  1. ...

I don't know about Georgia, but the attack on Mumbai in India was done in collaboration with Mossad/CIA, I find it sometimes hard to comprehend the bluntness with which politicians/governments lie.

    ...

I reckon the seriously injured Israeli diplomat in India is going to be upset to learn about that from a tin foil hat website. Yes, I know, the blood was ketchup.

I quote one article I found for you in less than 2 minutes of research:

"David Headley is a Chicago-based Pakistani American, who conspired with Lashkar-e-Taiba to launch the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Since his arrest he has been closely guarded by the US government and access to him restricted. Despite pleading guilty he has not been extradited to India, instead he has been cooperating with the U.S. authorities with matters related to terrorism.

Before the attacks the CIA had strong links to Headley and it is suspected that he was an agent for them. Unfreemedia reports that India’s Home Ministry officials are now investigating whether the Pakistani-American terror suspect David Coleman Headley was in fact a CIA double agent."

    http://wideshut.co.u...ed-cia-and-isi/

So, the guy was involved in the attacks, and now works with the CIA, again. Ever wondered why India is giving the US the finger by buying OIL for Rupee from Iran?

have a look at the logo of the website, it may apply to you.

  2. Ahmadinejad last week said HIV and AIDS are a Western plot to "enfeeble" the developing world and to increase the market for US pharmaceuticals. This is the same guy who denies the Holocaust and vows before Allah to annnihilate Israel and all the rest of we infidels and apostates. etc etc etc.

Colin Powell said the USA has undeniable proof that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. Which it didn't... people can say a lot, it's something else to act upon it.

By the way, taking time into account, Jews had way less arguments to get Israel, than American Indians have to get their country back...

  3. The US, in particular, is claiming that Iran is building up its nuclear capabilities, which could pose a risk to stability in the Middle East.

The only risk to stability in the middle east, and the main reason for current instability, IS the USA, and they got WMDs.

The Israelis have come out to link the Bangkok bomb incidents with those in India and Georgia recently.

I don't know about Georgia, but the attack on Mumbai in India was done in collaboration with Mossad/CIA, I find it sometimes hard to comprehend the bluntness with which politicians/governments lie.

The US government delivers 40,000 Full Automatic Firearms to the Mexican Drug Cartel and brings back truckloads of drugs, and Thailand is put on the black list for money laundering... world politics are getting so bizarre...

Is Iran a threat to anyone? From all the "players" in the middle east conflict Iran is the country that has not attacked any other country in its proximity for the longest period of time, in fact the last time they were at war, they were attacked by USA goon Saddam Hussein. You know... the guy they supported and brought to power in Irak, the guy they sold weapons to while he was mass murdering his own population... you know, the guy the USA loved until he said he would sell his Oil in Euro (in response to being given the finger when he tried to attack Kuwait), tuning him into a mad man that may possess WMDs and needs to be attacked before we can find out whether that is true or not.

If the "west", and the USA in particular, is truly interested in a stable and peaceful Middle East, they should stop to stick there noses into things that should be none of their business.

  4. I'd suggest to start with the brothels full of under age kids that are frequented by Thais only.

While I despise child prostitution and support the notion to cut one's member when being caught in an under age brothel with a kid in bed, I do believe that adult prostitutes should be protected by the law, just like any other citizen. There is a very easy solution: Decriminalize, tax, regulate... it's the oldest profession/business in the world, get over yourself and make it legal...

  5. Here is a radical, but not new idea, tested and proven to work in Portugal: Decriminalize, educate, rehabilitate, reintegrate.

I wonder how many people would still be dealing and taking meth for example, if they would be educated in school about what this drug does to you, and how easy and cheap it is to make it.

As long as they keep pushing this into the hidden corner of society, this problem will always exist in secrecy...

Imagine all the cool jobs that could be created to help prevent drug addictions and treat those that have become addicted. Portugal has proven that the money saved in the war on drugs exceeds the money spent on prevention and care.

