So the "well-to-do" will likely get "their" 10,000 baht before the less well-to-do get their imaginary digital wallet.
A less tax revenue, given the 10,000 baht rebate. However will they make that up?
Not sure how much "domestic consumption" the well-to-do generate with their 10,000 baht.

I guess we can use that freely going forward.

So you're calling me a nut-job?
Not sure that's allowed here.

This is you opinion, right? If you could support it with, maybe another sentence or three it might get some traction. As it is, it reflects badly on you.
Alcohol-related deaths are quite high here.
The study estimates an average of 11,887 alcohol-attributable deaths per year in the Thai population.
https://movendi.ngo/science-digest/years-of-life-lost-due-to-alcohol-consumption-in-thai-adults/
I can't find any data on Cannabis-related deaths, just some anecdotal reports of weight gain from overdosing on doughnuts.

Why any female wants to jog alone in a remote dimly lit area at 9:30 at night is beyond me.
The article is unclear, just that the passerby found her at 9:30 PM.
She may have been jogging during daylight hours, assaulted then, and only recovered enough to be found hours later.
But feel free to blame the victim, that ALWAYS works. ????

I have a kid in Thailand and I'd rather educate her here in Thailand then subject her to the loonie tunes in USA. Better education my as*.
OK, I'm confused. You live in thailand? Were you considering educating your daughter in the U.S.?
But then you found this story and what, changed your mind?
I'd euthanize my child before sending them to a thai "school".
Why do you think so many higher end thais send their kids to school in the U.S. and the U.K.?

TV shows? Huh? You do realize these are fictional, and entertainment, right?
Oh, I see it's from the Washington Examiner. /facepalm

So your beef is with the school district?
Honestly one minor incident sets you off?

Stop using palm oil!
Easy for you to say, but the thai cook to order food industry prepares millions of dishes per day. and many require palm oil.
What do you suggest they use? Cake?
Palm oil[1] yield per unit of land is 6-10 times[2] higher than for other oil crops such as soy, rapeseed, sunflower, coconut and olive. This means oil palm has the lowest production cost among vegetable oils.
Indonesia lifted their palm oil export ban this week so there should be some price stabilzaiton/relief?

Ah yes, waxing poetically about thai sticks. For the most part <deleted> brick weed wrapped onto sticks, and sold for a premium. Might have been the first thai scam?
AFAIK, no plan for thai sticks, except maybe to dupe tourists?

are the police now equipped to test drivers who may be under the influence of marijuana?
Yes, have been for years. Urine I think.
They've also been testing quite a few new testing options, both for people (Incl. hair) and for samples.
Although this probably depends on your status. High status can do a runner, turn yourself in in a day or two for "testing".

SpaceX Reportedly Paid $250,000 To Settle Sexual Harassment Accusation Against Elon Musk
Musk allegedly “exposed his genitals” to the attendant, touched her thigh and said he would buy her a horse if she gave him an “erotic massage,” according to Insider, which interviewed the friend and reviewed the friend’s declaration (Insider said the flight attendant declined to comment).
The attendant told her friend that, after she refused Musk’s alleged advances, her work shifts were reduced, giving her the impression that she was being punished, Insider reported.

I LOVED "Hacks".
No, it's not about computers or the interwebs.
I binged S01, there's a S02. On HBO Go Asia.

AseanNow Woke Meter: 2 out of 10, so has women protagonists and actors of various genders, ethnicities and sexual orientation. Portrays the modern world. So the AN demographic should take the potential seizure and apoplexy warnings seriously. Check with your children and grandchildren first.
If you liked The Kaminsky Method or The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, you may enjoy this.

For the best (Mon Thong?) nuggs it's 1,500 baht/Kg. Maybe ~ 450 per "aril".

"Bra"?
Honestly who writes this drivel.
BTW, I'd kill for those abs.
FWIW, I don't think that's the "mother of three". Maybe a relative?

It's a whole sub-genre, scantily clad/top-heavy women whipping up food in stalls. Seems dangerous, especially when it involves high-heat dishes, with oil.

Just found a few articles from yesterday/today.
BJT have drafted the legislation. Other parties, Move Forward, are reviewing and negotiating additions.
My vaguest recollection from an draft in ~ February was that much of it covered all of the controlling mechanisms. A new Cannabis Commission, and all the legal, technical, testing, approvals, etc etc etc were detailed.
The primary "fear" of progressives seems to be that a few vested interests will control production, and that 'farmers' will get little in return.
Other concerns surround what exactly can be grown, by whom, and what can be done with the crop.
Still a lot of confusion.
That's my read today.
edit/add regarding Medical (google translate)
The Gold Card Welfare Section has added 3 items to the National Herbal Medicine Account, which the public can use for treatment according to the Gold Card Rights. Includes 1. Agreed.
The methamphetamine scourge is shameful. The supply is staggering.
There are literally bales of millions of Meth pills and crystal Meth falling off trucks as these are transported from the North to Bangkok for distribution, and transshipment to other countries.
Given the local preference for Meth I can't see cannabis ever making headway in thailand.
They need drugs to get up and go. No drugs required to lay about.

AFAIK, the required legislation has not yet been read in Parliament.
There are drafts. The last one I saw was ~ 45 pages I think, in thai, so I relied on Google Translate.
Could it be read and revised, voted on and submitted for Royal approval before 9 June 2022?

I think it's something simple, but maybe best if you contact Netflix THL and open a support ticket.

Can you provide five (5) show titles, which you were previously able to access but now cannot, so we can check to see if we can access them with Netflix THL or via a VPN?

Russian MMA brothers cleared of all charges after violent robbery in Phuket
in Thailand News
Posted · Edited by mtls2005
So many questions, but it sounds like the RTP has successfully wrapped up this case.
I'm sure the potential high-value Chinese tourists will love reading about another foreigner being tortured and robbed in Phuket.
This sounds like it may be turning into a fake news event. Nothing to see here.
