricks actions but there were a group of expats who really acted during the pandemic to help those hard hit by the economic impacts, especially Olivier Gachoud of Switzerland and Jean-Pierre Barbier of France. They organized 19 straight months of food aid distribution to the homeless and impoverished (including expats) affected by the economic downturn, providing over 56,000 meals at a cost of over 1 million THB, the majority of it funded personally and solely by Mr. Gachoud. I highly encourage Aseannow to post a story about these folks. Read about their efforts here: https://thepattayanews.com/2021/11/14/an-interview-with-olivier-gachoud-after-roughly-19-months-of-helping-the-needy-during-covid-19-crisis-in-pattaya/ Salutes.
  2. dont think any need to re-register; just alerting folks that some more options just came available for those outside Bangkok area.
  3. I registered on Aug 1st but still have not received either an email acknowledgement or update confirmation. I did get the "Registration Success" webpage after entering all info and took the screenshot below. It does mention other sites for vaccination being established in non Bangkok & neighboring provinces, so its possible those who qualify as elderly/at-risk but are outside the listed provinces will be delayed in getting response. Still maybe good idea to monitor https://thailandintervac.com/ and contact hospitals directly with inquiries. Thanks to folks who are sharing info/experiences here.
  4. focus on whatever interests/passions already fulfill your life after a quick listen from this man: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSKzLKFeuNQ
  5. Just tried registering several times to this; all messages returned saying "mailbox now full". Guess not all of us are 'special'.
  6. I registered for Moderna on Jun 3rd thru Thonburi Healthcare Group (THG) but have been unable to pay. On July 1st i received a message that i could make a payment, but i had to set up my account to do it which took some time. Now when i try to make payment it says the system is now closed due to 'the full amount has been reached' (as per translation). I assume this means that i did not make payment fast enough and my registration has been cancelled in favor of someone else who has already paid. In an earlier post it was noted that payments could start from Jul 1st and continue thru months end allowing THG to tally quantities for pre-order: (https://aseannow.com/topic/1222043-moderna-at-private-hospitals-itll-cost-3400-baht-for-two-jabs-can-pay-from-thursday/). So it could be these quantities have already been reached. Has anyone else had this experience or have more info to offer? Regards.