  6. Another piece of filth off the streets.

Yeah, its very good but the problem is still have thousands more... Would be nice if some expat ex-policemen or who have some power or courage (Balls) make some group to catch this crazy people and give them some lessons.....

Just setup a young girl's fake profile on Thaifriendly.com and let see how they feel then if they meet some body builder instead of the young girls... Maybe will teach lessons for the rest guys too a leaked video about the kindly threatment...

No offense, just an idea, definitly will reduce the number of pedophiles very very quickly and they can organize with the local police after or take the guy to immigration.

    Nice plan, but...

Pedophiles have easy access to under age kids in Thailand, they don't need the Internet.

If the guy gets beaten up by a body builder without abusing a child, then the only one that may get a problem with the BiB is the abuser in this case...

I wish pedophiles would be removed from society forever... the thought of how an old fart that is already on his way out of this world is messing up kids that have their whole life still in front of them makes me want to hurt people, too...

  7. I would say that by now you should have heard something, or at least had the credit card debited.

What I don't understand is why you sent it to Hong Kong.

I know that the British Embassy in BKK no longer does passport applications, and they recommend that you send it to Hong Kong,

Try sending it to the UK, its almost 1/2 the cost & as long as you have a mailing address in the UK. It seems to get turned around a lot quicker than doing it in Hong Kong.

He got his new passport 2 days ago... helps to read all posts ;)

  8. Som nom na !!!!!! these people need to get some back, its about time they got their commupence, ive witnesed many farangs getting ripped off by drunken whores in bars i.e cahier/ bar girl altering bill, stealing money, rip off taxi drivers, teams of taxi driving turds beating up on one single farang, not saying farnags dont deserve it sometimes beause ive seen farangs behave like sh*t to these girls and thai people but i think for once that these thai,s need to know that we will hit back when abused or threatened. Good on ya,s lads !!!!!!

I hope one day you meet people that first beat up your staff, and then later return for a knife fight to stab 2 more people.

  9. I live in Hua Hin for quite some time, I know some of the people that got beaten up or killed here.

First of all, these kind of crimes happen everywhere, even in front of your doorstep:

"Man killed amid Britain's post-Christmas sales"

    http://www.seattlepi.com/news/article/Man-killed-amid-Britain-s-post-Christmas-sales-2425296.php

"Man charged with murder after dog poop dispute"

    http://www.lfpress.com/news/canada/2011/09/09/18662221.html

Having something like this happen to you has nothing to do with where you are, it has to do with who you are dealing with. Donald Whiting is a good example that these things are not exclusively a "Thai" problem, as his dispute was with a Brit in Thailand.

If I would get an email from anyone saying:

“It would be better for you to pay us and have this finished once and for all. If you refuse to pay us we have other means to make you pay but let us do the best and soft way first. Please also pay the carpenters as they don’t know how to play soft”.

there are exactly 2 choices, as far as I know:

    1. Get really ugly

    2. Pay

This could be an email from the mob we all imagine from movies like Godfather.

The real problem in Thailand in general is the total lack of support by the authorities when you need it, the total lack of interest by authorities in crimes involving foreigners and Thais, and most of all the reason why this is continuing to happen: The gag-order on English news outlets in Thailand preventing them from reporting on these crimes.

You should get a Thai to translate the local Thai newspapers sometime, they usually do feature news involving foreigners that are not covered in the English media...

My condolences to Paul and his family, may he recover well and full.

  10. ...marijuana doesn't make you aggressive or stupid like that smile.png

That would depend on a number of things. Smoking a joing obviously doesn't make anyone agressive but prolonged consumption has been linked to increased risk of psychosis. Psychosis may well make you erratic and agressvive.

