  1. Thanks for the information. I did not receive a notification, but my wife's ITIN falls in the above category, so I will have to renew it. I guess they have their reasons for having to renew an ITIN after 34 consecutive years of use.
  2. If I am reading this correctly, if you apply for retirement extension, you have to produce 12 monthly deposits of 65k plus maintain 12 monthly deposits of 65k for the year after the extension is granted.
  3. In both cases I had 400k in bank plus 40k/month for 12 months.
  4. Did not use an agent. However they did say what Dayo202 stated above. I did have over 400k in bank and 12 months of 40k+/month. However when I got a Marriage extension 2 years ago they just gave it to me and never mentioned starting over again with a new visa from the Laos embassy. Maybe the rules have changed.
  5. I had and have over 400k in my bank. When I changed from Retirement to Marriage 2 years ago I had 400k+ in the bank. No problem then.
  6. 2 years ago I got an extension based on marriage with no problem.
  7. Last year I had Retirement based on monthly deposits. This year I had one month that was over 45k but less than 65k so I applied for Marriage extension. Denied. Immigration said I must meet the 800k or 65k/month when changing from Retirement to Marriage. This was news to me. I have had 24 consecutive extensions, some based on marriage, some on Retirement. Never had this problem before. Can someone enlighten me on this particular ruling.
  8. She's lucky to get to go to Russia. It's on my country's "do not travel" list.
  9. Finally got a photo accepted. Outside. Now the transfer is paused while they review my documents. I hope this is not the new norm.
  10. It was not, even though I did get an approval email. So I went to Immigration. The IO explained since I submitted on a holiday weekend the Date of the next 90 day approval had not been processed yet. However the IO processed it right away and the email came with the date.
  11. I did my 90 day report online but did not get a date for my next report. Is that the normal?
  12. RIP Ubon Joe. A star in the expat community. My condolences to his family.
  13. Note that some Red non air-con buses are free. These free buses feature a sign (in Thai only) on their windscreens, at the rear and on the sides that says: รถเมล์ฟรี จากภาษีประชาชน (= Free buses from public taxes)
