40 police officers to be transferred over overloaded truck bribe scandal
Saddic replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The "inactive post" must surely have more officers assigned than the "active post" at this point... -

Saddic replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Remember when TAT was making claims of huge Chinese numbers... They aint coming (or the CCP aint letting them leave... same same)... https://apnews.com/article/travel-and-tourism-china-asia-business-6303cb348fca243abe0aa8eb37de87c6 Lunar New Year tourism hopes fizzle as Chinese stay home -
Huge spike in Covid-19 deaths reported in China
Saddic replied to ezzra's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
If these are the Chinese Gov's numbers, imagine what the real number are... Watch the YT channels, China Uncensored and Spotlight on China, for english version of news from on the ground in real time... -

Baht freefall could hit 38 https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/2399250/baht-freefall-could-hit-38 Thai Central Bank is out of bullets, and the US Fed's aint done raising rates... nuff said... -
all to common practice... and the price goes way up the higher you go... In some institutions, as a student becomes competent to teach, there may be some "credits" accumulated to offset the costs...

Let the train take the strain instead of flying out of Thailand
Saddic replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Way before Covid... I did BKK to Chiang Mai... Overnight sleeping berth... ac car... squat hole in the floor for a toilet... prepackaged bkfasts in the kitchen car... The thing is, they have to change the rail gauges somewhere along the way... and what was supposed to be simple, took hours... (aka sun up, before we were on our way again)... Banging all night while they were making repairs... Impossible to sleep... Will say, glad to have experienced Thai railways at their peak efficiency... ;P... Never again... Flew back to BKK... ... cant wait for their engineless Chinese highspeed trains... Probably be waiting forever... -

All you need to do is look at the various YouTubers vblogging from Thailand/Jontien/Pattaya or where ever else you are looking to leech from... There are several very high profile channels which broadcast from establishments around town with no problems to connectivity... (the same can be said about any country btw as the vblogger vermin are everywhere)...

Plenty of fresh noodles in the refrigerated section.. But you should try a few to determine your tastes... The dried ones are fine in a pinch... I was looking to make both Chinese noodle soup and to make chow mein... and successfully found an acceptable fresh noodle to meet my needs... but it took a few trys...

Disappointing and highly expected outcome (inaction) of the CCSA rubberstamp meeting... By comparison, Vietnam open immediately... Cambodia, and Phills opening too... Same other asian countries, India, Singapore, Malayasia, etc Thailand will be at the back of the bus for Tourists when/if they finally get around to taking any action (or lack thereof)... Only exception is the China block where they are still going with zero covid "strategy"... and are closing down entire blocks/sectors... good luck with that... No opening for them anytime this year... The dropping of pre-departure test is just smoke and mirrors folks... Face saving to cover their ineptness and lack of any plan or actions... Their 'talk' of (we'll see in July) making it endemic in July is just laughable (if it wasn't so sad... doubt anything will happen)... You better be checking with your destination and airline requirements, which are likely to require some form of test... YMMV...

Not much can be done for your broken ribs (unless life threatening)... They'll heal on their own, although you might have some discomfort for a while... The only complications I can think of (barring getting in a fight, don't...)... is if the Insurance doesn't pay...
