My 15 year old son uses a white school shirt and brown shorts + t shirt every school day or blue shirt and blue track suit bottoms + t shirt every school day plus underpants. He comes home and changes to shirt. shorts and pants. That gives me and the washing machine a workout every 3 or 4 days or twice a week plus white or brown socks with 2 more days at the weekend. Also a couple or more towels a week and that is just 1 teenager.
I am glad I am retired and my family isn't as big as yours.
yeah..., the wimmin decide how they wanna run the machine, they'll chuck in a few armloads and when it gets full they'll turn it on...meself I gotta watch me bowel movements...
I'm retired too but life is still complicated...

we've got a 4 legged drying rack assembled by a welder with metal tubes in our little town... look around close to where you live to find the same, lots of small metal workers to be found in those places, they do things like fences, gates, etc...with a welding machine and a place to work and yer in business!...we keep it on the terrace where there's lot of afternoon sun, about 3 loads of laundry per day with 3 kids (school uniforms, etc) and a baby...lots of squealing and pitter patter as well...

I have a Hitachi 18kBTU conventional unit with 7+ years of service in the bedroom with no probs but I keep it clean (indoor fan and coils disassembled) with a full clean by a cleaning professional twice per year...he uses a power pump on the outdoor coils...
cold, dark and quiet like a tomb...

aw well, I managed to extend again this week for another year...but being a procrastinator and now increasingly agoraphobic looks like I'll be able to sleep in my own bed for another year (hooray, and just got the ACs cleaned to boot)...the stepdaughter: 'tutsi, I need 2000 to go to the dentist to adjust my worthless and ornamental braces' and tutsi roars in return 'shaddap and get outta here and get me a woman!!! this time one with nice big hips...' (tutsi admires the work of cartoonist R. Crumb from the 60s and shares a similar proclivity for the female anatomy)

I had an HSBC account in Abu Dhabi in the late 1990s for which I needed UAE residency documentation...when yer no longer a resident you have to close the account immediately and transfer the funds to another account (I transfered to a UK account with considerable hassle)...I had a card that I could use for most purchases and withdrawals...no doubt things have changed since then...useta be the UAE didn't allow local accounts if you weren't a resident...
things were the same in saudi but by then 10 years later the saudis had internet banking with SABB bank (an HSBC affiliate)...

gotta have noodles in the morning...with all the different instant noodles it's like having a selection of cereals for breakfast when we were kids in the west...
'the young prince was admiring his splendid selection of noodles one morning...' "not a bad assortment I must say..."

If you don't know what you're talking about, why do you bother to post?
There's an enormous range of different curry pastes, each specific to the curry concerned.
And only some curries include coconut milk. Many - perhaps most - don't.
hey, relax...I only know what I see at the local market and maybe the folks at my house ain't got much imagination and prepare curries in the same way...
sphaghetti bolognaise is usually prepared to the chef's taste and there are many variations including the 'garden variety'...ground up lemon grass is a popular ingredient in curries, the MiL grows it on the front terrace...
-
what's the big deal? thai gaengs (curries) are usually made from red curry paste with coconut milk hence the characteristic color...OK with a bit of white rice but not immersed...

swedish meat balls use a mixture of ground beef and pork and very tasty if a bit rich...
ground meats are versatile and can be used for almost anything...thais don't eat much goat although it's available at the local market occasionally, they're big on the pork, chicken and fish like most 3rd world places, we get ours outta the klong and a BiL has a harpoon and net arrangement...the local beef ain't worth mentioning...even with grinding...needa go to the frozen meat section at makro for the AUS and NZ stuff...

cold in Hanoi this time of year (TET) and most places shut down for the month long holiday 'roll up the sidewalks' etc..not sure what it's like on the southern coast, Danang, Nha Trang, etc...hot and humid all year around in HCMC...Vung Tau on the coast near HCMC is probably OK...ain't much of a beach there though, mostly sexually deprived western oil workers...some good restaurants...'hey, lets get a pizza and a bottle of red wine and have a party and play hide the pepperoni...' three hours later 'goddam pizza is cold...'
oops, forgot that the OP is with his family...HCMC is OK for marriage visas from advice on this forum, not sure about retirement visas...