The Dutch, who know a thing or two about marijuana consumption, have done studies to that effect.

    http://aje.oxfordjou.../156/4/319.full

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12616543

    http://www.ukcia.org...ndPsychosis.pdf

Actually, THC is a psychosis enhancing substance in marijuana, while CBD, which is also in all marijuana plants, is a psychosis suppressing substance. That's why all pharmaceutical companies are trying to make synthetic CBD for that exact purpose. The reason why some young people in Europe are developing psychosis from smoking marijuana is because the stuff they smoke has been altered/cloned to have a very high THC and a low CBD content. Thai marijuana is a natural, so it contains both substances in a relative equal amount, and the chances for developing a psychosis is respectively low.

Anyways, it't totally insane to blame smoking pot for his actions, I guarantee they found other substances in his blood, fi they bothered to test for it. IMHO they just like to have something to blame on marijuana, because they need to justify their ban on marijuana.

  11. Has a city the size of Bangkok ever been flooded before? I hope the powers that be know what they're doing.

Bangkok has been flooded by much smaller amounts of water before .... I've seen a meter of water on Silom and Rama IV roads. But that was a flash flood situation that drained in a couple of days. This is a deluge that will last too long.

Bangkok is a BIG city with .. 15 -20 million people. There isn't enough food and (potable) water.

    From Wikipedia:

Bangkok has an official population of 9,100,000 residents, while the greater Bangkok area contains some 11,971,000 (January 2008).[4]

Certainly at least 8 million short of the 20 million you are estimating. Only about the 50th biggest city in the world.

Actually, most working class people in Bangkok (or anywhere else for that matter) are still registered at their home town. To be registered as a resident anywhere, you must be in the blue book, which means you have to either own the house/apartment or are a family member of the one who owns it. People who rent are never added to the blue book, and therefor are not residents officially....

  12. Tourist come here to relax not to be hassled

where are you going? On what day? Why are you going? Who are you going to be with? What are you going to be doing?

Wow might as well go to North Korea for a holiday ;)

Or to the USA, where you get the exact same question, as well as a full body x-ray or a nice little groping..

The new regulations are quite fair and are the same as a Thai applying for a visa to visit a European country. It says that if you can't supply a hotel booking

all you need to do is have a covering letter saying you will be staying with friends. I can't see what all the fuss is about. Such remarks as "killing tourism" are pathetic.

Tourists are coming here in increasing numbers.

    Agree 100% :jap:

  13. acting on an order from deputy national police chief General Priewpan Damapong,

Who is, of course, Pogamon's brother and the ex-brother-in-law of Thaksin. I wonder how he knew the bodies would be there?

Are these bodies supposed to be from the 2010 riots or the 2009 riots?

wow, thanks for that piece of information. I bet you could make the best soap in the world just by using the stories that happen in the governments, here and back home...

  14. I would imagine that the child would be classed as a thai dependent therefor very unlikely to NOT have your visa renewed.

If they did a special visa i can imagine the abuse of that like we see with the Education visa now.

If I read this correctly, it says in the article that they would inspect the foster parents' home and also would visited them twice a month thereafter, I expect that to be random, so abuse of this "way to get a visa" would be almost impossible I think...

It would be very interesting what the law really says... since you can get a visa to take care of your real child, I guess the same applies for an adopted one, no?

Yes adopting a Thai child entitles you to the same as if the child were your own blood. Foster child? Hmm not so sure about that.

Thank you :) I just now realized what foster kids means, English is not my native language, and in the article it also speaks of her adopting children, so I thought it;s the same.

Would be very interesting to see what the law says, could be to like a work permit, so as long as you have a foster child staying with you, you get a visa...

  15. Hate to say it but i do hope they have a good system in place to verify and do some kind of checks on potential "farang parents" and sort out the perverts of which there seem to be a lot in Thailand. Sad state of affairs but giving a poor kid to a bad apple could be a horrible thing to do to a kid.

Hate to say it but child abuse is something that is not so rare among Thais as you may think, I would actually tend to say an adopted child is general saver with a foreigner than a Thai. But you are right, in the end we can only hope that controlling body in place makes sure that abuse can't ever happen.
