Face masks still mandatory on public transport, cinemas in Thailand
grantbkk replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This is BS. The Health (weed) Minister admitted months ago there was no law against not wearing a mask. -
‘Tourism fee’, now for all travellers to Thailand, ready to launch
grantbkk replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
20 years ago it was 500 Baht entry fee which in later years became 700 or 800 Baht. This now 300 Baht fee will be on top of that for absolutely nothing. I have a 128 page document detailing what insurance services I receive worldwide. This is a money grab just like the others. People should think of this 1,000/1100 Baht fee for no reason before deciding to come to Thailand only to be ripped off for more. -
Indians. Twice last week in two different bars, one group of 4 and one of 5 each ordered one drink and the appropriate number of straws. They were shown the door. These are the high end tourist the Government hopes will save them.

Only when the Thai Pass and insurance scam is gone. Most or many people worldwide dislike the midnight closing times. It is supposed to be a vacation. No one want an old man to order them to bed early in the evening.

Why do so many expats fall off their balconies in Thailand?
grantbkk replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
1. They have short railings unlike developed countries. 2. Drinking 3. Business disputes lead to homicides that are called suicide in Thailand 4. Victim mistakenly tells girlfriend she is the beneficiary of his life insurance 5. Run out of money (girlfriend upgrades) -
These fools must have come up with the 2nd test plan while being entertained by mistresses and bargirls by these rip-off hotels. We don’t know how many skipped the second test but making it a 10,000 Baht fine and deportations for a violation of the testing requirement should act as a deterrent. There are enough police standing around in every picture I see to get the job done. A nominal bounty of 1,000 Baht will get themoff their ass. the 2nd test BS money grab will put off tourists.

What does this mean for this guy’s mistresses?

I don't know if Phuket has the capacity to accept all of the tens of thousands of tourists that will begin to arrive now after these relaxed but unclear entry requirements update. LOL! If you need the TAT minister for any reason make an appointment as he is now mansion shopping before the new 500 Baht fee for nothing goes into effect. Your welcome.

Udon police arrest Swiss expat who killed armed intruder at his home
grantbkk replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
This is total <deleted>. The Swiss man should be given a medal and an apology from the governor for the dead guy’s behavior. Until something else comes up the Swiss man and his wife should be left alone. Farang should stay away from Thailand until this is cleared up. I hope he doesn’t get a 500 Baht surcharge for calling the police. -
This guy is hilarious! He has no idea what is happening from one minute to the next. Rain causes flooding! Priceless!

I may not be the only one who read this article on the front page of the Post and after just a few paragraphs realized the only word to sum it up is, “scapegoat”. The picture of Dr. Nakorn Premsri, picked by the Post or the government was a perfect scapegoat photograph too. Poor Dr. Premsri gave a lengthy apology as the National Vaccine Institute Director for not only his part in the debacle but the government itself. What is missing from the mea culpa were the actual culprits of the worst vaccine rollout since the pandemic of 1918. No mention of our Prime Minister of 7 years who singlehandedly took on the job of leading us out of this pandemic and took 100% of the credit for Thailand’s early success. Also conspicuously absent was the name of out esteemed Public Health Minister (not a doctor) who has said all is under control for the last year and a half. I think everyone now realizes who is primarily responsible for the thousands of covid-19 infections and hundreds of deaths for their decision to forgo the immediate acquisition of proper vaccine for Thailand. I want to let Dr. Premsri know that most of us understand what is happening and that he is mostly blame free for sinking the economy, tripling the suicide rate and causing the country to be locked down. Your work is appreciated.

So Thailand let a head securty guard play PM for 7 years and son of a consturction billionaire who is not a doctor lead us through a once in a lifetime global pandemic. What could go wrong? Add to thatwidespread corruption and general incompetence of an appointed government and here we are. Only a fully vaccinated public can dig us out. what's the plan?

Let's kill some more people, especially those that don't want to use substandard vaccine.

ASEANNOW.com - Thaivisa.com rebrands and expands beyond Thailand
grantbkk replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I remember that it all changed when someone tied all this to a new health insurance business. The Apple and Android apps went dead. I got a day off for asking about clickbait. I’m sure my data is protected and the management will not hand over any personal data.
