That is a very valid concern. We had one client who worked with their WordPress plugin. The client was British and spoke very little Thai. He seemed to be quite happy with them, but I am not sure if he ever needed any real support. It all just seemed to work.
what about chargebacks ? do you know if they close accounts easily ?

I have been buying non-butter croissants from Big C for a few years now. I am very happy with them. (In fact, I don't like the butter ones much anyway.
it makes little difference to me as I have French raspberry jam or English marmalade on them either plain or toasted.
Just a tip: I buy them fresh, put them in the freezer and take two or three out as required and they seem to lose nothing in taste or texture.
My wife and my little dog love them, too!
I agree that BigC croissants 70 thb for 10 are the bets for the price in whole country.
But a lot better if you unfreeze them in an oven, but maybe living in the Esaan countryside you do not have one ?
Paying a croissant in Thailand as much or even more than what they cost in France is totally insane and I guess they target only Thai who know nothing but are proud of being like this !

40 thb chicken steak and 60 thb fish steak, the real price of things, but people seem to enjoy paying 10 times more for the same thing...

Who will control the one by one? Are you happy to pay for the administration? Security guard to stand by the pool? A queue or booked appointments? How will you coordinate that throughout the province?
You will gain respect from us when you come up with fully described proposals. If they are any good, I will pass them on to my friends in government. They need to be fully costed mind you.
When pool is open at both my condos, a security guard is ALWAYS there ! so as you see, it's not so difficult when not living in a zhithole...
Yes pass anything you want to your imaginary government friends hahahahaha, but if they were able to understand anything they would already take better decisions !

Why such a rude and patronising post?
Real price of things? Such a simplistic statement. Is rent the same everywhere in Thailand?
Not every restaurant can survive on such low margins.
Who do you know who enjoys paying 400 baht for a chicken steak and/or 600 baht for a fish steak? Try to be nice. How many people have you insulted in a single post? Hopefully you can do better the next time.
Thank you for the summary of the restaurant itself. I don't eat out much; but cheap cuts of meat and frozen chips aren't high on my list personally. But this isn't a thread featuring gourmet restaurants; rather people just telling about what they have experienced.
So I posed the question in case it was of interest to others.
You mean people also living in a cave ? ????

If you have a Thai husband/wife you can use their ID & bank account - I use my fiances and use an individual account without any issues. It's our business together so it's not technically illegal!
omise or paysolution / thaiepay ?

So, some people pay 12000 for a good crown and some pay 20000 for the same thing ?
Not very surprising actually...

I guess it will run at most 6 months before they understand that it was one more time a stupid idea ????

Your only choice as individual is Thaiepay that accepts Thai even without any registered company (but work permit needed for foreigners).
Omise and others all require a registered co Ltd.

Have noticed a popular, but inexpensive place near the junction of Sukhumvit/Thepprasit (not the Tesco side).
The menu looked relatively simple. Steak, fries salad. That sort of thing. But the prices seemed good. Perhaps from 49 or 59 baht. I'll take pics the next time I'm there. Has anyone tried it?

That whole public/private thing was started last lockdown, but was not really the case. I'm on the committee at my condo, and we called City Hall during both lockdowns, and were instructed to close the pool. Public means shared across households, which is the case in a condo. And while you deride the manager for following the law, it's the manager and the committee that would face the fines and possible jail terms, not you.
I have no respect for these people closing a pool when we can just allow people to swim 1 by 1.
They all have no brain and people who support them also.

Spurred on by the reasonable performance of the flood light I bought three of the "150W" version of these:-
https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i1330690542-s3321646144.html
Ordered Tuesday morning, delivered Wednesday afternoon (despite saying 2 day delivery), cant fault that.
In the box is the light itself, 28W solar panel, the mounting tube, the brackets for the panel the remote (no batteries) and a bag of nuts, bolts and washers. All looks pretty ok and the cover comes off so replacing the batteries shouldn't be an issue.
Removing the cover and the Bacofoil reflector reveals the works.
Inside is a 3.2V 20Ah GN 32650 pack, looks like 5 x 32650 cells making them 4Ah each. Note that this is not the 32Ah pack promised by the Lazada spec page.
Left in the sunshine all morning and checked the battery current when ön
Battery voltage was 3.15V so with 3.58A we have about 11.3W, acceptable for my purposes but not the 15W or so I was expecting given the "150W" rating on the box.
One important fact was that I had to use my clamp meter, inserting my regular DMM on 10A range upset the electronics and the beast only came on dimly.
I also note that "DIM" appears not to function although it's possible that what we have is "DIM" and "BRIGHT" isn't working because the batteries aren't fully charged yet, we shall see how things pan out after more sunshine.
Also, the provided hardware doesn't include a pole mounting kit, wall mount as supplied. No problem as I'm mounting mine on our power poles using custom made brackets.
You will need your "assorted nutz, boltz, scrooze and washerz" box as there are (as usual) nowhere near enough washers provided and the bolts intended for the solar panel are way too small.
More coming soon.
Hello, so you recommend to buy the same ? or any cheaper one that is also good ? thanks.

hi boys ????
on a 10 years water heater, do you know if it's better to just change it or is there anything to look when the TRIP light switches ON after using few seconds or when pushing the test button ?
then need to turn off the breaker to get the trip light OFF and use heater few seconds again.
thank you.

With all due respect - what a BS.
There are now 13 posters on my ignore list. Most of them did qualify because of their demonstration of extraordinary lack of compassion for others. Just recently a new small group emerged: The Trump supporters (qualification therefore inherently included). But some easily amused posters might soon be catching up.
Please be therefore invited to the party as well ! And have a hearty laugh alltogether !
Great for you and keep dreaming your life with amazing restaurants ❤️

But exeptional food is definitely a concern. On Koh Chang there is one (single) restaurant which alone makes the trip worthwile.
I can't stop laughing. You must be Thai to think that any restaurant is worth even noticing.
How ridiculous.

Thanks a lot.
Four restaurants does not really sound promising. Then these are probably 2 seafood restaurants, one Thai restaurant and one burger shop ????. The island seems to be very small, overall there might be more possibilities - but you are right - maybe not the right choice for us compared to Koh Chang. A pity since the beaches seem to be very nice.
If you like beaches that look like sewer, go to Koh Chang. So funny how overrated this island is when it is ugly compared to southern island and to Samet.
Samet is the only and only one island in Thailand that is not located in the south but still look nice like southern islands.
And actually luckily many people who know nothing waste their time on Koh chang.
