  1. We had the same situation in December, start again with TM 30, TM87, then to counter 7 in Jomtien for the 90 day Non O.

They wanted proof of address (we had done the TM30) and would not accept the front page copy of my chanote but wanted a copy of the back page as well plus a letter from our condo juristic person stating that we actually lived there.

Also they said my wife could not piggy back on my financials for the first year but would have to apply independently (800,000 in her bank)

They were obliviously making it difficult for us leaving 2 options, open negotiations with them (I take care you) which I had negotiated on previous occasions or use an agent.

As we had spent 2 hours in a crowded space (not good for Covid 19) getting the 2 TM30 approval I decided to use a friendly agent.

For the price of a new scooter everything was sorted in about a month that just left 2 multiple reentry permits to do myself (THB 7200), maybe I'll do Certificates of Residence later.

  2. I have a nvidia shield pro box with the sixstartv app (Smarters)  for $6 per month.

Works fine and has a free backup feed in case the main feed has a problem.

However it does not have Netflix or Prime channels so I'm looking for another app so I can watch these series. Any suggestions?

  3. Our October 2020 flight was cancelled and early in 2021 we were offered the choice of vouchers or a refund.

As there were restrictions on travel we opted for a refund.

We received an email confirming the amount to be refunded but told this would take some time due to bankruptcy proceedings.

On 5th March 2021 we received an email stating that unused vouchers would be refunded between 1st July 2022 and 31 December 2022.

Whether this also applies to simple refunds is debatable. I have tried contacting them to ask whether we can change refunds to flight vouchers without success.

Has anyone managed to get a refund yet?  .....or an active email address that replies?

  4. Due to the horrendous queues at Jomtien Immo last week I could not face another 3 or 4 visits.

(It took us 2 and half hours to pay THB 1000 fines for not reporting to Immigration 24 hours after arrival in spite of being in a Q hotel for the first 24 hours)

Therefore I donated the price of a new scooter to my local fixer to resolve the situation.

I've known him for many years and he has supported our local Expats Club and has always given given good (free) advice.

  6. I'm looking for a flight back to Thailand in November under the Thailand Pass system, many airlines  especially the Gulf ones offer free date change , useful if you have problems with the new entry requirements.

However, the only one with direct flights is THAI but they want to charge for changes which could make them the most expensive. Guess I'll have to book with a 1 stop airline.

  7. I've been out of the country for about 1 year, still waiting to return, and my international roaming stopped on both phones 3 days ago so no calls or SMS possible now.

After spending half an hour on their website I can't find a way to contact them there.

Has anyone got their e-mail address or a suggestion for contacting them to get my international roaming reactivated?

  8. Our yearly Non "O" extension expires next month. Do we want to pay at least THB 60,000 twice to stay in a room for 14 days and pay for a charter flight? We probably won't be allowed to use our THAI airways return tickets. Then we have to start the visa again from scratch.

So do we want to spend around THB 200,000 for the privilege of entering Thailand?

......or spend that money on a few winter months in the Canary islands.

  9. I was in a similar situation last year. My wife applied for a 90 day Non O visa at the Thai Embassy in her home country. They said they can't issue her with a Non O visa she must apply at her local Immigration office in Thailand.

Jomtien said they could issue a 90 day Non O but she would need 800,000 THB in her bank account 2 months prior to applying for a ! year extension of stay based on retirement.

  10. My Indonesian wife applied for a 90 day Non O visa at the Thai Embassy in Jakarta with a view to then get a 1 year retirement extension. Her previous annual retirement extension expired mid June.

They said that they don't issue Non O visas anymore and that she must apply for one in Thailand which she has done. Needed to do the usual "take care you" fee. (I think we all know how much that is)
