  1. A ban on pedantry would be a decent change, to be fair.
  2. ...and so what if there is? GoFundMe is there to raise funds for all sorts of things. Tomorrow there will be news on the news, (no) prostitution in Pattaya, warriors with keyboards and fundraising on GoFundMe.
  3. You'll need a ladder to get out of that hole if you keep digging.
  4. First job please.... remove or severely reduce the banned world lists. Good luck with the changes.
  5. Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.
  6. There's also an almost complete lack of rubbish bins in that part of Bangkok (and most of Thailand). However, there are plenty of "rubbish police" hanging around waiting for you to drop anything, to then immediately approach you and demand a 2000 baht fine. Are the little white tents still around that part of Sukhumvit? That's where the fines are demanded. Not even a rubbish bin in sight near them either.
  7. The heavy traffic is in the opposite direction. Flew from Bangkok to Nakhon Phanom late yesterday afternoon. Flight was packed. Usually not so much.
  8. Yep, at first it seems like they want you to have a Microsoft account, but there is also an option to skip and sign in without one. You can also make it login automatically, not that you should. This is not a reason to use Linux, although there are many, just none that float my boat.
  9. Exactly this. Take the job and go there alone, staying in a hotel for at least a few weeks. If you like it, find the rental house and schools and move the rest of the family.
  10. OP might mean the airport immigration holding block rather than the actual IDC in central Bangkok. I was refused entry a few years ago and held at Swampy in the immigration area which is a few minutes walk and down at least one flight of stairs from the arrival area. I was most definitely not free to leave and although I was only in the main area sat on a chair for an hour or two, I believe they also have holding cells / bunks their too for longer stays.
  11. You can get back to the re-entry permit desk if you are in the Fast Track lane, but in this case you do get stamped out first and then turn left on the main airside walkway (where the duty free shops are) to get to the desk. Tell the IO that you want a re-entry permit and you'll probably get escorted there (I did). Unless the security queue is really long in the normal lanes, I'd use them even if you are entitle to Fast Track.
  12. When did she first report the attempted rape? Was it only after she was accused of theft?
