There are lowlifes in every part of world the same as there are good people in every part of the world. Thailand is no different to anywhere else.

Some schools in Thailand are changing, the school I help to run is a 'new concept school' in it's 3rd year of opening. We teach and explain the '7-habits of leadership' from Stephen Covey which encourages the students to be leaders, ask questions, set goals and take control of their learning. Education is changing in Thailand..........albeit very slowly!

If you are on a NON B visa already and you want to continue teaching then the school/company can extend the visa in their/your local immigration every year if you are working/teaching with them. However if your contract ends this month and you are not renewing then the Non B extension is not an option unless you find new employment before the end of the month.

I have applied for my licence and be asked the following :- a copy of the equivalence of educational qualification "Diploma in Teaching Education" from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. Has anyone had to do this? I have a DIPTED with St Roberts Philippine Christian University, I presume i need some sort of acknowledgement of this? I have already provided copies and the original letter of certification. I would be interested to know if anyone has been asked to do this and the procedure. They have also advised me I need to wait for a test, however it appears these are done at the beginning and the end of each year. My last waiver runs out in July! What a great system. I hope they will give me a waiver again if I have to wait for a test.
