  1. If anyone is still reading this thread i will give you an update. I went with Ipostal1 for my forwarding service. I was able to change all of my bank accounts as well as my credit cards with one exception. Bank of America would not accept it as an address. I called to ask more and was told it was a big no. I ended up canceling the card. So far everything else is going well.
  2. So, which company can I use in order to get credit and debit cards. If the company is a registered CMRA there seems to be a problem right?
  3. I have had a relative handling my mail but that will be ending soon. I am looking for a good mail forwarding service that will scan my mail if needed. Also one that would be able to mail over credit cards...There are tons on the internet, but I am looking for one that someone has used. Any tips? Thanks
  4. Well, I should have just sat home and taken Tylenol. I did go to the covid wing of one of the local hospitals and was asked by the doctor which antivirals I wanted. I told her I wasn't an expert at Covid medication and she then asked me again which medication I wanted. She was as useless as the early responses in this thread. "Ask your doctor." Right. Anyway, if I had it to over again I would skip the doctor and research online which medication was best and then tried to find a local pharmacist who stocked them. 8000 baht later and let's see if I can get my insurance company to pay for it.
  5. Well. The question is if I even need a doctor. I am actually concerned with being there n a taxi and also a hospital waiting room. I would hate to spread it. With all my vaccination I wonder if I shouldn't ride it out like it is a cold.
  6. I just did a covid test at my hotel and it was positive. I have had 5 different vaccine injections and the last one was about 3 weeks ago. Not feeling so bad except for a minor cold and a very sore back. Advice needed. Should I go to the doctor to get antivirals or just ride it out?
  7. Thanks guys. I found one. A little hard to do being there was no English translation in the instructions but I figured it out
  8. Does Thailand sell a at home covid test? If so where can I find it? Thanks.
  9. Just in case if anyone is having the same problem as I am I found out you cannot add an overseas credit card until you are in country. That seems strange but I will arrive Tuesday so will find out.
  10. Just curious if a gaiter will pass as a mask in BKK? I find them to be easier to keep handy. After all, they are hard to lose when they are around your neck.
  11. Thanks for the tip. Are they expensive in Bangkok? Someone tried to sell me some for 1900 Baht which seems very high compared to what I am paying in the USA.
  12. Thanks guys. I have no idea why the GRAB App will not allow me to put my USA credit card information in the APP. I prefer having it on the card so I don't have to worry about having the change ready.
  13. I am planning a trip to BKK next week and have downloaded the GRAB app. I was hoping to add my credit card which is from the USA but keep being told my card is not accepted. Is cash only used for Grab? Also, is Grab like UBER where non taxis give ride or are they taxis? Thanks.
  14. Book a ticket on www.expedia.com. Make sure it is that exact website. Do it right before you will check in at the airport. Make sure you book a ticket on an airline that has a relationship with a USA carrier. Thai International, Singapore of Malaysia will do. Avoid any of the discounters. You have 24 hours from booking the ticket to cancel and get a full refund.
  15. I buy them at a shop in the USA and am getting 10mg per gummy. It appears that is not available in Bangkok, right?
